@@stevene.sandefur3821 Would have been My 1st suggestion, but I thought it too pretentious. There's nothing in my backlog that Sina couldn't do. Maybe some Jazz-a-philes have a diff view.
I have a history with this song. Outside an Air Force Base near in Osan Korea in 1969 I asked a sweet girl to dance to it. Needless to say the dance was over before the song ended. I married the girl in 1972 and we lived together until 2020 when she passed away. Thanks to Sina-Drums I have the best version of this song to bring back memories.
I am sorry for your loss as well, Gregory. Stay strong. With the help of Sina's talent, you have a musical bond for eternity, so to speak. Stay safe and healthy. Greetings from Germany.
I was a senior in HS when that swept the country. With the Surf beat and San Francisco sound all summer long. Could not go to a party or even drive down the street with windows open and NOT hear that record playing. The fabric of the times...But it was a night that the Beat followed us everywhere. Magical. Sit back and let it take you...100% perfect version of the tune. Great job great Energy from your band . Learn from those players from that time. You have done it justice. Jim
I am 75 year-old and I’ve been listening to rock and roll for most of my life. I have been playing this drum solo for 50 years on pans, buckets, cabinets, anything that makes a beat. Unfortunately I don’t have drums and I don’t know how to play them but I know every single beat of that solo. SINA DOESN’T MISS ONE OF THEM!! Her rendition is simply perfect. My heart explodes of joy and envy. I have been following Sina for years and she and her friends are the most accomplished musicians at their young age. I believe that Andrei was 13 or 14 in their early videos and he was already an incredible guitarist. And all the other performers Sina has featured in her videos have been perfect as well. Congratulations, kids. And, obviously, that these congrats go to the other two musicians who also excelled.
I am 69 years old and a big fan of Iron Butterfly! I have listened to this song thousands of times! This was the best version I have ever heard!! The singer was spot on, the drummer? I can't say enough good about her!!!! Lead and bass were great and the keyboard player was excellent! Thank you for bringing me back to my teenage years if only for 17 minutes!! You guys are awesome! Thank you!!! : * )
They ere soooo awesome, all of them. Love Sina she can really rock those exact notes. I’m a Vietnam Disabled Veteran and they brought me right back to my groovin days of smoking weed and dodging bullets and land mines. Love you all for feeling my youth once again. Big love for Sina, she’s so great…. 👍👍👍👍✌
Thank you for your service. I just missed the draft. I know our Vets were mistreated when they returned. I had a friend that was a tunnel rat. He came home really messed up. God Bless Anthony.
So nice, your comment. In Vietnam? What for? They are now better off, than e.g. the Philippines, this country I know very well. You served your country being betrayed by whom? You know it.
Its almost time that someone like Sina came along and brought the songs back to life. Im 77 and missing my wife who passed this year after 52 years. We listened to this song many times. Wow Sina is good.
Zina, I realize you will never read this because of the millions that listened and recall that year in 1969. I was a flight engineer in Vietnamese on a Chinook helicopter. In Augusta that year, only a few weeks before I was to return home, my aircraft was shot down and crashed. I was ejected from the aircraft and recall nothing after that. Back then, unless the medics saw blood, you were told to “ rest up and get back to work”. I woke up on my bunk bed to this incredible piece of music and FELT THANKFUL that I was alive and survived the aftermath of flying through the air. To this day….55 years later, if I’m feeling down etc….. I turn your excellent Cover on and realize my blessings. THANK YOU, Sina and band members for creating this Emotional Medicine, which becomes most effective with volume. Dan E. PhuLoi Black Cats 213 ASHC,

Wow, I just came across this video, I am so impressed with this young girl!! Grown men can’t play my husband Ron Bushy drum solo like this young girl!! So impressed, and thank you for the pleasure of listening and watching all of you play!!
She gave me chills. Everyone else is really good, the young lady was awesome! You can tell that each of the musicians love the original song, but the young lady is nailing it to the roof! Kudos to her!
I saw (Iron Butterfly) your husband play live in Harrisburg, Pa. at the Farm Show Arena back in 1969, I think. He got a standing ovation for his drum solo!!! That young lady did a phenomenal job on the drum solo!!! Her arms must be ready to fall off! GREAT JOB!!!!
this young lady is a natural....yes she took lessons but she is just awesome. and OMG, shame on youtube for putting a commercial dead middle of the greatest drum solo of all time! youtube has become a cesspool of unwanted ads!!!
This girl Sina may only be covering all these great Rock Drummers from the past, but if you don't think she is doing a good job then you are not paying attention.....she is very good and her attention to detail is what makes her stand out.....i for one like her.....alot.....
All the male professional unemployed drummers are jealous of her success on You Tube. She brings drums to all youngster who would normally not go to see big band concerts.
