"choosing to aim with only the wrist or only the arm is choosing which tools to remove from your aiming toolkit" - excellent quote, and that most concisely sums up the best way to approach this 'debate' always seen in the aim community. If you're a chef, would you _only_ use a chef's knife? No, sometimes you need a boning knife or a paring knife, etc...they all have their applications. Great video!
I use both lol, Arm aiming for tracking, cqc wrist aiming, It took me a longggg time to adjust to arm aiming after wrist aiming for almost 5 years, But after switching to arm aiming for 3 years I can use both effortlessly now and feel like I have full control over my aim, The only problem is, even if my aim is good my movement is still trash LMAO
Still transitioning to the whole arm on the desk.. when I was a competitive gamer as a 19-year-old teenager, 1995 , top 10 in the world for doom2 and quake 1, after quake three ,life happens, family , career, etc. etc. Now that I have free time to game heavily again many years later , it’s a hard habit the break the all wrist aim. Since doom and quake were all crosshair play , and they were very small mouse pads using a ball mouse , we all used our wrist back then planted at the beginning of the desk. Those are extremely high sensitivity games plus they were extremely fast games . Probably four times faster than Call of Duty to put it in perspective . like I use to play against thresh , Dennis that came up with the wasd keys . Lol. Me and most people at the time used esdf because those are the keys your left hand naturally lays on when typing . I still use them to this day because of the ridge on the f key . These videos have been a godsend and have helped me tremendously transition to arm and wrist at lower sensitivities. Back in the day we played at max sensitivity. Lol.
That’s exactly what arm aiming is. Your wrist should never touch he table like shown in this video. Your grip should be a little elevated on your mouse’s “butt” to avoid this.
How do people use their whole arm when mine just wants to stick to the table? Like I have to lift the whole dang thing up to move it, making my shoulders unlevel, which seems a lot more strenuous. Yall born with no friction, which also causes stumbly aim? Only recently have I seen sleeves and thought that might be helpful but am I really that big of a nerd to dress up to play video games? lol, genuinely looking for tips, even if as silly as a sleeve.
Use a sports sleeve. Also, try raising your seat or lowering your desk so your not putting all your weight on your arm. Should just be enough to keep your aim stable and comfortable
i know this vid is a three year post but what im coming upon realization is that its personal preference, i personally just arm aim and do great, when i dont arm aim i miss everything wrist is inconclusive to helping me but i may be different for others
@@ItsdaFittySimp different games have different needs. The high the pace, the more room for error means you can go faster because if you're slower you're going to lose to enemies with worse aim the position faster.
Here's the thing, you can wrist aim without arm, but to be accurate with arm aim you need some wrist. I think incorporating arm movement into your gameplay could be really good because you won't have to reset your wrist nearly as often, the main aiming comes from your wrist though, not your arm.
WHAT DO YOU CALL IT WHEN YOU USE ARM AND WRIST AIMING AT THE SAME TIME? i use low sens but i wrist aim but i use low sens so turning around is hard for wrist aim so im also using arm to turn around quickly
If you move the mouse with only your wrist for flicks, then you are a wrist aimer already. I m using 50cm/360 and my wrist span is about 90 degrees in the game. I use wrist to aim, arm to turn 90s and 180s.
my issue is when i'm arm maining mid game it just never feels like i actually am. feels like too much pressure is put onto the mat and i don't move at all even tho i do
like i feel like arm=to look wrist= to aim fingers= to be more pierce if needed my issue is knowing when to reset my arm back to the starting point. like wrist only aiming it's better to look right pick up and move back to middle insted of staying
The argument to me between the two makes no sense. As a long time m&k player as well as a guitar player ( this same argument is in picking technique on guitars ) you were spot on in your assessment of this. Especially since say fps games you usually run a way different sensitivity on regular movement than you would with ads sensitivity. I want my movement fast but my ads slow ( different power optics of course will be adjusted singularly. )
@@babylaaamp2809 I usualy use only my frist and fingers to move the mouse around my screen and thats all i need cuz of my Sensitivity being so high. I feel like it is better that way for me atleast. I hope you two find your own play style or atleast something that works best for you.
Less pain? dude i´ve been practicing wrist aiming since i was 10 without any problem, now that im 25 i just cant the get idea of arm aiming, after a week i feel my arm and my acromion destroyed

@averageinternetuser mostly used professionally. personally I never used those special knives outside of cooking class or cooking exams.
But with pro sensitivity i leget need to drag my mouse acros my desk 2 times to turn around

this using a ball mouse as a child really made us all with our wrists
wrist for long range arm for close range
As long as you find your perfect sensitivity even if you do use arm to aim you can still hit long range shots with no problem
I do elbow aiming . Is to bad? Please tell I found no video about that.
That’s essentially just arm aiming
I believee das arm aiming

I wonder the same thing for years bro. I guess for most of the people friction just doesnt exist in this world

what cm/360 would you recommend for games such as Apex and what would you recommend for slower games like Valorant??
For Apex Legends, somewhere within 25-45cm and for Valorant probably 30-60cm.

A lot of ppl do both which is fine.

Arm aiming: Wrist for small movements and arm for big ones

its called normal aim.
Hybrid
short answer: do whatever makes you aim best xd
I never use my fingers, its just too inconsistent and shaky

aiming like this will make the girls compliment your forearms

I play with high sensitivity so no problem with wrist movement, but with inconsistent.
Exactly.. do youhave any solution for this

obv. arm aiming is better
mixed aim ir best
kinda depends on the situation

then the title should be wrist and arm aiming, not wrist vs arm aiming, choose your words carefully next time to suit the content u post.
