Hi there! Welcome to my humble watch channel. While watch collecting/wearing is a personal hobby of mine, not a job, I do try to provide some unique value to my viewers in a couple of ways, attempting to focus where other channels aren't:
1. I don't review watches I don't own.
2. I don't review a watch until I have owned and worn it for a significant period of time (several months). This is to both get beyond the honeymoon period of a watch, and to assess it's reliability.
3. I typically try to show watches on lots of different straps, so you can see how it would change it's look
4. I typically "dive deeper" than other reviewers, attempting to provide details perhaps others miss. This results in less of a "quick overview" feel like other channels, and it may not be for you!

Window Shopping: New Releases from Christopher Ward and Farer: Dune, Sealander 36 and Three-Hand 36
Today I comment on some new releases by Christopher Ward and Farer. Let me know in the comments what you think about these new watches.
I'm not a big fan of the design or proportions of most of these new releases, but I am excited about the trend towards smaller watches, and that the Sellita movement might have a new competitor.

SAMCO vs. Barton Silicone Straps
Переглядів 3,4 тис.Рік тому
I found some aliexpress knock-off barton silicone straps for about $5.00 each! In this video I compare both the SAMCO and Barton straps in various colors and sizes. These are a great alternative to the over-priced Barton bands. Link to the SAMCO bands: www.aliexpress.us/item/3256802885862241.html?spm=a2g0o.order_detail.order_detail_item.3.5239f19cWzkQwF&gatewayAdapt=glo2usa&_randl_shipto=US
Christopher Ward C63 Aquitaine vs. Zodiac Super Sea Wolf-Two Heritage Divers Compared-PART 2
Переглядів 2,4 тис.Рік тому
In the second part of my review, I compare the movements, design, how they both have functioned for me in my collection, and my concluding thoughts. Along the way I crack open the Zodiac and prove *someone* is yapping about swan necks when they shouldn't be... If you want a concise video reviewing either of these watches, this ain't it! If you want to see footage of both of these watches from e...
Christopher Ward C63 Aquitaine vs. Zodiac Super Sea Wolf-Two Heritage Divers Compared-PART 1
Переглядів 2,3 тис.Рік тому
In part 1 of this video, I compare the Zodiac Super Sea Wolf to the Christopher Ward C63 Aquitaine. While two very different watches, they still have some things in common, so I thought I would kill two birds with one stone by reviewing them both together. Part one includes: 1. Unboxing/packaging 2. Pricing, including the used market 3. Specs, dimensions
Islander 38 Watermelon ISL-126 Review
Переглядів 1 тис.Рік тому
Today I review the Waffle-dialed Islander 38 "Watermelon" dive watch. This watch is on sale at longislandwatch.com for $245, which I think is a great price for what you get. This is the only waffle-dial version left on the site. the audio should be improved over earlier videos as I've purchased a lapel mic. I'm also trying to consistently record/export in 4k. In this review I go over the positi...
SOTC 2022...Farer, Christopher Ward, Zodiac, and More!

This is my State of the collection as of the end of 2022. Let me know what you think, specifically: 1. What are your favorite watches out of the collection? Least favorite? 2. What kinds of watches should I add next? 3. Based on what I have collected so far, what do you think I should add next? 4. What is the watch you are most satisfied about acquiring this year? Zelos Horizons 39 Review: Trouble on the Horizon after 2 years?
Переглядів 553Рік тому
Today I do a mega-review of the Zelos Horizons 39 in Ocean Blue with the dive bezel. After a couple of years, how has this watch held up? I compare it to some other watches (mostly CW stuff), and show the Zelos on some different straps. Am I too harsh on the Horizons? What are some good alternatives? Let me know!