I read comments from so many 'old guys' here and their memories of when this first came out...me too. I'm almost 70, but I still have the clearest memories of "IN-A-Gadda-Da-Vida" when it first came out. All I can add is WOW! Sina nails it! Rock on!! How anyone can give it a thumbs down is beyond me. Keep on rockin'! This is some fine drumming.
I'm with you....same age,,,,grew up with it.....was home sick one day from school and put on the album..(left the record holding arm up) and that means for you kids out there, that the needle kept lifting up, and replayed that same long side over and over for hours as I lay in bed. Never ever forget it.
I dunno dawg. I'm 65 now & I can't really say I have any clear memories of this coming out. That whole time period for me is a bit fuzzy around the edges, truth be told.
First off…I don’t believe there is any other piece of music from this era, that instantly recalls an event in time for the listener than this. For myself, I was in the Army, Flight Engineer on a CH 47 Chinook. It was disabled by weapons fire when delivering artillery, ammo, and gun crews. I was ejected during the crash. I woke up in a medic tent the next day….to this piece being played on a stereo. My first thoughts after I realized where I was….was” I’m still alive” two weeks later I returned to the states.
The ting ting ting on the bell of the cymbal, while the guitar player does the solo and the bassist just continues to draw the song along... that is what dreams are made of. And the keyboard that rips through everything. This is perfection if ever there was something like that in music.
That's what a true artist does... feels the music in this case. As a performer myself, when you reach that level of being able to lose the 'outside' and just BE the music, it's magical.
Best cover I've heard of the whole thing. It just keeps getting better, like the original. I remember coming back to the world in 1970 a taxi driver (think 1970 peace hippie) blasting this on his radio.
What just happened? Somebody get my jaw off the floor... My God, this young Lady is by far one of the finest drummers i have ever heard or seen. Am really just stunned Totally stunned. All my years in bands, my Lord, Sina you have completely just frozen me with skill that is amazing. Having problems putting it into words. What a band! Wow!!!! God bless you all. Holy crap If you thumbs down this tremendous demonstration of musical skill, your a pompous jealous musican.
Well said my friend of knowing raw talent displayed in one of the coolest renditions I have EVER seen! Explicit display of great musicians. All of you were fabulous and the young lady drummer, you were GREAT and complimented by your band members is beyond totally awesome!
This was a rare album where one side is played so many times that it burned through several record needles. And I think I flipped the album and listened to the other side (side A?) maybe once.
Everything was power XL with the song, and Sina was dead on, the only disappointment was the lead guitar player, everybody else was exacto to the T, but the lead guitar player Sadly was way out there somewhere else, don't know what his trip was but it was not the lead to In-A-Gadda-Da-Vida, i know this for a fact, I was stoning to this song Back at the end of 68'.
@@HerrP58 i have it framed still sealed , truly a legendary song on that album that Sina brings back to life , WoW , it,s the drumming that dominates this song ,well done !
Iam a fellow female drummer. Only a few yrs self taught. I looked on youtube for someone to watch and learn from and found you!!!! I was pumped!. we have the same style in music all classics brilliant and my favs too.. I learn by listening and watching u taught me so much. Thank you Sina! I am 61 and I have never heard anyone play a cover of this song so perfectly. Every note. Every beat. Pure perfection! This song brings back so many memories from my childhood. My dad had this on 8 track and I would jam to it every chance I got. It was some of the best of times for a child. And by far the best era for music, period! Thank you again Sina!
The 8-track was pretty slick except half-way through it had to switch to another track which always spoiled the continuity of the song for me. My wife and I bought a '69 Dodge Charger brand new in '69 and it had a 8-track player. The 8-track tape that was supposed to come with it had been stolen enroute to the dealer. The dealer said go out and get an 8-track you like and they'd reimburse us. In-a-gadda-da-vida was the tape we wanted. Listened to it for hours. Wish we still had that '69 Charger. The tape was well worn out, though.
I would like to speak to those that gave this a thumbs down and especially those that made snarky remarks. I have been in music for over 50 years and in my opinion (for what it’s worth) is that this was a very, very good cover. There is no better or best. There is only someone’s interpretation of how they feel the song. There is no age, race, color, or nationality. There is only the music, and it feeds the sole. It’s a matter of personal taste. If you like it listen, I if you don’t, don’t. That being said, talent is talent and this young lady and here friends have boat loads if it! I loved it.
These people have displayed great talent. The jealous has-been boat-missers will always blame someone else for their own shortcomings. Iron Butterfly survivors have given these folks the green light with 100% positivity as the best rendition they’ve heard. Some chump wants to thumbs down? Post YOUR talent and copy the url here. We will listen...
I've been hearing this song since 1968 and this video: FANTASTIC! Esp the drummer of course. And by the way, how many Buds does it take for "In the Garden of Eden" to become Inagaddadavida?
