I'd love to see the Dusk Raiders been done, would be perfect in the new mkiii. Would also be interesting to see that one done with a metallic undercoat
yes definitely...even with a grey scheme the other layers that go on top of this would make for a very interesting tutorial and id love to see Cults take on it too
The War Hounds had a great look and knowing a bit of the lore makes them so much more tragic. They used to be a this tight knit brotherhood. Their methods in combat were brutal, yes. But there was a lot of honor and camaraderie in the legion. All of that disappeared when Angron came in and the War Hounds put the nails into their own heads. The mk 3 is contentious? I personally love it and haven’t heard a lot again it. The spike is neat. It turns the helmet into a pickelhaube and those helmets are pretty cool looking.
This is definitely a great choice of legion to show off the new MkIII kit. They look awesome. If you plan to do any more, I think it might be really cool to model the Revenant Legion as well. Sanguinius could use some "before and after" models to stand with him in the display case.
The War-Born (ultramarines) don't really have much fluff, but would be cool to see you expand it to ideas of what they might've looked like, or any number of variations you might be able to do for a pre-heresy scheme, regardless of the legion
@@cultofpaintas someone who does a traitor variant of the XIII (or rather II thats was incorporated after their primarch was "lost" and rebels after the Heresy starts), yes please.
the Mark III kits might be my new favourite, especially as someone who collected a handful of Death Guard models as my entry into the hobby. Speaking of Death Guard, I feel like the Dusk Raiders scheme would look phenomenal on these new kits, the asymmetrical red arm and shoulder armor scheme is a very cool look.
Very nice looking warhound! You've got me thinking about painting a dreadnought for my world eaters force with this older scheme to represent an ancient warrior reawoken.
Henry i think this is your best heresy scheme yet. Obviously the white looks great, but that blue steals the show, looking brilliant. Dusk Raiders scheme please 💀
Seeing some of the Calth and Prospero starter set models painted up as War Hounds by BeardyHammer is what initially sold me on the Heresy, got me into collecting 30k World Eaters, eventually attending an MKA class, and then later following this channel, so seeing them come to life on the channel is DEFINITELY welcome! The blue is just brilliant!
Such a great colour scheme, great work! The itch to start whatever legion you paint is always there heh. Your take on a White Scars (Star Hunters) pre-heresy scheme could be fun, been thinking of a Recon force with that theme myself. Dusk Raiders is a good one as well.
Great scheme, I like the change of colour on the back of the legs. FYI Mk2 pauldrons look really nice on this new armour, I think they are subtly better.
Hello! I love the baby-blue metallic snd the tonal contrast to it being (one of) the most vicious Legion. Id absolutely love a pre-heresy raven guard scheme with xeric tribe tatoo markings, the same that can be found on their amazing contemptor dreadnought model.
Fantastic as always, looks like a great stand in for a Badab War Executioners scheme. Excited to see what the team keeps putting out in the near future!
Love to see the Imperial Fists after Unification Wars and award of the Roma. This was when they still had their storm grey unpainted armour but acquired the imperial fists yellow right pauldron, vambrace, and gauntlet, with yellow stripe on the helm, black bolt across the chest and yellow imperial motif on left pauldron (eagle head inside a circle with crossed bolts).
We need a new Word Bearers army, the last one looked to like Thousand Sons. I made my version with X-27 Acrilic and then Enamel preshade so they are proper dark blood red. Maybe Space wovles? They are metallic shaded.
This looks ace! Would love to see the grey Imperial Fists one - exactly because it could be so dull, but have tried in the past and thought there was potential for really making it special - and know you could do that far better!
I tried this scheme today it's very effective. I will need to adjust how many blue layers I do next time as I lost the nice metallic shine you are having. I also went overboard with the silver chipping, for the next marines I will re-watch this and try to get them closer to your lads. Very cool scheme thanks for uploading it
You mentioned last video wanting to do some Badab stuff. If that does happen, any chance we could see some Fire Hawks? I’ve been wanting to paint some up, but it’s been nearly impossible to get the color just right. It’s a very peculiar, sort of burnt sienna color. Figured if anyone would know what to do, it would be you!
Fantastic content as always! Would love to see more unique schemes you don’t see often like this! Would be interested how you could develop one of the more “boring” schemes like you mentioned into something as brilliant as this. Keep it up guys!
That's a very striking scheme, and you've just helped me decide what I'm doing with my new Legion Battle Group box. I was thinking of using the air version of GW's Kantor Blue as I believe they're more formulated for using in the airbrush, as in pre-thinned to a certain extent - the idea being it'll save all the extra thinning you said you did for your application of that blue. Keep up the incredible and inspirational work in this series.
I'd love to see more pre-Heresy schemes, all the more for how well this one turned out! The crusade colours lend so much to the progression of each legion and are pretty interesting in their own right. Most are pretty subtle and sensible, but as I just saw another comment on, the Thousand Sons one really marks them out. This video got me thinking that their bolder colours are like some prototype jet or rocket from the early atomic age, like the Bell X-1 or something, haha. It suits their volatile power too. Cheers for the great work!
By far the best Warhound paintjob on YT! Amazing and beautiful translation from paper to paint(job). Now is my question... all legions from the Badab War please!? :)
I have to admit these new MK3s are really starting to grow on me, even if I think there are some things I preferred about the old sculpts. I'd again vote for the mostly black variant of the Imperial Fists scheme as a variant scheme I'd like to see.
What a phenomenal paint job and colour scheme! As a fellow pre heresy enjoyer and also world eaters fanatic I’m planning on a war hounds kill team using this kit but wasn’t sure how it would look. You’ve nailed the original art work by using the metallic blue! I’ll have to try to replicate with a brush as don’t an airbrush. Amazing work! Can’t wait to see more
I have a Luna Wolves army I've been working on, I'm never quite satisfied with the white and black. If you go through more of the pre-heresy schemes I'd love to see it.
I love the pre-heresy schemes, especially since they work so well for loyalists from traitor legions. I'd love to see you take a crack at the Nemesis Chapter of the Ultramarines, which had their destroyers and was distrusted because it was full of Terran veterans who spent way too long palling around with the Night Lords. That dark grey, silver, and blue works really well IMO.
This is as ever really well done, World Eaters/ Warhounds were my favourites right before I found happiness, with the salt lords that are the Iron Warriors! Since you're taking suggestions, I think Thunder Warriors would be cool to do, not just as a quick paint up, but also as a fun conversion project for one or two videos(?).
The thousand sons pre Magnus scheme is pretty loco
Now i need a tutorial for that as well
I'd love to see the Dusk Raiders been done, would be perfect in the new mkiii. Would also be interesting to see that one done with a metallic undercoat
definetly hoping for some of those. My army is a mix of DG and DR
@@MortalGlareme too! Love the red popping through some of my models.
Luna wolves would be great. Also maybe an updated Alpha Legion scheme with contrast or vmc gunmetal blue or something
Would be supercool to see the pre-Magnus Thousand Sons scheme. Definitely something different!
Is it? It's white with 1 blue and 1 orange shoulder. Not very different
@@Necronominisas opposed to metallic red, gold and white?
I was looking to do the same!
Would love to see a Pre HH Blood Angels one.
yes definitely...even with a grey scheme the other layers that go on top of this would make for a very interesting tutorial and id love to see Cults take on it too
Man I'm glad that the heresy series is continuing. These are so relaxing to watch and it's a lovely scheme

