If it was about the money then Joaquin wouldn't have turned down Dr Strange in MCU, any actor would jump to work in MCU but this is the 1st sequel in Joaquin's +40 years of career so he's clearly doing out of dedication to give his all for the character in the sequel, rather than just money.

The original Joker was terrible. Everyone praised his performance? Insane/Crazy is literally the easiest acting to play! The storyline was slow and uneventful. The relationship with the girl seemed so weird, I couldn’t wait for the twist… the twist was… she’s not real! The TV series Lost did that and everyone was real mad! De Niro finally in a comic book movie… and he plays the most one dimensional caricature that literally anyone could have played. Best bit is when he stabs his bullies… let me ask you something. The weird guy from work doesn’t come in one day, what you doing? Definitely NOT going over to his house for the first time ever! James Gunn does understand them, and DC should have snapped him up right after he made the superhero satire 'The Specials. Batman Begins was pedestrian and The Dark Knight Rises hardly had any Batman in it at all, so The Dark Knight was the much better film of the three. The real Batman would have found a way to save both Harvey Dent and Rachel Dawes, but if he had to choose, he would have saved the civilian, not a lawyer who knew the risks he was taking. 'The Batman' movie with Robert Pattinson is the closest so far to The Batman's canonical persona as long established in the comics. But the best superhero film is the much maligned 'Daredevil', but only if you watch the Director's Cut (not the Special Edition.) With the extra twenty minutes restored, it's a much tighter and better film.

Back in 2019 i went to see this cinema alone in a theater. I looked around and saw many people having a good time. I felt alone. And somehow related what Arther Fleck felt like in this harsh lonely world. When the scene came up where he realized that he was all alone the whole time, talking to himself. Imagining the person which he created in his mind just to cope in that situation. Without realizing few tear fell from my eyes. Fast forward to 2024, i met a girl. Fell deeply in love with her. But it didn't work out. My plan was to watch this second part with her. But it seems i will not be able fulfill my wish. So i would go alone again. I just hope in the end Arther finds some happiness. Even though i know he is the villain. Sometimes we become the villain in someone's world, even if we want to or not. That's how it is. I just sat there by myself till the very end.
I wasn't sure about the musical aspect, but now i'm sold. Using music in contrast to their mundane reality to express their shared madness seems really interesting to me.
Speculation is that it will be a musical. I think it will just use music in a couple of very strategic instances to highlight that the Joke finds violence as joyous as music.
It reminds me of how the show LEGION portrayed the characters' madness throughout the seasons. Always so creative with dance numbers and wrestling matches. Highly recommend ! It's one of the best Marvel shows (only loses to Daredevil I'd say)

When I watched Joker alone in the theatre, I was alone and lonely. Now I will watch this with my wife. It feels great not to be alone anymore.
The original Joker was terrible. Everyone praised his performance? Insane/Crazy is literally the easiest acting to play! The storyline was slow and uneventful. The relationship with the girl seemed so weird, I couldn’t wait for the twist… the twist was… she’s not real! The TV series Lost did that and everyone was real mad! De Niro finally in a comic book movie… and he plays the most one dimensional caricature that literally anyone could have played. Best bit is when he stabs his bullies… let me ask you something. The weird guy from work doesn’t come in one day, what you doing? Definitely NOT going over to his house for the first time ever! And SOMEHOW they’ve added the worst actress in the world and a musical theme I guess cz it’s Gaga and it “fits”? I’m angry already at how people will be so off AGAIN!

James Gunn does understand them, and DC should have snapped him up right after he made the superhero satire 'The Specials.
Batman Begins was pedestrian and The Dark Knight Rises hardly had any Batman in it at all, so The Dark Knight was the much better film of the three. The real Batman would have found a way to save both Harvey Dent and Rachel Dawes, but if he had to choose, he would have saved the civilian, not a lawyer who knew the risks he was taking.
'The Batman' movie with Robert Pattinson is the closest so far to The Batman's canonical persona as long established in the comics.
But the best superhero film is the much maligned 'Daredevil', but only if you watch the Director's Cut (not the Special Edition.) With the extra twenty minutes restored, it's a much tighter and better film.

Back in 2019 i went to see this cinema alone in a theater. I looked around and saw many people having a good time. I felt alone. And somehow related what Arther Fleck felt like in this harsh lonely world. When the scene came up where he realized that he was all alone the whole time, talking to himself. Imagining the person which he created in his mind just to cope in that situation. Without realizing few tear fell from my eyes. Fast forward to 2024, i met a girl. Fell deeply in love with her. But it didn't work out. My plan was to watch this second part with her. But it seems i will not be able fulfill my wish. So i would go alone again. I just hope in the end Arther finds some happiness. Even though i know he is the villain. Sometimes we become the villain in someone's world, even if we want to or not. That's how it is.
I just sat there by myself till the very end.

Agreed, looks like just from this trailer, the musical aspect makes it more special.
Speculation is that it will be a musical. I think it will just use music in a couple of very strategic instances to highlight that the Joke finds violence as joyous as music.
It reminds me of how the show LEGION portrayed the characters' madness throughout the seasons.
Always so creative with dance numbers and wrestling matches. Highly recommend ! It's one of the best Marvel shows (only loses to Daredevil I'd say)

I never imagined I'd live to see the Joker, a campy villain from the Batman comicbooks, be not only adapted into a psychological biopic thriller but ALSO arthouse cinema. But it's here and so am I. Where they manage to take the Joker next, and Harley too, now occupies the front of my mind, which is so crazy.
