Said it once, be saying it again, this is the most underrated rock song ever. Listen, listen, I grew up in the 60’s, 70’s, buying Zep and Beatles as they came out.... this is simply an amazing tune....
These guys are the real sound of the Little River Band. The imposters need to be sent to jail for defrauding the American public and pretending to be these guys. I know the real sound of LRB, have been listening to it since I was fifteen years old, and this is the real sound of the original voices of that band. They always were and always will be!
My mom passed on in 2010 and she loved the little river band. She told us to not to grieve but listen to the music she loved and smile and sing along. Here I am happily doing so 🥰❤️
There is an earthly 🌎 resurrection!!! You can see your mom again! Mine passed at 49 years old. I miss her. But she also has the resurrection hope as well
If you love LRB there’s a great reaction channel that in the last few days has done a deep dive reacting to lots of LRB check out Jamal’s channel. He started with a John Farnham live version of Reminiscing. Got lots of requests for the Glenn Shorrock Version and now he’s working his way through the catalogue.
Kerryn Simmons It’s because of Jamel AKA Jamal that I’m here right now! Revisiting my LRB roots and loving the catch-up in time with them. Jamel is a dear, sweet soul and we need to keep telling people about him!
Always been a favorite of my misspent wayward youth, this song is just timeless perfection. Also the young kid playing lead has a lot of skill and a nice tone.Way to go boys!!
Hard to believe anyone would want to continue trying to match these guys for harmonies and musicianship. These guys are Little River Band, and the American "tribute" band that has their name will never do them justice! So glad Birtles/Shorrock/Goble continue to perform, and perform well! Thanks for sharing!
This is the Heart and Soul of the Little River Band. Even if the name is no longer theirs. I have a great name you guys can have and get back out there. As Amber Dawn. A new Beginning with an old Soul.. God Bless youvall.
Wow! At a time when most singers would hang up the mic after such a long and distinguished career, Glenn's voice is STILL just AMAZING!! Well done, gang!!
You only have to listen to these music geniuses Birtles, Shorrock & Goble and look back at their extraordinary pedigree to realise there is only one L.R.B. No one can claim harmonies and song writing like them.
1981, Las Vegas, NV “Time Exposure” tour. This was their opening song, the original 7+ min version, when it ended I was sitting there with my mouth open in awe of the tight music and precise vocal harmonies. This remains one of the best concerts I ever saw.
Love this song! One of the groups best and most underrated by the public when it comes to Guitar solos and Riffs! The Youngens' in the support band played the notes as if they were part of the original line up, something the makes any fan smile!!!
These are the three main ingredients to LRB. They sure gave me some great musical memories. They were big here in the US but I don't think they get the credit for their impact on that magical time in music history. Fantastic!!!
Agree. Great voices and harmonies. But have a feeling you don't know that this was recorded in July 2003. The 3 of them last performed together in 2007.
Goble wrote this song to tell the story of his long lonesome drives from his home town of Adelaide to Melbourne to play with his band. And what a story he tells! Those harmonies.
When I first heard this song I wanted my band to do it. Well, we compromised and did 'Help is on the way' and 'Curiosity killed the cat', and 'Happy Anniversary'. Man they were the best, I saw them at a small club in Virginia Beach in the late 70's, The Rogues Gallery, I believe. I had a front row, round table, … the stage pulsed with energy. So good!
highflyingnote, You would need a “shit hot” lead guitarist and 3 guys who are once in a generation to sing it! Hope you are still playing and loving it.
Geoff Campbell LOL! You just described my band ‘Lynnbrook’ from back in the mid ‘70’s! You won’t find anything about us as it was before the internet. We did well, playing clubs and colleges in the ‘Old Dominion’ area of Virginia. We all met in high school and had a dream of playing out someday, I was so lucky to have met those guys, we didn’t go anywhere but we had so much fun!
Heard them in Red Rocks Denver. First concert I ever took a date to. Married her and We have three children. I watched lighting out to the east of Rocks while they JAMED!!!! to this song. I think 79 or 80? I have this on my iPhone today. I cannot count the miles I put on this song. Thanks guys.
A hidden masterpiece from LRB. So many years on, and I hear influences I never recognized back then: Alan Parsons Project, Crosby/Stills/Nash/Young, maybe a little ZZ Top, and some later Dire Straits at the end. And NO AUTOTUNE!
Michael McDonald wasn’t the real Doobies. He converted them to the Disco Doobies when Tom got ill. The DBs were a hardcore biker band from NorCal and the Songs reflected that heritage.
Michael McDonald wasn't Disco, he sang Blue Eyed Soul. He actually saved the Doobie Brothers from fading away into history like most all of the other 70's classic rock and roll bands, when lead singer Tommy Johnston got sick with ulcers and had to leave the band during the summer of 1976, and they needed a fill in to complete the tour. Michael was so talented they asked him to stay and the four Grammy Awards came as a result. Tommy eventually rejoined the band and Michael went on his own.
When I hear these guys, it takes me back to the late 1970s. I remember distinctly where I was, what I was doing, and what was going through my young mind. It's nice to go back there, not to stay, but just to visit...
I think I wouldn't mind staying for a while 😉. It was such a great time for life,.music, learning, love. Those were the days. Youth is fleeting but we dont realize soon enough. Bittersweet memories.
these guys are the best!!! the ones who bought and use the name ONLY have a name....not the talent. this is the sound true fans want to hear. hope the originals know how much joy they bring :)