I am 71 yrs old and I have to say that this performance is the best I have heard since the original. The lass on the drums just nailed it to perfection which was always my best part of the song! And yes, it brings back memories from the best part of my life! Thank you!!
Geeziz! That's the best and most accurate cover of that drum solo on UA-cam. That's just simply outstanding! I don't know how she picks up on every single one of the little nuances Ron bushy used on this solo. I've never seen any professional drummer of any age cover this solo as accurately as she just did here! It's simply uncanny!
Agreed. I was a drummer in the 70s and 80s, and for a teen drummer starting out, this solo was the Holy Grail, the one you most wanted to master. It's not technically difficult, but even the slightest mistake or variation changes the entire complexion of the piece away from what it great.
I think we are seeing a musical prodigy here! Sina you are absolutely the best drummer I've experienced. Ok I won't go as far as Bonham, Peart, or White but better than many others!!
Doug Ingle was the son of a church organist, and you can hear the influence of pipe organ in the organ he plays in this song. As for Sina she is a child prodigy displaying incredible talent and knowledge of the drums and percussion.
I really try to avoid watching this too often. Because each time I break out in tears over lost times. I am 62 now. But I cannot avoid it, each time I gravitate towards it again. Thank you so much guys. And thank you Sina for putting your entire heart into music. I still follow you now, and you perfected perfectionism. I have no other words left except Thank you!
OH man I Absolutely loved this video. I totally got lost in the song and your talent Sina. Nice work with the other three that made this rendition and loved every bit of it. Great job!
For those who don't know, When this song was first recorded, the group Iron Butterfly was drinking red wine and smoking pot between takes. They did over 20 takes to get it perfect and as they kept playing they were getting more and more wasted. By the final recording the lead singer was slurring his words and it came out "In-A-Gadda-Da-Vida" but real words were " In the Garden of Eden" baby. - They ended up keeping the final track and changing the title of the song. (lol) That's a true story.
I hadn't heard that story before and I go back to when this was a new song :-) It reminds me of a Simpsons episode where the Simpsons are in church and the Reverend Lovejoy turns to the organist to play a hymn. She plays the organ part of "In the Garden of Eden" - with a flash forward to skip most of the solos - and then ends the song 17 minutes later, exhausted. Meanwhile, the church lights are mostly out and the entire congregation has raised lighters just as we used to do back in the day....
Als diese Stücke noch auf Feten und Partys über Stunden abgespielt wurden war die Welt in Deutschland noch in Ordnung, schön so wieder daran erinnert zu werden. Bin 65, lebe in Castrop-Rauxel. Danke
I heard this song for the first time in 1968 (I was 12) and this is perfect. The drum solo itself would wear out the average drummer, but not only did she nail it she was fearless. What a great talent. Bravo!
This is my go to number when I just want to trans out. I grew up with Iron Butterfly. All the underground bands. This number ... For me is one of the best. This version is modern and easier to watch than the original. This video is excellent on all points. Editing .... Top notch. I've probably watched this over 100 times periodically. Just love it ! How Sina manages to keep the tempo and beat for so long..... Flawless, consistent just elevates her to being a true professional.
Unbelievable! I was 16 when that song was released. Listened to it for hours. This you g lady not only perfected the drum solo, but she added now life to an old hippie song. Thank you, Sina, as well as your supporting musicians!
There was 17 minutes of my life well spent! Had to dig up my original album I bought way back in ‘68/‘69 (?) to play for first time in decades. Classics never age and now I’ll see Sina and group as a visual backdrop. Thanks for the trip back.
I was just a kid when Iron Butterfly was rocking the charts with this musical epic; later on I heard the complete album cut with Ron Bushy on the drums. Didn’t think anybody else could nail it, until Sina came along and watered the eyes of Nancy Bushy, Ron’s wife. That’s how phenomenal Sina has become. The future is looking bright for her. That’s a fact.
I HAVE LISTENED TO THIS SONG I DON'T KNOW HOW MANY TIMES SINCE IT FIRST CAME OUT. AND I'VE TRIED TO LISTEN AND GAVE UP ON COVERS OF THE SONG...NOBODY HAS EVER CAPTURED IT'S TRUE ESSENCE. AND I LITERALLY PASSED THIS UP WHEN I SAW IT...THEN I CAME BACK...AND I AM GLAD I DID!!! YOU GUYS HAVE ABSOLUTELY CAPTURED THE LIVING SOUL OF THIS PIECE...THIS IS AN ANTHEM FROM MY GENERATION...AND YOU GUYS PLAYED IT...HONESTLY...AND SOULFULLY. YOU TOTALLY NAILED IT GUYS...TOTALLY...BRAVO...BRAVO...BRAVO!!! (standing ovation!) AND...HANG ON TO THAT DRUMMER GUYS...SHE...OWNED IN-A-GADDA-DA-VIDA!!!
