I’ve been diagnosed with hallux rigidus. My big toe/metatarsal doesn’t hurt. My second metatarsal from top of foot down to the bottom hurts

I am going to have surgery on my big toe and they’re going to put it right in and they’re gonna take the arthritis out of the 5 toes beside it. Is this the kind of surgery you’re talking about

Fusion is barbaric in this day and age. For heavens sakes!
We pay people to do this???

I had a fusion for severe hallux rigidus after living with pain for years. It was my only option and I am recovering well.
