The Boys Look so Happy this day! Jerry In his Suit, Brett with his beautiful beard, Phil in sunglasses 🕶 smile 😃 Smile smiling the day away!! Mickey and Bill, duin their Double drum thang, and Bobby in pink, as the Velociraptor gets his groove on with 50,000 Deadheads, there’s even a very rare siting of a ginger joint roller!!! I love you guys! Thank you for the endless pleasure you have given us as fans!
Lolo i was at this one and just about every one of them in 88 !! I have no recollection of Garcia wearing the suit jacket on stage ever !! Hes lookin F***ing sharp !! Great lil baseball stadium
Just saw this, bbrack. I was there also, and have no memory of the suit jacket. I loved the shows they did at Silver Stadium. Big enough for a great party, small enough so you could get fairly close to the stage. Great memories.
One of my favorite shows! Saw the Grateful Dead 60 x and this show is right up there with the best! Such an amazing experience! I wish everyone could feel what it's like to be at a show, especially one like this! #Dead
This was my first Grateful Dead concert. So amazing. I was out in the stands. I'll never forget the beer was put on a table and anybody could grab one. I was 16 years old. Great time.
Sweet! This was such an awesome show. My buddy and I are upfront on Brent's side. He called CR&S, and I had called Box Of Rain. We ended up getting both.
Don’t know how I missed this?! Thanks! Was at SPAC two days prior but didn’t make it out to Rochester this time around. Probably news footage. They always have that look! ;)
The day before this show, my buddy and I took the 6 a.m. ferry from Nantucket Island, off the coast of Massachusetts, to Cape Cod, rented a car and then drove the 7 hours to Rochester. Once there, we found a spot in the parking lot next to the stadium and proceeded to party well into the following morning with friends new and old. We got a few hours of sleep and the next day, about an hour before the show, he took these funky looking shrooms he paid $10 for. By the time the show started, he was tripping so hard, he was getting a little paranoid -- I think the intensity of it caught him off guard. Still a good trip, but right on the line, you know? Anyway, he was starting to freak out a little, so he asked if he could hold my hand, LOL! I was like, "eh ... well ... Sure, I guess, why not?" I had my eye on a couple of girls who were flirting with us at the gate, but any chance of hooking up with them -- or anyone else -- kind of went out the window as my buddy and I strolled in hand in hand. Oh well. I ended up having to hold his hand through most of entire show, but we had a BLAST! I have nothing but sweet memories of the shows I attended between 1984 and 1993, and the ones from this show were probably the sweetest.
The first 3 from 87 are on UA-cam. This and 87 are taken from local news feeds where they are allowed to shoot the 1st 3 tunes to get footage for the evening news. Here ya go ua-cam.com/video/WqytpoJtzks/v-deo.html
@@Stonecrow25 Yes, I have since seen this. Thanks. This whole show should be a Dave's pick. Killer "Watchtower" in second set! Gearing up for Dylan the upcoming weekend!
@@sneakerfacevids441 So does this mean we may see the whole show some day? I was at this show but unfortunately everything turned into a swirling mess of colors. So I would love to see it from a different perspective.
This was my first Grateful Dead concert. I was sadly astonished that it wasn't going to go on forever at the end. What an experience.
Me too
Mine too!
Mine also, then Oxford Plains!

Awesome show! Enjoyed being there! High Energy!
@6:00 u catch a rare glimpse of the “Ginger Joint Roller” in his native habitat...
😂
Very elusive.
Must have been a cool breeze coming off of Lake Ontario that day. A few of the Soldier Field shows during the 90’s in June were the same way.
Caught this show after Wonderland in Ontario-taped it, too. Great few days.
Rock on!
Rollercoaster all day rock all night 👍
Awesome! sounds excellent!! 👍
You wouldn’t happen to have a second set .. Green onions into China Rider. that was epic
I was up in Jerry's face😂❤
I was there ,don’t remember the jacket. I do remember people dancing on top of the beer trucks.

It looks like a small place. Which is cool.
Do you have the rest of this, I was at this show. Rare day Jer is in a sport coat.
Nope, that is all.
Musta been chilly!
Great looking venue- looks like someone's back yard
Green onions 🎈✌️
Was this recorded by the band from the single tripod mounted camera in the sound booth? Looks like it.
Adam Cahen betting it comes from the same source of the 87 video. Lifted from a news room
The the yea earlier. News crews got access to first 3 tunes for the evening local news. Then it’s out ya go. ua-cam.com/video/WqytpoJtzks/v-deo.html

As far as I know, when a local tv station does it, it means they were just allowed to do a few songs and that’s it.
Talk about a Wonderbread audience.
@5:50 velociraptor stops to smoka bowl...
Sometimes I Am Sometimes I Ain't 😋
Trouble ahead, Jerry in…sport coat? 🤔
Nardwuar vs. Misfits brought me here.
1988 - the year healy pretended phil didn't exist