I've been watching and listening to Sina since she first appeared on UA-cam. She plays with the abilities of a musician much older with many more years experience than herself. To be perfectly honest she's the only performer out of a handful that I follow. As she grows in age her growth as a talented musician is inspiring. In today's world it's refreshing watching Sina grow up in many different positive ways. She's a roll model for young people all around the world. Her talent and passion that's in every piece of music she plays is something you don't want to miss.
@J. S. Bach You must not understand. I usually sit through ads for financial support of the creator. Adblocker only returns less than 3/10 of a percent to the creator/author. An extremely tiny percentage of the ad revenue that's normally made. It's just not fair!
No, the organ and guitar solos after the second chorus are completely different. The guitar solo is quite a bit shorter than Brann's. Also, they don't go back to the main riff groove for as long between solos as on this rendition.
It's great to see that there are young folks out there who not only appreciate works of art like this masterpiece, but also devote countless hours and days to practice every note and then play it together in perfect unison like they did here. Thank you for the memories, as others have noted. Great performance and camera work. Bravo.
I was a big fan of Iron Butterfly as a teenager and had the drum solo memorized in my head. She is incredible, I never heard anyone duplicate it so closely with her own parts added to it. Excellent !!
I first heard this song in August 1968 just after it was released when a school friend of mine came bursting into our classroom with a cassette copy he'd made from his LP, begging us all to listen. I couldn't stop listening to it - I know the drum solo by heart after 54 years and this is one of the best re-interpretations of it I have ever heard !
To the following musicians of great talent: Rick - I had no doubt you would pull off a great rendition of this classic. Wonderful! Thank you for lending your talents to these young musicians, helping them make their mark in the music world. Andrei - Ya!!!!! Beautiful job with the guitar!! I hope you enjoyed delving into the world of psychedelic heavy metal. This song was credited with ushering in the heavy metal genre. Rock on!!! Christian - Welcome to the Sina revolution of classic rock revival! Awesome job on the vocals and the bass. I played bass as well in my youth, and you absolutely had this! Sina - I'm running out of adjectives, superlatives, and accolades for what you do. Your gift, your talent, your dedication, are beyond commendable. And if your arms weren't feeling like rubber after this piece, then you my dear are a true Wonder Woman! Mike - Yes, you. I don't think people have any idea of what you go through to put something like this together, making this look to seamless and clean. Bravo!! It is so heartwarming and just plain cool of you to put the effort into helping these different artists. You deserve the You Tube video producer of the year for your work. Many fathers would just plug their ears if their son/daughter played the drums. Father of the year? Why not! Over all, this was probably the best rendition of this song I have ever heard. And at 65, and as a teenager when this song came out, I've heard plenty of attempts. I am proud to be a patreon, and wish I could give even more. I bought the original album (vinyl, ask your dad about those), and wore it out. Then the 8 track tape, which eventually snapped from over use. Now I have it again, in an updated, upgraded, up in the clouds version! And from what I know, this will last longer than either the album or the 8 track. =D Thank you all for this!!!
You bring three brilliant artists in their own right, compliment them with Sina at the drums and what you get is one helluva band. I would pay top dollar to see these four musical geniuses do a concert. Andrei just slays everything he plays, Rick's keyboard interpretations are always spot on and Christian playing those bass lines to perfection.....then there is Sina. She is the best young drummer I have ever seen. Nothing but greatness in her future, for sure. What we have witnessed here is perfection!
This song moves more than another for the time. I was in Vietnam in 69-70 and was extremely fortunate to met my wife in Hawaii. This epitomizes the war as wasting life for no reason. No one forgets the passed soliders that was there which was a total waste of life.
I am 68, and you took me back to when I would play this when I had time to kick back and just listen. Very well done! I had not listened to this in at least 40 years, and you took me back in time. The drums and keyboards are quite enjoyable. I need to send this to friends I have known for sixty years - that is high praise, for I rarely pass on music, and never pass on "current" crap. Thank you for this video time machine. Texas Lady Juanita
I too am 68 and just love this young lady who is such a fabulous drummer! I used to play this on my tambourine when you and I were just sixteen!!! So COOL!! Never gets old....just like US!! Take care, Texas Lady Juanita!!!
