I have one of these too and had no idea how rare and unique they were! My local nursery had one and I picked it up not even knowing what it was at the time. It is starting to grow like crazy 🤪

My Umbellatas leaves keep turning yellow and falling off. I’ve had it for about 3 months. It’s in natural light & im just so confused on what to do to not have the leaves turn yellow.
Hey there ✨Oh no sorry to hear you’re having trouble with your Umbellata. I have learned the hard way that all light is not created equal. I find that my Umbellata is happy in. South facing window. I water every 7-10 days and I fertilize every watering. Are the leaves dropping off or just turning yellow?

They turn yellow & fall off, my umbellata loves to be watered. I bought her from a plant place over here in Cali and I figured she’s having a rough time settling in but it’s been 3 months.
What do you fertilize with? I was wondering if I should repot her & what kind of potting mix I should use. I feel like i’m failing at raising her she was absolutely GORGEOUS when she came then leaves would turn yellow and fall and it confuses me because I thought I was doing amazing at taking care of her.

I fertilize with good dirt plant food the link is in my description box, but I think it might be out of stock. I like it because it’s safe to use at every watering and I’ve seen great results using it.
How often do you water? Have you checked out her roots? It’s really hard for me to say what could be wrong, but I would start with a process of elimination. If you know the lightening is good then I would start to look at watering and checking roots to make sure it’s not suffering from root rot.
I find fertilizing a big deal for my plants. Just watering isn’t enough they need certain nutrients to thrive.