First heard this song on first LRB album released in US...right after they were named band of year in OZ in 1976. The musicianship and vocals remained strong for many years. Nothing can compete!
This backing band is freaking awesome. I love the fact that the majority of the players probably weren’t even born when this song was recorded and popular, but they do it justice. This is the little river band , not that American version out of Nashville, Tennessee.
Great, great performance. The harmony as always great. The solo-guitarist is a big, big talent with a really great sound. All the mombers of the band are enjoying themselves; great fun to watch. Can’t stop watching this song; big Thanks and Greetz from Holland!
This is one of my favorite songs ever by one of my favorite 3 bands in the world (Beatles, Eagles, LRB). Never tire of it, but sure miss these guys. Saw them live 3 times before the "Imposters" took over. Simon does a real nice job on lead guitar but nothing beats the original played by Ric Formosa. Really like the drummer and bass player on this one too.
Not the original version I grew up listening to but a real good take on a brilliant song. I just read the lead guitarist is Simon Hosford, I've never heard of him until now but I love what he brought to the song, tasty licks and great attitude. You could just tell he was having a good time, which spills over into his playing. The vocals still awesome after all these years. Well done L.R.B.!
wonderful and amazing band...love their music with the originals...great sound..fantastic voices...a great band...LOVE YOU L.R.B....greetings from Honduras

LRB played on Canadian radio in my area back in the 70s. This is one of my favorite songs, from a band who got way too little attention.
Said it once, be saying it again, this is the most underrated rock song ever. Listen, listen, I grew up in the 60’s, 70’s, buying Zep and Beatles as they came out.... this is simply an amazing tune....
Yeah but...they do rip of CSNY.... beautifully.
totally concur!
well said. True. It is very good

I love this band LRB. Seen them several times with Glen and without Glen.
Still beautiful after all these years. What a bunch of crooners.
God's musical angels matched you together with their groovy frequency connections. ❤

I saw them in Jacksonville FL around 1980. The crowd went wild every time Beeb added his harmonies. Fantastic show.
This is THE LITTLE RIVER BAND. No one else. They still sound amazing, and this song is classic!
Excellent, wonderfull, guau!

Yeah! :)

I totally agree! I do like John Farnham a little better though.
@@johnbelcher9741 I love his voice a whole lot better
This is the real LRB..
Absolutely my favorite LRB tune. Grew up listening to these guys and I always loved their music.
There's simply no substitute for these guys. Here's the heart and soul of LRB.

Those harmonies say it all. They have a distinct sound of the 70s when talent and music were one.. Still LRB to me.
Sounds like the 1977 concert I saw

There is really only one problem with this song; that is, it ends.
...spot on..... 😊😊
Nailed it!
But what an ending, lol

Fagan Fulton I was at this concert, the guys were terrific !
Not really liking the guitar sound of the backing (guy in the ski cap). The tone and style kind of clashed with the feel of the original recording.
These are the three main ingredients to LRB. They sure gave me some great musical memories. They were big here in the US but I don't think they get the credit for their impact on that magical time in music history. Fantastic!!!
Wish the real Little River Band would tour. Some of the best music of high school and college years.
I love Glenn's smile of knowing they don't need to rely on electronic gadgetry to sing harmony (still so well) as in the original years.
WOW!! This is simply AMAZING!! Still have that awesome voice & those harmonies are a true treasure!!! Music & therapy to my ears, heart & soul!!!!

Great Aussie band, always listen to this song when I'm down, it never fails to pick me up 😊
The moment that Simon Hosford starts his solo with that smile on his face.. I'm feeling that. Cannot stop smiling.
The vocal harmonies always blew me away.

I always thought of these guys as 'the Australian Doobie Brothers'. Great song from a great band.
Yeah but who is Mike Macdonald? You know what, I have to agree with you. Thanks for the idea.
Michael McDonald wasn’t the real Doobies. He converted them to the Disco Doobies when Tom got ill. The DBs were a hardcore biker band from NorCal and the Songs reflected that heritage.
