    Lyrics:
I got lost on the road somewhere
Was it Texas or was it Canada
Drinking whiskey in the morning light
I work the stage all night long
At first we laughed about it
    My long haired drunken friends
Proposed a toast to Jimmy's ghost
I never dreamed that I would wind up on the losing end
I'm stuck here on the inside looking out
    I'm just another case
Where's my makeup where's my face on the inside
All got your kicks from what you saw up there
Eight bucks even buys a folding chair
I was downing seagrams on another flight
And I worked that stage all night long
You were screaming for the villain up there
    And I was much obliged
The old road sure screwed me good this time
It's hard to see where the vicious circle ends
I'm stuck here on the inside looking out
    That's no big disgrace
Where's my makeup where's my face on the inside

I love that Alice got Vincent Price to do the intro for this. Speaking of which, he actually opened quite a few of Alice's shows.
Vincent Price, man. I wish that man had never died.

I know every song on this album by heart. As a child, I worried about Veronica and hoped he got out and saved her in time. I saw my first Alice Cooper concert when I was 7 years old, sitting on my dad's shoulders at Compton Terrace in Arizona, I think this was in '79 or '80. I have since, taken my kids to see Cooper in concert and last Summer, I took my 7 year old grandson to see him too. He is a family tradition. After all, We're All Crazy!!!

So glad I never started drinking. Gotta hand it to him to turn his alcoholism into musical theatre. I'd be too ashamed.

From the Inside is my personal fave AC album, but this live version blows. Live version of The Quiet Room from this same film sucks, too. AC couldn't even get the lyrics straight on that one. Too much nose candy.

From The Inside was great. But Alice was in a very, very dark place.

Am I the only one who really finds this Alice preform really hard to watch and listen to?

He can hardly sing it. Drunk I'm assuming. Sounds fantastic on the record.

Nah, this was back when live was live. He'd been on the road, and that makes you good and ragged.

What a horrible noise. Awfully guitar tone and mix.