Today is Sept 22, 2020. I’ve been a long time follower of Sina going back to 2000 subs. That said of all of the incredible covers she and her family n friends have done, this recording is my, ‘go to’ as it were. I’m a Vietnam Veteran and flew Chinooks as a flight engineer from 1967-1968. Two weeks before I was to rotate back to the state’s my aircraft was shot up really bad upon landing with a double sling load. I was blown out the back of the aircraft by overpresdure of an ordanance hitting the aircraft. From that point on I don’t remember very much. I woke up laying on my bunk twenty hours later to this incredible piece of music. My room mate had two tall pioneer speakers and the music was full on. I recall hearing the cacophony of different instruments and tempos that had a powerful influence on my awakening and realizing I my foggy mind... THAT I WAS STILL ALIVE. To this very day if could ever state that a piece of music saved or changed my life this one is it. Creators of masterpieces of art seldom realize the depth of emotions they create in the art. For me Iron Butterfly is the creator of the original. However Sina and friends, with their incredible production and musical talents have put a beautiful finish to this long dusty piece of art. THANK YOU Sina.
❤lichen Dank Euch 🎸🥁🎹
I am an old guy and remember when I bought my first vinyl version of this song by Iron Butterfly and have had to buy replacements due to wearing them out. I really like this cover and especially Sina's interpretation of the percussion line. She did a great job and I'm looking to seeing her as she moves forward to a promising career.
A while ago I had written asking if you would do this song, simply because I wanted to hear and see Sina do the drum solo. What I saw/heard is unbelievable, it took me back through the fields of time when one ate the music, saw the music, felt the music caress their very soul. Sina you and your mates allowed this old man to trip the light fantastic and experience a very enjoyable flashback. Sina you are the Queen! Long Play the Queen!
Sina, you are doing the world a great service by bringing these magnificent songs from the past into the spotlight once again. The songs that you select to cover have a wonderful range and they all bring a smile to my face. Keep up the work. YOU ROCK!

Learned this by heart, drumming with my fingers on my little tambourine when I was 16. And a girl. And I still know it by heart. This is a joy to watch to hear to feel again....thank you Sina and friends....you're all just fabulous!!!!! Makes me want to cry.

OH MAN ! Just found this video ...Apr 23,1970 Farm Show Arena ,Harrisburg Pa, Iron Butterfly /The Hydraulic Peach Buds & I were there ...... This song was played & Um pretty sure they played longer than 17 minutes ? ( being stoned at concerts was legal back then lmao ) 🤗 .... You've brought back some great memories, WELL PLAYED & Thanks to you ALL 🙏
As with most people that have seen this video I am blown away by it. This is by far the absolute best rendition I have ever heard in my 67 years. My hat comes off and my heart goes to the 4 of you for putting a big ol smile on my face. Thank you!!!!
Thats funny im 67 feel the same way and more. Each one drummer ,getar ,organ , singer , extra GETAR....anyway cool fuckln utube find something great all the time also plows me away
I feel like trying to go out and find my damn Sllingerland drums again and buy em back, with some Geritol and maybe 4 beers. I don't care what the doc says, this is good for my heart. Of course, if I could find my 1965 Mustang, the drums were in it....came as a package sale, to buy college books. Now, what did I learn? Damn.
Sina, I posted my comments about this fantastic performance on Andrei's patreon page. I am pasting a copy of it below. I had been telling my son, if there was anyone who could do In-A-Gadda-Da-Vida and not miss a single beat of Ron Bushy, it would be YOU! Everybody that knows this song and I mean knows it would know if you missed a beat! You didn't! My son is always telling me, "Dad, your generation has the greatest music in the world!" He is right! And, it is still ALIVE in you four in this performance! What makes a group great is the fact that each individual has their own distinct, perfect sound that stands out while playing. Coming together to produce an awesome performance. Even, when all four, such as Iron Butterfly, are playing at once, they still each have their own individual distinct sound that stands out, making the song! The listener has to decide which one he or she is going to focus on during the time they are listening! I suggest, just to listen to it all as it comes together! Sina, you FOUR accepted the huge challenge and surpassed it! There aren't many people who can say they have done what you FOUR have done! Actually, none that I know of! So, from an older(HA!) Rock and Roll listener! THANKS Sina for getting the group put together to produce the BEST ever! (Copy of posting on Andrei's Page) Andrei, Erik Brann would be proud of you! He was a concert violinist at age 6. He recorded In-A-Gadda-Da -Vida(In The Garden Of Eden-original name of song written by Doug Ingle) at age 17! I was finally able to see Iron Butterfly perform at the New Orleans Festival in 1968. I saw them again in 1970 in New Orleans with Pinera and Rhino playing lead guitars since Erik had left the group. They were good but not the true Iron Butterfly. It took Pinera and Rhino playing back and forth to attempt to capture Erik's original lead on this song. You got it! For Sina, Christian, Rick and you to re-produce this song with the quality you four did was outstanding! Christian nailed Lee Dorman! Rick, starting, out sounded more like the keyboard player from Deep Purple! But, then the Doug Ingle bug bit him and the keyboard came alive as only Doug Ingle could play it!. Sina, without a doubt, has shown me that she is one the greatest drummers to ever play! Ron Bushy is, also, one of the best ever and she played it perfectly! Very few drummers can play Bushy's solo well! BTW, Ron Bushy's solo at the New Orleans Festival lasted for over 30 minutes! He was showing the drummer for Canned Heat how it was done! Man, did he ever! Kudos to Sina! I hope Ron Bushy gets to see this awesome performance. You guys accepted a huge challenge and DID IT! This production will live on forever just like the original In-A-Gadda-Da-Vida by Iron Butterfly. BTW, the original will be 50 years old in 2018! Thanks! Loved it!
