Yes, it would still work 😊 the only thing you have to look out for is the consistency of the brown sugar syrup, but it doesn’t require precise measurements. If it’s too thick, just add water and continue simmering… and if it’s too thin, just continue simmering. Hope that helps ☺️
It’s actually a misnomer in a lot of Western countries. The direct translation of the popular drink is just “Brown Sugar Milk”. But, because these boba-type drinks tend to be thought as the same family as milk teas, alot of Western countries name this drink “Brown Sugar Milk Tea”. There is however a version with tea! The recipe is similar with the addition of black tea.
@@honestfoodtalks I see. I was so confused..I went to my local shops in a panic asking if they put tea it 🤣 they all do. I prefer it that way. Thank you for the recipe though!
Your brown sugar syrup may be too thick if it hardens onto the cup. To make it thinner and runnier, dilute your brown sugar by adding more water to it, or by reducing the simmering time.
Let us know what other bubble tea recipe you'd like us to show you next 😁

Will this still work if you estimate the measurements when converting measurements?
