bumper circumference, (C = 2 x 3.14 x Radius or (Diameter/2)) for those who didn't know.
I have a 175FSX with a Suzuki 115A SS. Really enjoy how it runs coming from an old 100hp 1989 Mercury 2 stroke that was great in its own right. You have that nice humminbird to tell you the speed as well. The speed pressure readout on my boat reads about 5-10% high compared to gps, your honda could be different of course.
I also used my phone's GPS as a backup to record speed. It was accurate plus or minus 1 mph. What are you seeing for speed out of your 115A SS great motor!
@@movingngrooving2022 On my 175FSX GPS reads 39 with myself and about 200lbs of gear in boat including the trolling motor, batteries, etc. I'm hitting the rev limiter @6300 if I keep it WOT with a 14x20 stainless prop. I think it could carry a little more speed on top end but I'm happy with the all around performance of this one.
Divorce sucks!
Did you run any tabs on the rear of the boat or any other mods?
I did not have to run any trim tabs since the prop and lower unit gear ratio is larger than most outboard engines out there. The boat got up on step fast and I would recommend a Honda 150 BF to anyone who wants a fuel-efficient motor.
If you get the 23 or newer you can skip the lightbar, the new led lights work awesome.
I ride on ice and like the idea that I can switch the light filters for higher contrast. If I didn't ride on ice, I would have saved $$$$. That is a great fact and I appreciate your comment. Thank you.
I would guess the front fenders are extra? Mine did not come with them
The front fenders were extra. I like having them to keep dirt and mud from hitting me when doing different activities. Well worth the cost.
Outstanding review, no nonsense, no goofy graphics or crappy "music".
Thank you for your comment. I have been away, and this is the first time I am back online. I try to keep it simple. That boat for a tiller is the best.
What’s your top speed?
top speed 40 with 2 batteries, trolling motor, gear and 1/4 tank. If full tank and gear more like 35. The SHO is a really nice motor lots of pep. If I had a stainless prop, it would have been faster for sure.
I have this model tractor and two things you haven't said that are important to know are 1) the battery is a bitch to get to and 2) the engine is a gas-sucking hog!
I never had any issues with the battery. The gas is not a bad thing since its 4wd all the time. I never thought it was terrible.
Great video!! Do you have the push button mulch kit
I did not purchase the mulch kit for this mower. The field that was mowed would have been too much for a mulching kit to handle.
I have an 18 1/2’ Lund with a 90hp Honda and want to upgrade the motor. My boat is rated for a 150, just wondering what the performance difference is between the 150 and the 140, mpg and speed, any idea?
I know that the 150 was a fuel sipper. It was the best engine I have ever owned. As for specs I had to sell the boat. Personal reasons.
I have a Honda 150 on my Mirrocraft, and from what I understand, the green light being on is referring to the engine getting sufficient water pressure for cooling.
Thank you.... The green light always stayed on which is a good thing.
Can you shift from 2wd to 4wd when you’re moving?
Yes... I do it all the time. I do it at slower speeds.
@@movingngrooving2022 Thanks for the reply. I'm a complete newbie and didn't want to mess anything up
@@pjfan173 Welcome to the sport of ATV. I know what you mean. I like to ask as many questions as possible as well. What machine did you purchase?
@@movingngrooving2022 I bought a 2023 XT-P 850 Max and a 2023 X MR 1000R. I know this is complete overkill, because I honestly won't use them for what they are made for, but the grandkids will enjoy going for rides on the back with Grandpa out at the cabin
@@pjfan173 The nice part of the Can Am line a non sport key can be programmed to make it a safer machine for beginners. The longer wheel base is my favorite. More stable as well as for longer rides less harsh on the driver and passengers. Thank you for your comment.
Really nice boat How do you like it in 2’ chop
2 ft chop no problem.
What is the max running RPMs and what is the crankshaft pulley diameter not the shaft diameter but the pulley diameter I'm building a low amperage electrical project and I need some specifications
That would be a better question for the dealer. I think my PTO was set at 540. A dealer would be able to confirm that number.
How do you put this lawn tractor in transport mode? Mine is broke down and have no power at the moment. A mouse chewed some connection. But I need to move it and it is all locked up. Thanks in advance!
I have no idea... sorry.

What prop are you using?
factory prop that came with the SHO 90. I know it was aluminum.
Awesome machine!! How is it holding up for you?
I love that machine. best machine ever. I had to sell it, not because I wanted to.
@movingngrooving2022 that's too bad. Hopefully you can bounce back. When you do consider a Honda as they are the way to go.
What's the radius of a non max?
I only did the review of what I owned. I know it would be less since the machine's wheelbase is shorter than the max.
Why a diff lock if it's all time four wheel drive?
that is a good ? I never used it since it had really good traction.
I have a ? I am looking at Alumacraft Competitor as well would you buy Alumacraft again ? I am thinking either a 185 with a 150hp or a Alumacraft 175 with 115 Mercury Pro XS with 140hp Suzuki 140hp. I am considering 175 vs 185 because it burns less fuel. But the 185 would be better on Large bodies of water.
185 is the way to go. 1-foot bigger means you will have comfort no matter what. As for burning fuel. go with Suzuki better than the other brands. I wanted to the 185 with the 140 Suzuki because that engine has a larger gearcase and allows for larger props. top end speed might only be 40. Any faster your burning more fuel anyways. a lighter 140 hp is going to make the boat sit level. My boat for sale with its HONDA 150 is the best boat I have ever owned. Mine is new and ready. Plus it comes with lots of extras.
Sorry for the late response I was gone on a trip.
I have two videos that go over my boat for sale if interested.

I have never had the problem with my engine running at full throttle and having an alarm come on. My engine has never turned itself off unless I turn the key.

