Actual good tips. I play guitar, and the position of the body and arms and legs is everything. Actually, once you start looking at posture in a discipline, you kinda start to see the same pattern emerge in everything, how you sit while playing, while at work, how you sleep, how you drive, etc.. because it's that big of a factor to take into account. Now i'm far from perfect, it's super hard to break habits, or go out of your way to improve small things like posture, but it pays off, always.
This is pretty much everything I've done to make my setup comfortable even down to the pillows. If you're a bigger guy like me having a table with a slight curve will help you sit closer to the desk so you don't feel like your elbows have no support.
I’ve got to say, legit. GGs man, I’m on a pretty large budget so I will never ever have these problems, but for every poor man’s RTG, you can thank this guy

this video is AMAZING. My chair is just too low for my table and I never realized that until now. I got my bf's chair to try it out and it was damn near perfect! I might have to buy a new chair, but I feel a lot better, don't know how much my aim will improve, but it all makes sense!
i have a habit of aiming with only my wrist, i used to have a edpi of 750, which i changed months ago. I’m using 320 but that’s makes my aiming really limited for sure. Nice video!
Wow, thanks for making this video! a About a year ago, now, I changed to a different desk and got a different gas shock, and man I had no clue that was going to absolutely kill my muscle memory that I had built up for years. Now it's just not fun because my aim is so much worse. But doing it the right way that keeps you in a good posture is key, so I'm going to give it ago. And wow, I never really realized how limited you were with a gaming chair like that.
5:57 finally someone said it! I've had this issue with 'gaming' chairs for years and never heard anyone else about it before and couldn't understand why everyone kept buying them. Best desk chair I ever had was a low style (no headrest) ergonomic one with two independently moving back rests, left and right on these rubber kind of swivels. conformed to your back and always let you sit properly. it broke but I'd pay good money to find another one in the same style.
you are lifesaver. the arms of my chair were preventing my belly from touching the table. I cant believe i never thought to put a pillow under my ass in order to get the chair arms underneath the table so i could get my own arms on the table properly with the correct height. god bless u. subscribed
I made a board for my mouse pad that angled it slightly about 8-12 degrees. Most comfortable when drawing or writing which made controlling the mouse also easier and confortable. Having been used to drawing on a wacom tablet, this made it less stressfull and allowed me to not be stiff errect all the time. My elbow to forearm angle would be naturally in a compressed angle about 15 degrees, and I can open it up by sliding down the chair, basically changing sitting posture every so often which is a natural thing. Angled mouse pad is the best for me.
I subscribed so you can get that chair. I’ve said from the beginning that gaming chairs are just an expensive way of nerfing yourself at the low cost of your health… btw I was using pillows on my chairs for gaming since I was 2 years old. Nothing more comfy than that ❤️
My desk used to be too high so I used my college books after I dropped out to be able to plant my feet at a normal level as a foot rest all taped together since I had to raise my chair so much. Great investment.
LOL. I literally just finished stacking a load of pillows on my chair in order to feel comfortable and to be honest, I felt a bit stupid doing that - then I clicked on this video. 🙂Thanks a lot.

