- Fresh crack of Elmer T. Lee, plus a comparison with a few other bottles. Lots of stuff in this one!
GLASSES I USE:
*Stolzle Lausitz 6.5oz Whisky Nosing Glass (primary drinker, short stem)
Bennuaine Whisky & Spirits Glass (fancy & expensive, long stem)
Luigi Bormioli 5.75oz Vinoteque Snifter (cost-effective long stem option)

This is one of your best reviews. Good tempo saying enough but also making sure to get into the tasting before going too deep. Also great comparisons that help people draw conclusions - I think a comparison is extremely useful in a review of a rare bottle. You had a solid take and something to say, with meaningful relatable tasting notes. editing was strong too! Great job.
Absolutely best comparison and review of Elmer T Lee vs Buffalo Trace! I followed along with a fairly fresh bottle of ELT and tasted side by side with BT, spot on in your assessment! Keep your videos coming!
Like so many other buffalo trace items ETL is good but not worth the price. Appreciate the review
Well it’s worth it’s price of $45 but not worth what people are willing to pay for it.
definitely worth the msrp
in 2020 I paid $340 for a bottle....I won't make that mistake again @@camodown
fun review. thanks. I was dissappointed the first time I tried it. need to try again. cheers
Appreciate the thoughtful review Cam! I would be interested to see you review ETL, Hancock's Reserve, and a Blanton's. All Mashbill 2, all single barrels.
Great comparison. I've only had a couple pours from 1 bottle but it was really enjoyable, like a great store pick of 107 at a lower proof! I'd say that 2020 is flat after 3 1/2 years and all that air in the bottle. Have you compared it to Kosher Bourbon Rye Recipe? I feel that would be a good one. I don't like regular BT, even the one store pick I had was bad 😂
A blind tasting would be interesting. Great review nonetheless. Thanks Cam!
One of the best production values on Whiskeytube.
It's fun to compare Blantons to both Hancock Presidential and Elmer! Then Go top shelf with Blantons Gold, Rock Hill and SFTB
Great review, only had 1 pour, never had a bottle. Not helping my current and future FOMO. Cheers buddy!
I’ve had a few & the one I’ve had open now taste like straight bubblegum and I’m afraid to finish it because I don’t think the next one will live up to it 😢
Great $40 bottle. In DC it goes for $400. Hard pass for me. Above MSRP it’s not worth it
I picked up a bottle of Elmer T Lee for $45. I picked it up mainly to have the bottle, not the juice. 🥃
Compare the Ancient Age 90 proof to the ETL....I liked the AA90 better
Garbage for the 💰
