Awesome! If I wasn't about to send my players into a similarly moving parts dungeon I would be trying this out. Will have to remember to use it at a later date. Thanks!
I know this a 3 year old video, but I just ran part of this for my group. As soon as my party reached the upper floor with the dark mantles, they immediately jumped down with feather fall and created some time shenanigans.
Why have I only just found this channel!!?? That is such an elegant way of storing all of your terrain pieces! i tend to just put all of mine of a bookshelf which takes up a lot of space unnecessarily.
outstanding module thank you for the work and effort you put into your channel, crafting, & videos I real get pumped when I get a notification that you have a new upload
Ok, that was awesome. I always wanted to do a dungeon with a similar trick but yours was so much more thought out than mine. Now I guess I'll see if I can expand upon this idea.
+GradualGhost Please do. It is impossible to write a tidy time travel adventure due to paradoxes, and this one is far from perfect but I hoped it would at least provide a canvas to the painters.
God dammit, just watched this vid and now I have to build about twenty things! I don't have time to build all the inspiration I've been getting lately. tx!
I was asked to run a one-shot and had remembered this video! I went and bought the module, and I'm so excited to run it. I've always loved your videos, and I'm glad to be able to contribute something financial to your success, even if it's just a few dollars.
@@trevorclapham5571 it was super fun! I have a good group who is willing to play along with a lot, so they were totally game for the weird scenario and the fun RP sections towards the end.
@@DeadBeatDevin thanks for the response. I haven’t played in years. My wife asked me to introduce or kids to the game and run a campaign for them. My kids are 9 and 11 so it might be a bit much for them. Not to mention I am running AD&D 1e. But this looked really cool. Thanks again for the response.
Brilliant adventure! I am afraid I have to somehow make the number of rounds make sense, if the players decide to camp for the night, surely the synchronizations won't work!
+Discipol Yeah, I'd thought about that but it ended up not being an issue, luckily. Use a deus ex machina. Something wakes 'em up. Or something slows down the "current" party.
Think I may need to Savage World Convert The Vault & The Gauntlet and run them at the Con in Nov. Both awesome adventures that would be right at home at a Con (Time wise) and offering more depth than a hack and slash. Nice when you can run a cool adventure and help a brother out by pointing people towards his published work :)
Another amazing and inspirative video, Wyloch. Just one thing - the name of this video has incorrect numbering - it should be (WCV 030) if I am correct.
So this is super late but I just came across this video and loved it. Question on the hidden door in room 1 though, do you only add it after the players spot it if they are looking? or do you put it on as the room is being built and just kinda have people ignore unless they see it?
Just discovered your channel. You do great work and both modules I have watched so far look fun. I am wondering if you offer a service for DMing? If have the time that is. I bet players might enjoy you taking them through your modules with your custom terrain tiles. I am not sure what the market charges for such services but you might be able to bring in $300-500 an adventure. Just seemed to be the first thing that popped into my head watching your module videos. Anyways, great work.
Thanks very much! No, I do not offer DMing services. I am opposed to paid DM'ing. Just my opinion. I do however DM when it's time to have fun. Also in truth I am a very mediocre DM. 😅
@@WylochsArmory I never even knew paid DMing was a thing until a couple of days ago. I am just going to DM for my wife and children (AD&D 1e). You do great work, thanks for sharing it and for the response.
I ran this the other day and my group asked what would happen if Julinda died versus if she lived and when I told them, them having a nat 20 on investigation, that it would most likely reset my fighter wanted to try and sneak their new friend, their sorceress get a nat 20 on charisma to befriend her, out with the bag of holding. how should I have addressed this because I had Julinda say she couldn't leave.
+Alex Knight Sorry, I didn't understand most of that question but basically if Julinda surrenders, doesn't use her dust of single stasis, and the party executes her, it would probably create a paradox, casting everyone into the Astral Plane.
I had a great time running this adventure as a capstone to a simple two floor dungeon. This was a great end to a campaign before two of my players moved away. When you create another dungeon, let me know, I'd love to take a crack at it! www.anarchydice.com/2016/06/15/tales-from-the-table-failures-from-bwa-april-and-may/
I hate to be the one to tell you this after all this time, but i just finished part 6 of tomb of annihilation and you're confused as to why a huge skeleton would be in a 3x3 tile room. Its at this point that i have to tell you that you've been scaling literally everything wrong. In map design for literally every DnD map ever, one tile = two 5 foot square, which means each individual tile is 10x10 and not 5x5. So, you've essentially cut the volume of all your dungeon tiles in half. :/

I love the instant universe death consequence - Medieval Oldschool :)
Great video! Really cool way to implement time travel into an adventure!
Awesome stuff, we have our New Years Eve DnD party coming up & I'm gonna use this. My group is gonna LOVE IT!!!!!!!!!!! Keep them coming!!!!
Please let me know what improvements can be made! Valuable playtest...
I keep re-watching these vids
Keep up the good work!
This is an epic session(s) for my rpg group. Cannot thank you enough for sharing this!
Awesome work as usual, enjoy the time off and I hope it truly does inspire more cool projects.

This was so satisfying.

Could you make a playlist of your oneshots? It'd be great to be able to find them all in one spot.

Interesting layout.
What a great adventure
Friggin' time travel, man.
Awesome awesome awesome!
Was any of this inspired by the ending of Bill + Ted's Excellent Adventure? "Ted, don't forget to wind your watch!"
No, was inspired by The Journeyman Project
Damn that's clever!
Love it Great Job!
How do you RP the players ripping the universe asunder? This adventure sounds awesome!
Perhaps they are hurled into the astral plane, kicking off a quest to restore what they just did.
Wyloch's Crafting Vids Excellent!
simply badass!
How many of each type of tile does this require?

Did you craft the "shelves" you used to hold your terrain in that box?
amazing
Hi Bill. I am a bit old school in regards to D&D. Are any of your modules compatible with Basic D&D, the old red book,,, or AD&D Second Edition.
They are written for 5e

OMG!
What is the intended party level for this one-shot?
Probably around 5th-ish