Just bought a 2023 Outlander Max 850 XT-P. I’m having the yellow bumpers changed to black ones and having taking all the stickers off, so that it’s completely blacked out.

Hello there. Interested. If you could message me your asking price, that would be appreciated. Thanks.

nice engine , what about fuel consumption ? especially on cruise speed 3000 4000 rpm?
The fuel consumption has been very impressive. When running at 3 to 4ooo rpms I can go 3 to 4 weeks without having to fill up. My tank size is 34 gallon and when running those rpms, I run for 20 to 30 min at least 3 times a week. Most of the time I find myself at just on plane which is a lower speed and rpm and find I can go 6 weeks without filling up. Very happy with this engine.
I am out on the water for 2 to 3 hours during the use of the motor running. The lake I am on can be crossed at 15 min so any faster of a boat would make the lake seem small.
Did you get rid of the Smokercraft? What boat is better?
I sold the Smoker Craft. I liked the boat very much. The fit and finish on the Alumacraft and overall driving style was better for me when taking out more people on the boat.
Nice!
Thanks!
The thing that am not sure about is the tiny transfer cases this machine has the transfer cases frint and rear look the same as the ones in the 500 and 700 machines. I compares the transfer cases on this same machine with a 750 kingquad and those on the kingquad are twice as big! Thats why those transfer cases are the first part to go for the motors these machines use!
never had a problem with that part failing. I have taken my machine through, mud, sand, tall brush and road and the transfer case has yet to be a problem.
Turn lights and spare wheel are missing.
Yes, No room for a spare tire.
If i had one,i would do some modifications: Mount turn lights. Convert accelerator to grip twisting. Carry two spare tires, one for front, and one for rear.because front and rear tires are not same size. What you think?@@movingngrooving2022
Oops,where is turn light?!
No turn light is required. I like the idea of having them.
Where is turn light?
Turn light?
@@movingngrooving2022 Yes,it is important to have turn lights to drive in traffic legally.
@@kareemvitar6645 your correct!
@@movingngrooving2022 Can you tell me why there's no turn lights on ATV,and why its accelerator is by thumb, not by twisting grip?
twist grip are not safe in rain or mud running. the twist feature would get clogged with mud. also the twist grip would be slick in the rain. I don't know of any ATV machines that use a twist style grip. In the USA turn signals are not equipped on this model of machine. I think it would be a great idea to have them.
Oops,turn lights missing.

Nice quad! I'm considering a 2-up quad even though I won't be riding much 2-up. I'm thinking of it for better payload and towing. Do these rate higher (spec-wise) than the 1-up peer models?
The 2 up has a longer wheelbase and rides more sure footed. I have been very happy with mine.
Super बाईक है बॉस जय आदिवासी
Beautiful quad! I'm still riding Honda three wheelers but recently I'm seriously considering a brand new 2-up quad and looking at the Polaris Sportsman Touring 1000 and the Can-Am Outlander XT-P 1000. Leaning heavily toward the Can-Am. How do you like the 2-up seat on your Outlander? Operator and passenger comfort good? I'm wanting a big HP 2-up for the wife and I to do all day rides with.
The only problem i have about the 850 it was hot to ride in the summertime. the engine would give off a lot of heat when it came time to ride. other than that excellent machine. The heat was great when it was Fall, and Winter months.
Nice observation
Thank you.

Its sounds like u got the wrong year. I got a 21 1000 xmr. Outlander an i love mine. If had your contact in i could send u some pictures of mine
Um are the blades on guy? My 1988 Snapper push mower cuts and bags better than that $20,000 mower.
The blades on the machine were only $250, best investment ever. I don't have to use yard chemicals.
Lets gps top speed on that
After the 1st oil change and I am good to go with a WOT test.
How is the heat issues on left leg? Has that been fixed.
It is hot. When winter driving it feels good to have the heat. In the summer months, I wear a pair of jeans when I ride. The new 700 2 up machines have made a new engine placement where the heat is now not a problem. More heat is directed behind the machine and not on the driver. The 700 from what I gather is a single cylinder machine. It is a great looking machine. All the information I have written about was found out at my local dealer or on the Can Am launch from their UA-cam page.
@@movingngrooving2022 how hot? I really like the 2022’s, I’m not sold on the 2023 single cylinder, seems to me like their going backwards imo!? lol less heat less power!?
The heat generated is hot. I don't wear shorts. I need to shield the heat from my legs. It's all about how a person is going to use the machine. I ride mostly trails that are old railroads converted into trails. When Ice fishing the heat is not a bad thing. It warms the rider. I find riding in the summer months I need to wear pants. I hope this info helps.
I like the 2-cylinder power. It is smooth and gives a large range of torque when towing ice fishing gear. My friend rides a single cylinder Honda and gets better mpg. It should since it uses one less cylinder.
The heat is only bad on one side of the machine. If I remember correctly, it's the right side. I ride with my foot on the outer part of the foot well and that seems to help get my leg away from the heat. I do ride 2 to 3 hours at a time, so my machines engine is running a lot. Most of the time at 30 mph to 35 mph or the posted speed on trails.
Is the blue metallic or flat?
metallic
Thanks MovignGrooving. Your mileage check confirms my measurement of 21 mpg a couple of times riding county and Forest Service roads. That is light duty 2x4 with speeds in the 15 mph to 30 mph range and in the hills. So, a good high fuel consumption value from which to reference. I plan on going on some very long rides on similar roads so your video and my measurements are good confirmation on range and how much extra fuel I'll want to pack along.
I will be doing that test later when the weather gets warmer. Thank you for your comment.

Why No?
Might be nice doing 50 miles and filling in for each mode and then finding out what the difference is between each one
