you have no idea how much comfort this brings me. Dealing with extreme hungry is a very big struggle for me and it’s been really hard trying not to fight/ignore it these past few days. Those intrusive thoughts just keep flooding back begging me to restrict but i don’t want to give up. I want a better life for myself, genuinely. And your channel has helped tremendously on my worst days. Thank you :) ❤

This was actually from a few weeks ago 😂
My extreme hunger has definitely died down but this day is just an example of how it’s ok to eat more than your family/friends (honestly mine are chill with their 3 meals and maybe a snack or two but everyone’s needs are different!)

    • @moavdi756

Absolutely! Some people have diabetes and need to eat every 3 hours.. more meals. I’ve always thought early breakfast, mid morning snack, lunch, afternoon snack (or in your world “Tea Time”), dinner, then an evening snack if needed (small piece of fruit, popcorn, cheese & crackers, hot chocolate, or my fav ice cream 🍨). Our bodies are finely tuned machines, it tells us “feed me” or “give me water” or “I need to rest/sleep”. If we can blockout all the negative thoughts/criticisms and only focus 🧘🏻‍♀️ on our mental health and bodily needs, then EDs would be gone, and we would all be happy eating pizza 🍕 and laughing 😁 together!❤ (My wish for every person who has suffered ED, underweight/overweight it’s all the same… let’s just take a deep breath… listen, and eat.)

I've been recovering for a little over a year and a half. I still wouldn't label myself as recovered. It's a process, and definitely doesn't go away overnight after one goor day with food. The main thing is to keep trying even if you have the occasional bad day and didn't eat as much as you should have. I still have days that are harder than others with food but I will continue to focus on staying healthy and not losing weight.

what most people need to understand is... restrictive eds are no joke. she's eating this much to recovery because, first and foremost, recovery is about healing your relationship with ALL food, healthy or not. learning that no one food will wreck your health forever is very important. secondly, eating this much in recovery is not only normal, but necessary to gain weight after potentially being dangerously underweight. anorexia has a frighteningly high mortality rate if untreated, and regaining that weight is necessary. additionally, it's only natural for someone suffering with malnutrition to want to eat a lot of calorie-dense foods after a long period of restriction- it's a survival response, and if recovery is done right, it shouldn't be permanent. you're doing great, don't listen to anyone telling you you shouldn't be eating all this!! your nutritional needs are different from other people right now, what's important is that you go back to being mentally healthy!!

when I was experiencing extreme hunger in my bulimia recovery I could eat a whole ass cake in one sitting and still be hungry🥲 I’d wake up in the middle of the night and half-asleep run to the kitchen and eat every sweet thing I could find. I felt horrible with it but I decided to trust the process and here I am. fully recovered ❤ fingers crossed for everyone that has to go through it, you are so brave. you are strong enough. you got this.

This is so accurate, just my meals while I was in my recovery process and extremely hungry weren't that "fancy" I could literally eat plain pasta all day, bread or any sugary thing, yeah it wasn't that healthy and I gained lots of weight but at the end my body naturally flucted to his natural and healthy (both physical and mentally) weight, I'm not extremely hungry all the time, I listen my body and his cravings and I feel pretty confident tough, my life and relationship with food ain't perfect but recovery it's worth it

Dang...I've been counting calories and have been developing alot of ED tendencies (even though my weight hasn't changed, which honestly makes it worse) and this just made me reevaluate so much- I'm 213lbs at 15 years old...I wouldn't have a problem with it if my doctor didn't insult my appearance and make me out as a failure to my face....

oh my gosh so i’m sorry. regardless of your weight, as im sure you’ve heard, you aren’t a failure, you’re 15! i certainly know how easy it is to spiral into restrictions and being caught up on calorie counts, but you gotta keep remembering how fucking hard and dangerous eating disorders are. the mortality rates are scarily high if left untreated. you DO still deserve food, no matter what you weigh or what you ate earlier 💜

*YALL NEED TO REMEMBER* No food is bad :) you eat what you need, when you need and with an Ed you’re restoring what “hunger” means. You can eat everything in moderation🎉 don’t compare what you eat to what others eat! Everyone needs different amounts and that’s okay! Cause everyone’s body is different ❤

This is seriously impressive for someone struggling with an ED. There's many different kinds of food in decent portion sizes. Everyone who chooses to work on their eating habits can be proud of themselves. It can be really hard, because your body keeps telling you one thing even tho you know it's not right. You have to develop healthy habits, so you can learn to love food without it becoming a danger to you.