Farer Resolute Review+Leather, NATO-Style, Butterfly Clasp
Переглядів 10 тис.2 роки тому
Today I review my Farer three-hand "Resolute" watch. I show some shots of the applied lume (really cool) as well as leather, nato-style, and butterfly steel bands. Is it worth the $895?
Studio Underdog Watermelon Watch Review+Straps

Review with comparisons to other watches, and some shots with the watch on other straps. If you have any questions, leave me a comment below!
that zodiac looks handsome man!
My Farer Pendine is beautiful but, after 2 years it stopped working. Sent Farer five emails to try arrange it being fixed. No reply. Buy a Farer and you're on your own it seems.
not knockoff... barton just buys from the same supplier in china - they're the same.
Can I please ask if you feel strong resistance by turning the crown after, say, 5 times? Because the crown on my Watermel0n has crazy resistance and bounces back after just a few wind.
Problem with the automatic is that it cant be serviced, and its made to last only 10 years i think ?
Really enjoyed this my friend. I see so many SOTC videos full of Rolex and hype pieces at various price points and it just feels so ‘cold’ and unoriginal sometimes. It was refreshing to see an enthusiast who buys what he likes and unapologetically enjoys it. It really shows what a varied collection one can achieve without breaking the bank into 4 figures. I also own the presage mojito and adore the dial, an underrated piece for sure. I’d take a look at G-shock, maybe the steel G-2100 Casioak or just the standard square as a beater watch - I’d hate for you to scratch up all those nice steel cases next time you mud wrestle or paintball fight! Cheers
Thank you for including the steel bracelet, thinking about buying
Finally, an interesting individual collection! Perfection 🤌!
I've thought that those Underdog has Seagul movement.
Hand wind?? Why?????? Big mistake.i like this watch but 600£ for manual I don't give
Zodiac is my favorite among those. Has the most personality & Christopher Ward is the least favorite … absolutely do not like their entire lineup. I’d almost wear an Invicta before Christopher Ward.
Brilliant collection.
Outstanding collection mate. You’ve got a very honest everyday persons watch collection, and I love that. I think a seiko diver would fit in your collection nicely. They’re built tough, and can be the absolute beater you’re looking for. They also won’t break the bank. Hamilton is another brand that would fit in nicely. Look forward to see what you do next.
do you think dial looks faded in real light conditions on this prx 35 quartx blue? i saw one on a store and seemed to me like it had kind of a coating of sorts that made it look washed out, like a whiteish thing on it
I just received this watch. I think it’s beautiful however, I still don’t know how to tell the time precisely I don’t see the minute markers.
You're right that 22mm to 16.5mm is too much taper. 4mm is about right i.e. 20mm to 16mm. 22mm to 18mm. Or thereabouts. I came here for the Farer but man 50m of water resistance just isn't enough for me.
OMG your watch collection is amazing!!! Hope you enjoy all of them!!
Barton has a clearance selection, and dig... 10.99 was the black/purple because? Maybe nobody wants that combo any desirable color-19.99. I've been thinking the same about B& BS Believe it. Also found tropical for 3.57 so do look around @ and compare. Also saw good copy of that 110$ rubber 👀
Why the watch came in such different boxes? I’m waiting for my 40mm blue dial quartz for next monday and I hope to get the bigger box, looks like more premium (I know I know the watch is the same)
Re the stainless steel Farer bracelet… I’m looking on the Farrer website for which version of the bracelet to buy and I’m not sure which one? Yours fits as well as I’d expect any aftermarket strap to fit it so just wondered which stainless steel strap did you get?
The watches I would want to have from your collection - (Studio Underd0g WaterMel0n,Farer RESOLUTE,Christopher Ward C65 Aquitaine Automatic,Tissot PRX (I would want the Powermatic 41mm ver.),Orient Bambino V2). Hopefully some day it will happen. As of right now I don't have a lot of money, but in the future, when my financial situation is stable, I would have these watches, I mentioned from your list. Nice watch collection. :)
I was interested in the looks of the watch but the price turned me off big time. For me it’s not worth what they are asking. Now it’s priced at $995.
whats your wrist size?
Hi, which Farer strap did you put on the watch? It looks great.
Bump this comment! I’m looking on the Farrer website for which strap to buy and I’m not sure which one? Yours fits as well as I’d expect any aftermarket strap to fit it so just wondered which stainless steel strap did you get?
I have many samco . No problem with any so far. If you take out the spring bars on the 20, put the 19 in it will fit on 19 lugs with little difference
Still on the fence @ $264 on Jomashop
