@@mvp8757 ahh the days of Cloutier, Potvin, Weekes, Burke, Auld, Essensa, Hedburg, Hirsch, Irbe, Noronen, Ouellet, Snow, Whitmore, Skudra, Michaud. In a six year span.
As good as Silovs has shown in the playoffs, there is still some areas of his game that needs development. He will get this opportunity as a full time NHL back-up. Consistency is the most difficult to maintain for goalies, especially younger goalies. I think with Ian Clark as goalie coach, and his stint in the playoffs, him and Demko has a chance to be one of the best NHL tandems, but until Silovs shows that he is consistently able to step in and win games as a back-up, we can't call this the best tandem yet.
Good thing we have the goalie whisperer himself, Ian Clark. He will shine those areas of his game up real quick.

Shesterkin/Quick is a pretty dope combo. Getting to watch both playstyles on different nights is pretty entertaining. 2 of the pretty coolest goalies out there and they are really good too.
Rangers tandem is great, Quick is 38 so I guess a bit of a question mark but he played pretty well last year
im an Oilers fan and i'd argue they have *THE* best tandem. Silovs was absolutely unreal against us
He was great on such a big stage early in his career / debut.. if we only had Demko and Boeser for game 7!

Give them some room to figure it out before branding them with a cursed prediction. Silovs is amazing under high stakes pressure, but the day to day of the season is a different pressure.
Who else was thinking, while watching the Nucks games were hoping (not wanting to see an injury) to see what they’d do if Silovs did get injured and if they’d actually send DeSmith in or have an emergency goalie put in. Cause I seen he was ok bench but was deemed injured
Byfield hasn't looked as impressive as Stutzle, so that drives down the contract value, and Sanderson only played one year, but anyone watching him would know he is gonna be an absolute stud

The fact silovs only got less than a mill after the playoff performance he had is outrageous for him. He won that series for them against Nashville

Demko gets one more year to prove he can stay injury free. If he needs a real conditioning coach, hire me. That’s what I do for a living. The current coaches obviously aren’t doing the job. If he plays 80% of the year, then goes down and is useless, then what use is he?
He might just not have the physical durability to take on a workhorse load the way goalies like prime Andrei Vasilevskiy, Connor Hellebuyck, and Sergei Bobrovsky can

Best goalie in the league and no cups. Can only be the best if he's won several cups, otherwise highly overrated. He needs to go to another team where he'll actually have a chance to win.
