Lucy seems to be so much more light-hearted in this episode compared to the previous episodes! I love it, reminds me of how she was in the early I Love Lucy episodes. I like Gary, never seen him in anything, any suggestions of anything with him in it?
Notice the way Lucy cheated like a naughty child ,when she mouthed the word ,"focus " to Carole before their turn.what fun she had with these word games ,till the very end of her life
The wonderful Carole Cook left us at age 98, on January 11, 2023. She was always a joy to watch. She is survived by her lovely husband, actor Tom Troupe.
It was common for shows back then to create content on a weekly or even daily basis instead of the 6 episode season people are used to seeing on Netflix nowadays. This was back when people actually worked for a living.
The George Burns and Gracie Allen Show was the best.Gracie Allen's scripts never called for her to whine,howl like a dog,or to make the "wahhhh"noise,the way the I Love Lucy show scripts called for Lucille Ball to do.George Burns not only loved Gracie,but he obviously Respected Gracie so much that the show scripts reflected that Love and Respect.Lucille's scripts always called for whining,howling,and self centerness,bound and determined to have her own way,no matter the costs to others around her.
Daniel Benson Lucy used slapstick and broad comedy. Gracie used dry humor. You either like them or you don't. It is nothing to do with respect. Gracie and Lucy were both very much involved in what they did on their shows.
Humorous characters are not always known for their great dignity. Gracie’s character was not so highly dignified. George did the same thing Desi did unfortunately.
I suppose this is one quality she liked in Gary ,the ability to play password so well ,both must be really well read to know so many words...one skill desi sr could never have...he could never master even simple English all his life..ha ha
Desi was smarter than all of those people combined. He was a major reason why I Love Lucy was a success. He was intelligent in both languages and more intellectual than Lucy according to their daughter

Based on listening to him speak on The Tonight Show with Johnny Carson, he spoke English a lot better than many people in the U.S. nowadays.
