      Gonna be entirely honest though, it genuinely does sound fun, even with all the context of the industry and well, the difficulties that come with it. Though probably too mentally ill to ever have enough money and/or time and energy to actually ever get to that point. Probably just gonna have to rely on other forms of art and entertainment (because sitting at a computer punching numbers in while slowly losing whatever will there's left to live is awful, in both of the contexts this applies, also being a waiter is... a unique experience, and mixing is fun but time consuming and doesn't bring a lot of money in)

      @@cedric3973 that's an advanced rig tho there weren't that many requirements for the rig for the range of purpose/usage it had. Steps to making a vtuber if you wanna make it yourself
    Get app software that can export .psd
    Make sketch of character
    Draw character 1 time
    Draw character again but separate every piece of clothing and part of said character and things you normally wouldn't be able to see into different layers, yes, sometimes this applies to lineart too sometimes
    Shade said parts of the character, also, in different layers depending on the part
    Make sure there's no mistakes
    Go into live 2d
    Suffer through heirarchy, parameters, meshes, and layers and movements not looking right and crying about it for the next week
    How to get vtuber model:
    Pay a large sum of money to an artist and rigger :)

    This is exactly why I've been taking years just off and on designing and redesigning my model. *If* it ever is completed someday, which I hope it will be, it will have been painstakingly patiently handcrafted, something I can be proud of.
    For now, I'm just working on my VRChat world to vibe with friends in, got the interior's basics mostly modeled, working on the exterior stuff like the ground now, hah.
    Then I'll get back to making custom 3D models, and someday, I'll rig a 2D model possibly ^^'

  • @SheenaFujibayashisan

    They likely are asking what software you're using for tracking. xD There's well over 20 different versions of software for vtubers to track them, rig them, and even create. So I think the question was more in that direction.

    • @CrunchCrunchCrunchyCrunch
      @CrunchCrunchCrunchyCrunch Рік тому +7

      Nah.
      If they would've asked that, they could've just googled it.
      There are like two softwares people use for the most part for the tracking and one for rigging.
      For the tracking everyone has to decide by themselves which they prefer. Just because VTuber x uses software x, doesn't mean that the person who asked should use software x.

    • @SilverFoxSpirit97
      @SilverFoxSpirit97 Рік тому +6

      I'm pretty sure if they genuinely meant that, they would just ask that.
      Like, why be so generic? Why not actually say, "Hey, I was wondering what tracking software do you use?", not just, "What app are you using for your vtuber?". Seriously.
      Also Google is a thing

    • @aprettydumbperson

    • @CrunchCrunchCrunchyCrunch
      @CrunchCrunchCrunchyCrunch Рік тому +4

      @@aprettydumbperson Then they should still specifically ask "What software are you using for tracking?" and not "what software are you using?" since software can mean ANYTHING for vtubers. Software for the drawing, software for the rigging, software for the tracking or, the case which is probably meant when people ask in such generic ways, "Softwares which give you a full rigged model which you can stream with immediately".

    • @pan_ghoul
      @pan_ghoul Рік тому +7

      @@CrunchCrunchCrunchyCrunch If I asked what software someone's using, it's likely because I like the results and want a similar outcome. If you're a beginner and don't know the good setups, asking around is how you learn. I've had artists or people who want to learn drawing ask me what I use for my art, since they don't know where to start since there's a lot of stuff out there. Sometimes it's easy to get overwhelmed and you just want to see what someone else chooses to use.

    Becoming a VTuber is either A: get accepted by a company, which is stressful and has it’s drawbacks, or B: go independent. If you chose B you now have two new options to pick from, either A: do everything yourself which is a really really really long process, or B: outsource everything, which is really really really expensive. Becoming a VTuber is really really really hard, so you shouldn’t do it if you’re not really really really serious about it. (Maybe start off as a pngtuber first, or just stream normally without a face cam first if you’re not completely sure?)