You don't have a digital watch. Given your wardrobe, I could see you pulling off something like a Casio "casioak" or a fancy G-shock "square" of some kind (even with a tie). Or maybe some kind of ani/digi like a Casio Lineage, those things are total GADA BEASTS!
What is your wrist size?
I like how you said the CW is almost feminine. It was my first impression out of the box: sophisticated nearly feminine on my 7.5 inch wrist. The watch wears smaller than the advertised 41mm is the L2L is short and I agree on the leather taper. I went with green Aquitaine on brown leather and part of me regrets not getting the bracelet for a more rugged look. The other part of me doesn’t like bracelets as I work on a laptop most of the time and I found the taper To be a bet too much. However on the leather one is toeter more taper. This is holding me off from buying a tropic strap from CW as I believe it has the same lack of taper. The leather looks ‘ok’ but it is very very comfortable to be honest. In general the watch punches above its grade especially since I bought it at 728 eur new from their yearly sale. Nice review!
Nice video. I really like the sands point collection. Stands pretty tall
prx only good thing in there
Have you heard of Hemsut straps. Exactly same as Barton. Same product. They also give you 3 straps. short and long. Price very good.
Hey hey GO MICHIGAN, GO BLUE!! Also F**k Ohio P.S good review 👏🏾 👌🏾
You obviously have good taste in watches. Follow your nose and it won't let you down...m
Cool watch but It's expensive a bit.I think the 5 atm is enough for everyday watch, not to go in swimming pool. The 3 atm wouldn't be already so okay. I'm sure it would match this strap: ua-cam.com/video/lMNpBSdDTPc/v-deo.html I also like white with orange and the colours in case of watches. Wouldn't you like to buy such Barton strap...? I'd see it. :)
I hope one day Tissot make PRX 37-38mm. So much people asking for it. Me too!
Just picked up this beauty today, love it. Wears well on my 7'' wrist. Love that hue of blue that can only be found on the 35mm quartz.
rolex are screw down crown
if the watch is tested to 10 bar rolex tests it to 10 bar where is the tissot video proving it can take 10 bar without a screw down crown and snap back
where is the water resistance test? its rated to 10 bar thats what it needs to be tested to
hi! im just seeing this video i own an oysterquartz 17000 blue dial which is 10 bar rated and i believe them, i cant believe tissot having not used a screw down crown and such to be also 10 bar rated it blows my mind i asked the company and they sent me a video on the difference between water proof and water resistant
A screw down crown has nothing to do with the water resistance of a watch. It only serves to prevent the crown from accidentally getting pulled out under water.
Nice video! I like your take on how a smaller, dressy-ish watch on bracelet like this totally works in a lot of situations and doesn't have to scream "TOOL watch." Too funny about the green vs blue too. I picked up the green a few weeks ago and loooooove how it's on the edge between green and teal, since the classic pure green of a Rolex Hulk just didn't do it for me. The subtley of it being between two colors is awesome. I even went into the store expecting to pick the blue one as a "safe" choice lol. Your blue looks great.
Shitters
I got the Discovery II (39.5mm) and will have a video that looks into the dial coming up shortly. One thing worth noting about these Farer three-handers is that they are all dial, with minimal or invivisble bezels. Compare that to CW and many others where there is more metal enshrouding and reducing the dial size. For this reason, the three-hander from Farer looks bigger than it really is. So I thought to myself, could I have gone with the 36mm instead? Dial-size, yes. But then the other dimensions of the watch would have made it feel diminutive. It's a lesson I got from the Tudor BlackBay 54, where its dial is small, but its outer dimensions -- the lug-to-lug length in particular -- makes it a watch that fits medium-large wrists too. So the downsizing, as a trend, I don't think exists. Smaller watches fit some people better, but not all people. Just like large watch fits some people, but not all people. It's not a zero sum game.
My silicon strapped Barton has twice now had the small silicon bands that hold the strap end start to tear. I asked Barton if they have any replacements they said no. I guess I'm getting SAMCO's, at least they will be cheaper with that wear problem.
Yeah, I would say both brands will break at the same frequency, the limiting factor is the material. Your conclusion is sound
HR!
That is a sleeper watch deal right there. Great sizing, materials, movement. Awesome.
I'm done buying from Barton and BluShark. They order cheap straps from Chinese factories and sell them at 3x-4x premium. And "generously" offer buy 2 get 3 deals. I have bought the same quality nato and rubber straps from Ali for literally 5$ a piece, and Ali prices also include EU VAT.
What a awesome watch