Thanks a lot Danny for your lovely words, also a big thanks for supporting Andrei. He works so hard and he deserves some attention of the world outside!
Holy smokes! Sina, you are so good! I just can't get enough of your playing. You should be in a rock band! You are literally better than most drummers twice or 3 times your age!
Pulled out an old Iron Butterfly cd from under my truck seat, played only IGD and wanted to know if SINA attempted it. I was THRILLED that Sina took this on, love to watch and listen to her collaborations. AWESOMELY DONE SINA! Thank-you Christian, Andrei and Rick for putting your talent and energy into this (it must be exhausting) jam!
Well, can't say I regret watching this, cuz it was incredible!! At 67, if I had a dollar for every time I listened to this song over the years I'd certainly be a millionaire. Well done!!!!
Im 60 years old and have been in love with this song since its release. This girl blows it right out of the water she is so good. Its not an easy one to play mostly due to the length of the song but she nailed it. As for the rest of the players ... kudos to you all ... quuite fabulous thx
Sina, awesome! I'm 72 years old, disabled Vietnam Veteran. I just wanted to share that I saw Iron Butterfly at their concert back on November of 1969, in what was called Honolulu International Center (HIC), now known as Neil Blaisdell Center. Your drum playing of this drum classic is so right on! By the way, many people wonder where and how this title came about. I read on some online trivia many years ago. I don't know how true it is. But the guys were listening to this that Doug Ingle wrote. They asked him what the name of the song was. They were all so high that Doug Ingle mumbled and what he was trying to say was "In the Garden of Eden". It came out mumbled sounding like he said "In a gadda da vida". And the band member said "Oh that sounds cool!". By the way Doug Ingle passed away just this past May 24, 2024 a age 78. Rest in peace Doug Ingle. You are now in the Garden of Eden! See you on the other side. Peace.
Saw Iron Butterfly way back when. Loved their music. Sina brings back so many memories and she does the solo effortlessly Remember the drummer used to have a reputation for getting carried away and he did in the concert we saw. Went on for about 15 minutes. The rest of the band left the stage while he was drumming and only came back a few times to wipe the sweat of him. Best concert ever.
Wow, what a great drum-solo. Since I was 17, it's been a very long time, this solo has accompanied my life and, especially on my birthday, I listen to the song again and again. A fantastic cover of a fantastic song.
I have been watching and listening to Sina for the past year or two now. I continue to be impressed with her range of genre that she plays, and how perfect she plays the drums. This Iron Butterfly song is a great classic and she nailed it. The stamina in being able to play consistently for that loooong is amazing. I was trying to follow along with my fabulous air guitar lol... and couldn't keep up! Great job Sina!
Sina, DU BIST HAMMER !!!
I was around when the original came out. It totally blew me away and has always been one of my all-time favorites. I clicked on this with some trepidation, not wanting to listen to a butchered version. My fears were totally unfounded. As good as the original? No, but then there can only be one original. But this is a faithful reproduction with some excellent work done by all concerned. Sina's work on the drums is e-x-c-e-p-t-i-o-n-a-l. She has quite obviously poured herself into this reproduction of what is, in my opinion, arguably the finest drum solo in all of rock and roll. Kudos to her and her fellow musicians in this well-produced, excellently performed piece. Thanks so much. It was a joy to watch and listen.
@BLUE DOG The only thing I was ever into was weed. I did listen to tons of great music while stoned and it was fantastic, but never tried anything stronger.
The Ron Bushy drum solo of In-A-Gadda-Da-Vida has always been my favorite drum solo! The only replays I've seen of it is a little too psychedelic for my liking so I am really grateful to find yours! The choice of overhead cameras for different views added so much to the understanding of what is going on with the percussion! You have assembled a great group that holds true to the rendition that is quite accurate as I remember it. I have listened to it on reel-to-reel tapes for best fidelity in the '60s, to digital CDs today. I can never appreciate the music as well as when I can see it being produced! Thank you just doesn't seem like enough!
Es increíble como una niñita toque de esa manera y más aún una canción tan vieja (1966) pero tan representativa de la época. Hace hablar a la "bataca". Mis mas sinceras FELICITACIONES. CONGRTTS.
Gets better and better every time I watch it! So well executed all around - from each player's contribution , right down to the editing. Kudos to ALL and many thanks!
