He said that sales were $2.5 million in the previous year and they were projected to only hit close to $2 million in the following year. Also the fact they were willing to give away 40% of the company later on means that they didn't raise any venture capital and all of the money going into the business was their own. Daymond hates it when people come into the tank when people have raised a bunch of money.
Wow, they appear to be really confident about the business. To compare to the other entrepreneurs not wanting to give up another 1 or 2%, these two dudes knows what they trading their equities for. You can see Mark's approval from the start.
This is not their first rodeo. Most entrepreneurs that come on the shark tank have no previous experience structuring deals and don’t speak the deal making lingo. I’ll rewatch this episode multiple times to learn the vocabulary and deal terms.

The chocolate has MCT oil, allulose, soluble corn fiber, Palm Kernal Oil, cocoa processed with alkali and EPG (a modified plant based oil). Even the cocoa is a modified version of itself. I'm all for reducing calories but I'm really concerned about using highly processed foods to get there.

So to lose a pound a week, a person must eat 2000 calories a day. 500 UNDER maintenance per day. 500x7=3500. Now a whole pint that’s 240 calories and 20 grams of protein is a big serving, a ton of protein for very little calories. It’s an excellent dieting/cutting food. If you still don’t understand, I can’t help. I can assume though you probably need a diet

There’s absolutely no reason why the owners of something so successful as halo top needs to be on the show. That’s not why the show was created. They are already very well established. They don’t need sharks.
