The most nuanced and carefully calibrated cover of the great Mr. Paice's work yet! 👏 I particularly like the restrained but accurate and intricate play on the cymbals and the accent on the kick drum. It really highlights how much that back beat is essential to keeping everything together, notwithstanding the changing tempos.

Rock music is in good hands, as long as we are lucky enough to have young performers such as the brilliant, dedicated and talented Sia carrying on the legacy of the original and best music. Ian Paice is not an easy drummer to cover, he had a unique style, and finesse, even in the "heavier" parts. And Sia did this with confidence and aplomb. Well done, young lady.

Being an avid fan of Deep Purple and this song in particular, I never thought it was possible that anyone could improve on the original. Well, Sina's Cover of Child in Time is one of those rare exceptions. Such a phenomenal performance by all. So lovely to hear what Sina hears in this version here. For me, her Collaboration since its release in 2019 still remains the gold standard for Any Cover that one will find on UA-cam today. Thank you Sina & Mike for your professionalism in recreating this masterpiece.

The 1st rock LP I bought when I lived in England in 1969 discovering a new form of music. And at 75 I still enjoy it as if it was the 1st time. A real masterpiece with a fantastic Blackmore guitar solo. You do a really good job there young girl. Has Ian Paice listened to it ? So happy the young generation likes and plays this music !

I was in grade school when I started listening to Genesis, Yes and The Beatles back in the later 1960s to the early 1970s. I still listen to this genre of music. Phil Collins is my favorite drummer. At last one of the greatest songs of the 70's. I had chills on bodyparts, where I didn't even know I had body. The "Bohemian Rhapsody" before Bohemian Rhapsody existed. ;-) Greatly performed, just like always. Good choice, Sina. Love that cymbal-work in the beginning.

I was in grade school when I started listening to Genesis, Yes and The Beatles back in the later 1960s to the early 1970s. I still listen to this genre of music. Phil Collins is my favorite drummer. Was really fascinated by all the intricate change-ups throughout the song. Well done, Sina! Wikipedia states the song was loosely based on the cold war as it was perceived in the early 70's, probably even more appropriate now. Continued hopes and prayers for all of Europe in these trying times...

Liebe Sina, irgendwo habe ich aufgrund Deines Nachnamens erfahren, daß ich auch auf Deutsch mit Dir kommunizieren kann. (Mein vorheriger Beitrag auf Englisch hatte leider nicht geklappt). Jetzt aber will ich ihn nicht mehr in Englisch wiederholen. Ich bin 71 Jahre alt. "Hey Joe" und "Child of Time" habe ich in Deinem Alter oft gehört - und meinen Englischlehrer habe ich einmal gefragt, was eigentlich Ricochet" bedeutet. Viel später habe ich erst begriffen, daß daß es sich bei "Child of Time" um einen Protest gegen den brutalen, amerikanischen Angriffskrieg gegen Vietnam gehandelt hat.
Ich bin selber Musiker. Deine Interpretationen sind wunderbar. Sie rühren mich zu Tränen der Erkenntnis und des Bedauerns. Du bist wunderbar!