Revenant Legion for sure!
As a Garro fan, I would love to see a Dusk Raider painted up!
These look fantastic. War Hounds are one of my favorites as well.
Would love to see more pre-heresy schemes! Luna Wolves, Imperial Heralds, etc
That looks absolutely stunning! That is exactly the metallic blue I'm after for my Alpha Legion

This color scheme… ❤️
An Alpha Legion army done in this scheme would look baller.
Luna Wolves!
I'd really love to see some Iron Hands in either the new MK3 or MK6
You should do a series for all pre heresy schemes
they'll all get done as part of the heresy playlist
@@cultofpaint nice!

Pre corax raven guard with a little Polynesian pattern work for that ashen claw /charcharadons connection could be fun
I'd love to see some pre heresy Word Bearers. How to make dark grey/neutral grey interesting.
adding to the chorus calling for pre-Magnus Thousnad sons, though it would be neat to see some great crusade night lords as well

I appreciate that once they became the World Eaters they inverted the colour scheme.
Looks awesome, I honestly can't see world eaters in it but it's still an amazing scheme.
Definitely a White Scars pioneer company paint scheme
This scheme is just lovely. I really want to give it a crack.
Sweet some WarHounds/WorldEaters being painted. Love the pre-heresy color scheme. One of my favorite space marines is a loyal son of theirs

both great choices
Great scheme, I like the change of colour on the back of the legs. FYI Mk2 pauldrons look really nice on this new armour, I think they are subtly better.
mk2 pauldrons my fave, but i think this kit is already leaning more towards mk2 so I want to include points of difference
I love the shoulder pads. Will use this technique for my blood ravens.
Nice!!! You're right it's. A perfect colour for ravens lads
Amazing video as always Henry. Would like to make an additional vote for Dusk Raiders.
Contrasts over silver metallics always looks amazing
Would love to see a version of the Revenant Legion. Recognise they are a bit grey but with blood effects would be great! Xx
Favourite CoP video ever for me. The scheme, the Legion, the mini and of course that end result 🤯 Fantastic stuff.
This would be a great Ultramarine scheme as well

That blue in incredible!
The first one with a darker blue maybe can work for Executioners as a process 🤩
Just incredible, great colour scheme.

Probably my favorite pre heresy scheme. I prefer the cream body and blue shoulders, but the inverted is striking
I'd love to see Luna Wolves! I've been waiting for the new MkIII to start them
