I really, really love how you not only list instructions ("do this, then do that") but instead actually explain _why_ you do certain things ("do this because", "if you do that, then..."). It is incredibly helpful to know why a cook does certain things!

I ate. I'm full. But somehow, after watching Aaron's flavorful cooking, I'm hungry again. I swear I can almost smell the food though my screen. And Claire's amazing food reviews really don't help. She's so descriptive, and she looks like she's enjoying the food so much. I'm craving all the foods shown in this video now!

Oh Aaron I can't thank you enough! I am Canadian and am used to "meat and potatoes," bland food. Always identified as not being able to cook. Turns out it was the ingredients and the teachers. You are an AMAZING teacher and the ingredients are too! Now everything I cook is delicious! I feel born again 😅🇨🇦. Thank you so so much!

I didn't realize that teriyaki sauce was so easy to make. I haven't had buldak since I was in Korea, many years ago (1987); sadly, I can't make it at home as my wife can't do spicy food any more - so it'll have to wait until we can have some spicy food fiends over for dinner. Many thanks for this video!

I used to marinate my teriyaki chicken and then cook it like my daddy taught me. But I did it this way, and my dad was sceptical at first, but when I made the teriyaki chicken this way, he said it was the best he ever had. So, I'll have to take a picture next time. Thank you for the recipe. ❤

My husband has been trying to get me to cook Korean food for years! but since I learned to cook from him (he's 100% white American) instead of my Korean mom, I didn't know any Korean recipes or spices or anything. My mom has been trying to send me recipes, but I always found the videos she sent too hard to follow. Thank goodness I found you, because I am finally cooking Korean food thanks to your gentle guidance! Thanks!

Aaron - I appreciate when you make suggestions for using different ingredients or what you have at home, very helpful as sometimes in Canada some of the ingredients not easy to find. Claire - always a joy to watch, so sweet and always makes me smile. Loved seeing your dog in the background, super cute. Thank you for all your hard work and sharing your recipes and techniques. Hoping you get a sponsor soon, the two of you definitely deserve it, great job.

Note from tons of last-minute teriyaki cooking: you don't have to make the sauce in advance at all. You can just put equal parts mirin, sake, and soy sauce (+ sugar, but I personally don't like super sweet food) in the pan with the chicken once the chicken is cooked through. Just move it around and flip the chicken to coat.
I literally just put a big spoon-full of each liquid in the pan and its done in like 2 minutes, lol.

This might be a weird trick here in the US, but I know a way to do ramen without chopsticks. It’s called a ramen burrito (it’s got a joke name of jailhouse burrito because it is super simple to make even in jail)
But it requires individually packaged ramen packets. You take the package of ramen and open one end, make sure to not split the sides. Take out the packets inside the package and then crush the ramen inside the package. You can leave chunks unbroken if you want…no rules really here. When ramen is broken up, dump whatever spices or sauces or whatever you want, or just use the packets that came with it. Close the package with one hand and shake everything around. Get hot water (not boiling. Just the hottest your faucet can go) and pour the water into the package. Use a bag clip or clothes pin to close the end you opened. You can let the noodles get Al dente if you want, but be sure to shake around the contents so salt doesn’t settle in the corners. Remove the clip after a few minutes, pinch the open end with your hands drain out all the liquid. This is where the paper towels come in. Lay out enough paper towels to go around the package twice. Fold the open end around itself and create something that looks like a HotPocket or burrito shape with the package around the ramen. Wrap the package with the paper towel and then either place it under a big book…or sit on it…it’s weird…I know. But that’s how this works. The pressure helps compress the burrito to eat with your hands.
When the body feels firm and won’t squish a lot when pushed, remove the ramen from the package and dip it or top it with whatever you want.
Sorry this was long, just wanted to help in case you decide to try this. Addition of toppings and seasonings has a good place here.
Best wishes and much love from Washington state. 🤘😎🇺🇸
