- Today I review my Farer three-hand "Resolute" watch. I show some shots of the applied lume (really cool) as well as leather, nato-style, and butterfly steel bands. Is it worth the $895?
Farer changed the game by dropping the SW-200 and going with the LJP G101. +/-7sec per day, 68hr power reserve. All things considered, if you like the design, it’s worth the price.
100% Agreement over the price point. This is a $400-$500 dollar watch without a metal strap. For a thousand dollars you can get so many other watches by more reputable watch companies. This is just my opinion. They’ve sold out on these though. So, they must be doing well. The NUMBER 1 it factor for me however is that it comes in 36mm which I feel is the best unisex size case! Too few watches are offered in this size anymore and these days unisex is between 38-42mm. It’s way too big and loud.. again opinion. I’m all for the sly reach out, cuff of shirt come up and something sleek and sexy pops out.. not a monstrosity
Great review! I came across Farer yesterday for the first time and insta-bought one of their watches.
A beautiful watch, vibrant colours, well-manufactured, and with interesting complications - at fair value.
Thank you for including the steel bracelet, thinking about buying
Great watch! I just ordered a Farer Erebus 2.
Raised in MI, I know what you mean by taking advantage of your summers. Congrats on your site, and your great reviews!!
Thank you very much for the great review. I live in Canton SE Michigan would look into punching this watch.
Hey Robert thanks for the kind words. What are you cross shopping?
@@jrsnow94 Oops, purchasing this watch. The Longines Spirit 37 champagne dial is what I am looking into.
Ah, yeah I've got my eye on that one (one day!) as well, in blue. both that and the Farer have similar applied arabics numerals, wonder how the lume compares...
An impressive dial, looked really smashing, well done on your purchase, just a little big for me, would liked to have seen a 1960’s version of available.
Thanks, and I would have liked it better as a 38 rather than 39.5. I’ve heard rumors of a 36MM version of the three hand collection coming…we will see.
Here’s a link to some of the straps featured in this video-the single pass ones are especially good. www.cheapestnatostraps.com/collections/adjustable-single-pass-straps
What specific strap did you get (the green strap)? The Farer website has multiple green straps. It looks like the Agave Green, but not sure...
I got the “recommended” green Berenia leather strap. While Farer still sells the Berenia straps, they don’t sell the green one anymore. The strap is excellent.
The PRX, gets my vote all day long!
I was interested in the looks of the watch but the price turned me off big time. For me it’s not worth what they are asking. Now it’s priced at $995.
Unfortunately it doesn't have a date...which an everyday watch for me mist have...agree on that its on the large size...38 mm would work better with the design...a thing I always nit picked on all the 39 mm Farer I had.
Date isn't important these days if you have a mobile phone. 38mm is too small for most men, certainly for me.
@@tancreddehauteville764 for me a date is very welcome.
Great video, horrible audio. Somebody was cutting the grass out nearby. Got to figure out a bettwr way to do reviews if you want to do it outdoors. Lovely timepiece. Should give the buyer a choice of colora in terms of face, hour markers to make it even more personalized.
Hi Daniel, You are right about the audio-didn't want to re-record it but will try to find quieter times to record. Thanks for the feedback. Probably done recording outdoors for the winter. Also working on getting a better microphone.
And, although personalization would be nice, at least they have about 4 other variants of the Three-hand. I would love to see the Purple one in person: usd.farer.com/products/discovery
Definitely they don’t deliver value. Good looking dial, best fot a micro brand.
Nice watch! I've never seen a Bible verse stamped into a caseback before. Somewhat offputting for me personally as I consider the book nonsense.
Romans 3:12-14 (KJV)
12 They are all gone out of the way, they are together become unprofitable; there is none that doeth good, no, not one.
13 Their throat is an open sepulchre; with their tongues they have used deceit; the poison of asps is under their lips:
14 Whose mouth is full of cursing and bitterness:
Thanks for the comment! I guess you would probably not engrave yours with a bible verse! Are you quoting that passage as an example of one you don’t understand? Or, you don’t agree with it?
@@jrsnow94 Neither, I just don't believe the Bible is true-- both Testaments, cover to cover. I only included the passage so that others who noticed the caseback wouldn't have to Google it. I do think your watch is cool. If the verse appeals to you, all the better.
Since we're sharing, I recently purchased the Muhle-Glashutte Panova Blau. I'm very pleased with it!
@JR Snow My sincere apologies! I thought the manufacturer stamped the Romans verse into the caseback. I didn't realize you had it engraved until I checked out the website. Enjoy your new, custom watch! ✌
Ah! Makes sense. For what it’s worth, I chose Romans 13:12-14, which is more caseback-appropriate than the passage you quoted, haha. I just looked up your watch-Gorgeous!
Who the hell cares what you believe!!
