that looks like normal turmeric to me .... turmeric grows inside soil like raddish potatoes..... u boil it, then peel, then dry it under sun for long time and then grind it.

You have to have someone else (maybe a local) order the food and then you go in when it is ready. That would be a lot more authentic.