Well here we go. I've been professionally performing, writing and arranging music for 50+ years.(Drums, Bass, Guitar and Keyboards). This song was a headliner for my very first band - Whitestone Sunrise - and I played drums. Anyone with the arrogance to watch and listen to this cover and pick at might very well be musically challenged - let's leave it at that. TOTALLY Impressed! Each one of you did your homework and special commendations to the drummer. I know and have played every beat of this classic and may I say, I aspire to your chops. Fantastic Job!
Beyond Amazing. I was 19 years old in college, and drumming to pay my tuition, when this came out. Very well done. Sina, you have a "photographic" memory. Your ability to concentrate is phenomenal. Everyone on this cover did a fantastic job!
There's something in all music. And it isn't the notes. It's the style. The transfer of personality and emotion into the notes, making it into something special. They really did this. I loved it. 40+ years as a piano player/ teacher and that's exactly what I look for. Great job guys!
WOW I'm old enough to have bought the original Iron Butterfly album (which I still have). Where are the thumbs down coming from??! I suggest they watch rap videos instead.
Bob Schulz, I also spent many hours listening to the original when it came out. Listening to this brought many good memories. This is very good indeed.
It's amazing how that entire song is written around the drums, with a few lyrics thrown in. I never appreciated that until now, with all those camera angles on Sina. We really did need all those cameras to understand how many things she was doing at once.

One of the most well known and iconic drum solos ever recorded, played perfectly, beat for beat, stroke for stroke. Well done Sina!!!

Agreed. I was a drummer in the 70s and 80s, and for a teen drummer starting out, this solo was the Holy Grail, the one you most wanted to master. It's not technically difficult, but even the slightest mistake or variation changes the entire complexion of the piece away from what it great.

Danke

I just compared this cover with the original from 1968 Iron Butterfly and it is exactly the same, this is a masterpiece, I love it
So true. The sound in some ways is better.
Yes
No, the organ and guitar solos after the second chorus are completely different. The guitar solo is quite a bit shorter than Brann's. Also, they don't go back to the main riff groove for as long between solos as on this rendition.
It's great to see that there are young folks out there who not only appreciate works of art like this masterpiece, but also devote countless hours and days to practice every note and then play it together in perfect unison like they did here. Thank you for the memories, as others have noted. Great performance and camera work. Bravo.

Well said Rodney! Yes indeed, Mike Wilbury for youtube producer of the year! :)
That's two votes!! He's on the way! =)
I agree with Rodney and Steve! Make that 3 votes! Amen!
Four!
Five!
A magic Version of this Song And Brings back Memories. !!!!!!
Chris Tredwell Birmingham UK Aged 76 & 10 Months
Texas lady juanita~ This is definitely not Iron butterfly. Always loved this song.. 💃
I’ll be 60 Tomorrow, This has the WOW Factor,What stanima Sina has.Love it.🎸🎼🎶🎤❤️
Also 66 and agree ….great version
Check out Emily Also,Amazing Entertaining 👌🎼🎸💕🌹
That's a really cool story. And now a young girl from Germany brings us all to the same musical place.
Thank you for sharing and thank you for your service! !
@@prinz10ga 1969 also!
This young man on electric is amazing
Sina is just perfection
Love them all
For those of us of a certain age, one of the most recognizable drum solos in rock history. Superbly rendered! Brava!
❤lichen Dank Euch 🎸🥁🎹
one rocking drummer queen. and three excellent musicians to help along the way. brings back a lot of memories. ❤
Luv it
Keep playing. I have a 13 year old granddaughter who plays drums and showing her what practice and determination will get you.
Mojo, very well said! Ditto!
W,😎 W wonderful response ‼️♥️♦️♥️♦️
Sina, you are doing the world a great service by bringing these magnificent songs from the past into the spotlight once again. The songs that you select to cover have a wonderful range and they all bring a smile to my face. Keep up the work. YOU ROCK!
she is for that best. let us not forget Jaydn, and the rest of that great circle for what we can enjoy.hold together, we need all your doing.
Too bad it has to be on UA-cam...😡
I agree, it is like she has my fave playlist of the best songs of all time.I Salute her.
Hallo Sina,

Das man da sehen kannwie Musik wirklich von Hand gemacht wird einfach genial.
Ich habe das Video wohl schon 1000 Mal geshen einfach geil.
Liebe Grüßan alle Protagonisten aber speziell an dich Sina
I never thought that someone actually could do a cover of this song without ruining the piece. Sina, you and your friends definitely proved me wrong.
Die Leute die den Daumen nach unten zeigen haben keine Ahnung 🤮

Learned this by heart, drumming with my fingers on my little tambourine when I was 16. And a girl. And I still know it by heart. This is a joy to watch to hear to feel again....thank you Sina and friends....you're all just fabulous!!!!! Makes me want to cry.
wow, wonderful ...i am happy for your happiness...gelu batir, romania
@@gelubatir9794 I'm sorry I missed seeing your comment till now...I didn't know to check my notifications then! Thanks for your lovely thoughts, gelu batir in romania!!!! My best to you!!
