Theres only one thing wrong with that knot....... he did it ass about face when you use the mono through the braid loop it breaks. It should be the braid through the mono loop. do the wrapping with your braid not your mono.
Yup, just a regular spider hitch to albright, been used forever for connecting mainlines to leaders using a double line made from a bimini or spiderhitch.
Say goodbye to your GTs with this one. It won't work on those bad boys. I used to try this on the end of a Bimini Twist. Its ok for small fish but won't handle the biggies. Stick to the GT knot for casting and the PR Knot for jigging. 100s of Odyssey fisherman will say so too!

This is a Spider Hitch to double the braid, then a reverse Albright Knot for the connectiion.

Cool knot. But why such a huge loop in the braid? so it passes easier?
Love the ease of this knot. Just make sure to check it after every fish, not as strong, *IMO*, as the double uni.

thats the Andy knot! sorry it does have a name but I dont know it..just know that it was easy to tie from a kayak and a solid knot.

Yeah I don't see any reason for the spider hitch but the last half is a modified Albright knot
