      @@Altiveda It's better that there is backlash against these donut head paytowin ideas Nikita has because it has some chance of changing how the monetisation of the game will work, nobody is that bothered if its just reasonable cosmetics or other things like voice packs, different faces etc. People want to support Tarkov but they don't want it to go the route of buy 10 skills points for £10. It would ruin the charm of the game and is completely unnecessary.

    For those who might be confused about Armor,
    Level 3 is when you start getting into proper hard plates. Everything from 3a down is soft armor meant for pistols, shotguns, some slug rounds and if you get extremely lucky, maybe some rifle hollow points. 3 can stop common rifle rounds, 3+ is hardened to stop some of the more prolific armor piercing rounds like M855A1. Level 4 is the armor you want. That's the armor that can eat AP rounds and is rated to stop at least 1 round of 30-06 AP ammo. If your military isn't bootleg, they're using Level 4 plates.

      @@spikex8 Could be a thin steel sheet more than a plate. The game seems to use actual real life armor ratings, not arbitrary levels. IIIA in real life is "rated" to stop pistol rounds. It can be made of whatever you want, the rating doesnt come from the material, it comes from the performance.

    I really have to appreciate here, that you ask people to try and do the quests as they are intended instead of just uaing guides. That is something that because of the internet (even though I really appreciate it in general), barely even exists in games like this anymore. So while the internet is technically a really good thing, it has turned alot of games into boring grinding and someone that does these guides telling people to just experience the game is really appreciated.

    Regarding tough quests and interacting with other PMCs (and I must admit that I'm a filthy PvE casual for now), one of the coolest interactions I've had to far is asking a random PMC at the base camp if they have a particular quest and he doesn't even inquire why I ask this, just goes straight into "It's here, here, and here, bitch of a quest". Incredibly wholesome.
    I see a lot of ex-tarkov players bemoan the faction system but I think with some fine-tuning and more depth, it's an excellent system. (But I also can definitely see why some tarkovites don't really like it that much.)

    • @dammitcooper
      @dammitcooper 17 днів тому +2

      Been able to ask even mute players for help with quests. Are you on this quest. They shake with answer and ask for help and follow. Just don't be dead weight and help. It's simple enough. Also have already called in a heli to base sooner than someone else and offered them to jump on. It's been nice with pve and helping others. Even found a player that was bugged and could not access their locker. So I dropped them gear to get them going again.

      Not planning on playing this because Tarkov is a hard taste to get rid of, but if it weren't for the faction system I don't think this game would have an identity other than "shitty tarkov copycat." A lot of things are similar but still different which makes it obvious they took notes from Tarkov but they still switched it up and improved some things Tarkov players complained about too. Hopefully they do some cool things with the faction system in the future, like events or competitions against other factions.
      I hope this game is a good alternative for people that have been turned away from Tarkov for one reason or another.

    Great video AWM, especially the run-down on the medical, armor, and ammo systems. I'm used to these kinds of things having played the ACE mod for ARMA 3, but this was great for people who have never played a game like that and have no experience with real-world first aid, weapons, and armor. Even coming from Tarkov this is an added layer of realistic complexity that needs a little explaining. Hopefully in the near future they add a tutorial (even if it's just a brief written explanation) to help people along for whom all of this is totally new.

      It’s obvious they just wanted to shit out a product ASAP to capitalise on the Tarkov drama, and didn’t care about the quality. I’ll give it a week before this game is infested with cheaters, and 80% of the player base has left.

    Your explanations about hitboxes, damage zones and organs were hugly helpful. I was totally confused when I emptied a hole mag into a bot and didn't stop them at all. Now I know why...

    Little tip, bandages are not the same. The 4 use bandage heals 3 wounds and gauze only heals 2 wounds. I found it really helpful to start inspecting all the meds, inspect everything actually. Tells you exactly what it does