Drum solo nailed. But, the stamina to keep the drum progression going from 13:00 to 15:25 is amazing.
Yes, she is all that and more. Could you imagine trying to keep up with her in bed?
This is the only rendition I have ever heard
I feel like trying to go out and find my damn Sllingerland drums again and buy em back, with some Geritol and maybe 4 beers. I don't care what the doc says, this is good for my heart. Of course, if I could find my 1965 Mustang, the drums were in it....came as a package sale, to buy college books. Now, what did I learn? Damn.
Absolutly FANTASTIC Seconds only to the black and White original Virgin by IB!!!
I'm only 66. But this is still 🔥.
I love the drum solo, especially the section with the subtle high hat and then the great organ accompaniment
This is the drummer's tune. He or She plays throughout the entire tune18 minutes, Awesome if want a drum solo, this is my tune.
(Copy of posting on Andrei's Page)
Andrei, Erik Brann would be proud of you!
Well she may have missed one beat when she had to fix the snare at 15:18 but I couldn't tell.
Peace.
Sina is a professional. She put her 10,000 hours of practice and maintains her professionalism. Simply amazing. Well done 👍👍👍
I love her!!!
10.000 rule works only if you do it within 10 years.
Sina is a prodigy.
Yes she truly is.
Best concert ever.
,🇺🇸💔🇺🇸‼️
Wow, what a great drum-solo. Since I was 17, it's been a very long time, this solo has accompanied my life and, especially on my birthday, I listen to the song again and again. A fantastic cover of a fantastic song.
I was in a rock band in the 70's this was one of my solos, outstanding job sina. You guys Rock.
They all are fantastic, but Sina and her drum solo really rocks the house!
Luv it Sina
I have been watching and listening to Sina for the past year or two now. I continue to be impressed with her range of genre that she plays, and how perfect she plays the drums. This Iron Butterfly song is a great classic and she nailed it. The stamina in being able to play consistently for that loooong is amazing. I was trying to follow along with my fabulous air guitar lol... and couldn't keep up! Great job Sina!
She is really fantastic.....check out some of her really early classic rock covers - she's GREAT!
One of the greatest drum solos in rock history, and she nails it!! Ron Bushy would be proud!!
unbelievable - she has done her homework and totally nailed it!
A mighty big chunk of cheese and she gobbles it right up, excellent.
I know what is she 15 not much older ..you bad ass little girl
So would be modern day Noh Bushy
I like what sina play supuperior i a former drummer i play that in agadavida by ironbuterfly in the year of 1969 in vietnam war.
They covered this cover and totally nailed it. Everybody was tight on point and in a groove. Impressive.
The percussionist looks as though that she has been taught by professionals
Es increíble como una niñita toque de esa manera y más aún una canción tan vieja (1966) pero tan representativa de la época. Hace hablar a la "bataca". Mis mas sinceras FELICITACIONES.
CONGRTTS.
Sina is Fascinating...I would Put My Life for Such a Spectacular Young Women...❣💘
@@enioleyva9217 la canción es de 1968
Touche'.
Beyond Amazing. I was 19 years old in college, and drumming to pay my tuition, when this came out. Very well done. Sina, you have a "photographic" memory. Your ability to concentrate is phenomenal. Everyone on this cover did a fantastic job!
Ah, for a moment you made me forget I am 70 yo, paralyzed, and in a medical facility. Thank you for giving me the opportunity to be 15 yo again.
You are not alone.
Tatsächlich right. I am 70 bit I remeber....
69 here
Thank you, Patrick for your helpfully words. Best music of all Times. I am 70 yo too and learned to know Dr Parkinson last year. All the Best for you.
Every day you will find at least one joy if you keep looking. This is one.
There's something in all music. And it isn't the notes. It's the style. The transfer of personality and emotion into the notes, making it into something special. They really did this. I loved it. 40+ years as a piano player/ teacher and that's exactly what I look for. Great job guys!
WOW
I'm old enough to have bought the original Iron Butterfly album (which I still have). Where are the thumbs down coming from??!
I suggest they watch rap videos instead.
Dead right u r!
Some youngins cant sit for 17:07 and just absorb. Not their fault.
Let's be REAL here.... a 4% dislike rate?.... Hell, that's less than the percentage of heroin/opiate/meth/cocaine addicts in society! LOL
I a gadda da vida was the first LP I bought. I still have it, in my collection of around 600 LPs.
Too bad all the other instruments are so loud you don't really get to hear the drums until the solo. Not exactly like the original cut
Not sure but I been with this song for years have you had your hearing checked out lately?