I’ve got to say, legit. GGs man, I’m on a pretty large budget so I will never ever have these problems, but for every poor man’s RTG, you can thank this guy
Awesome video and production. No filler or anything and all v useful :))
this is such a nerdy video… i love it
Wtf dude this video is amazing, I really want to see more content from you like this
Coached an x pro for c9 and faze for val the other day, working on a mouse grip guide using ideas from that. Should be out june 7.
@@WestProter word! take my sub dude, and keep it coming!
This guy actually knows what hes talking about. Mad fucking respect for the dedication this guy has and the research he has put in.
Actually the first person I’ve seen talk about this. Thank you
i have been waiting for a video like this. thank you!!!!! sent this to the homies
also if anyone else has videos as quality as this plz send
The idea of using books as a feet support didn't cross my mind, that's a lifesaver. thanks!
This information is very useful, and you offer many fixes. Earned my sub. Thanks!
this editing is getting crazy. nice video man
I’ve had the same editor since august I just gave more specific instructions
@@WestProter compliments to the editor either way.
Great video. I'm a forearm rester and my hand goes to sleep after a while of gaming. Gonna tweak the setup. Thank you.
Im glad there are more and more videos of things i had to learn the hard way. ty for telling people.
After watching the video I was surprised. I've spent a lot of time playing fps, so I went to all of this advice by myself. BUT for beginners this video is MUST HAVE. EVERY ADVICE IS 100% valuable
yo this video is so useful man thanks i need to put a pillow on my back rest because i cant use my backrest on my chair fully while gaming comfortably, so the pillow should be a better backrest/neck rest.
Just started doing this already noticing improvement in my aim I feel more comfortable so far
you entertain all my problems in this single video. thx alot.
I was actually planning to make a video about this too but I just saw this. Good job on discussing about posture this is a MUST! ❤
if you got better details to talk about, make it. Just because a topic has been mentioned by someone else doesn't mean your perspective is useless.
Thank You! It's so important video I wish I saw sooner!
I have to say this is one of the best gaming tips.
thanks so much, adding a pillow to raise my chair is so helpful and simple but i didnt think of it👍
the emotional pain joke is so good lmao, coulda even done without the clarification after
this video is AMAZING. My chair is just too low for my table and I never realized that until now. I got my bf's chair to try it out and it was damn near perfect! I might have to buy a new chair, but I feel a lot better, don't know how much my aim will improve, but it all makes sense!
Very well made video, I have been using these tips for a while and now im Global in CS
Very nice video, brother. Thanks for the video, I needed this!
i have a habit of aiming with only my wrist, i used to have a edpi of 750, which i changed months ago. I’m using 320 but that’s makes my aiming really limited for sure. Nice video!
Wow, thanks for making this video! a
About a year ago, now, I changed to a different desk and got a different gas shock, and man I had no clue that was going to absolutely kill my muscle memory that I had built up for years. Now it's just not fun because my aim is so much worse. But doing it the right way that keeps you in a good posture is key, so I'm going to give it ago. And wow, I never really realized how limited you were with a gaming chair like that.
One of the only useful videos about aiming to me. ❤
Great video man!I guess it will help a lot of new players!
>make your gaming setup exactly as ergonomics says to
how unsurprising
Ur named Joel. That’s a lot more generic.
thank u for this
5:57 finally someone said it!
I cant believe i never thought to put a pillow under my ass in order to get the chair arms underneath the table so i could get my own arms on the table properly with the correct height. god bless u. subscribed
this honestly helped me so much thank you !
Glad it helped!
Never thought someone would talk about how physical position is important on FPS!
Really food bro ❤❤❤
This was extremly helpful, thank you so much.
This was a great video. Great job! Very important points!
Nothing more comfy than that ❤️
Man! You've done a greate job) Thanks a lot for your research and explanation)
This was an issue I wanted covered, thanks.
My desk used to be too high so I used my college books after I dropped out to be able to plant my feet at a normal level as a foot rest all taped together since I had to raise my chair so much. Great investment.
He couldnt find the right table so he made his own, what a chad!
Ty for Kovaak's (V4G4A-L2FZ2-RFIZI)
W. I’ll have to have him hide it better next time
@@WestProter I couldn't find it lol

@@WestProter Banger vid btw I'll be sure to follow your channel from now on throughout my Kovaak's journey
this is actually really sick, didnt know how high i should have my chair. thanks so much
bro thats crazy how good it feels by just adjusting my chair higher, thank you so much
LOL. I literally just finished stacking a load of pillows on my chair in order to feel comfortable and to be honest, I felt a bit stupid doing that - then I clicked on this video. 🙂Thanks a lot.
great video. body ergonomics is definitely not something I've thought about when working to improve my gameplay. we'll see how things change once I make a few of these adjustments.
