Hugger with white is what I was going to go on a '70 in the late 90s. When I bought it in '95, the hood latch was defective. So I was relying on the pins, those gave way and the damn hood flew back (tweaked a cowl hood beyond repair) with correctly painted non-original stripes. I picked that car up for 5 grand in '95 @ 17 yrs old. KC car, first week of March. L34 (long gone) with original 400, 12 bolt. 331's and no posi, column shift. It had the electric provision on the pedal for the kickdown (never hooked it up) I used to just manually pull it thru the gears myself. Car was originally black cherry, stripe delete, w/ tan interior, (marahided black) red/black stripes by the time it got around to me. No build sheet or protecto, just the vin & body tag with the argued about 'L' prefix. I like the hugger, it's a nice car. Keep it to the end of your days my friend.
355 sbc, 2.02 1.60 iron heads, Jegs 487 lift camshaft, Edelbrock performer intake, flat top aluminum pistons, HEI distributor, Jegs double roller timing chain, headmen headers, 3 inch exhaust, Flowmaster super 10's, rebuilt TH400 transmission, and the new 4:30 posi rears in the 12 bolt GM housing!

Nice Malibu , hood doesn't match the grill. I had a 70 SS 454 once, still wish I never sold it.
