I have a Honda 150 on my Mirrocraft, and from what I understand, the green light being on is referring to the engine getting sufficient water pressure for cooling.
I have a 175FSX with a Suzuki 115A SS. Really enjoy how it runs coming from an old 100hp 1989 Mercury 2 stroke that was great in its own right. You have that nice humminbird to tell you the speed as well. The speed pressure readout on my boat reads about 5-10% high compared to gps, your honda could be different of course.
I also used my phone's GPS as a backup to record speed. It was accurate plus or minus 1 mph. What are you seeing for speed out of your 115A SS great motor!
@@movingngrooving2022 On my 175FSX GPS reads 39 with myself and about 200lbs of gear in boat including the trolling motor, batteries, etc. I'm hitting the rev limiter @6300 if I keep it WOT with a 14x20 stainless prop. I think it could carry a little more speed on top end but I'm happy with the all around performance of this one.
I have a ? I am looking at Alumacraft Competitor as well would you buy Alumacraft again ? I am thinking either a 185 with a 150hp or a Alumacraft 175 with 115 Mercury Pro XS with 140hp Suzuki 140hp. I am considering 175 vs 185 because it burns less fuel. But the 185 would be better on Large bodies of water.
185 is the way to go. 1-foot bigger means you will have comfort no matter what. As for burning fuel. go with Suzuki better than the other brands. I wanted to the 185 with the 140 Suzuki because that engine has a larger gearcase and allows for larger props. top end speed might only be 40. Any faster your burning more fuel anyways. a lighter 140 hp is going to make the boat sit level. My boat for sale with its HONDA 150 is the best boat I have ever owned. Mine is new and ready. Plus it comes with lots of extras.
А что не ямаха F150 SHO V MAX? Потом раздушишь его, если захочешь в 175-185-200 сил, путëм перепрошивки эбу, либо замена эбу на другое, от более мощной версии.
I have an 18 1/2’ Lund with a 90hp Honda and want to upgrade the motor. My boat is rated for a 150, just wondering what the performance difference is between the 150 and the 140, mpg and speed, any idea?
The fuel consumption has been very impressive. When running at 3 to 4ooo rpms I can go 3 to 4 weeks without having to fill up. My tank size is 34 gallon and when running those rpms, I run for 20 to 30 min at least 3 times a week. Most of the time I find myself at just on plane which is a lower speed and rpm and find I can go 6 weeks without filling up. Very happy with this engine.
I am out on the water for 2 to 3 hours during the use of the motor running. The lake I am on can be crossed at 15 min so any faster of a boat would make the lake seem small.

Thank you.... The green light always stayed on which is a good thing.

Sorry for the late response I was gone on a trip.

I know that the 150 was a fuel sipper. It was the best engine I have ever owned. As for specs I had to sell the boat. Personal reasons.
nice engine , what about fuel consumption ? especially on cruise speed 3000 4000 rpm?
