7.3 Powerstroke Low Power and Transmission Issue Mystery Solved

In this video Steve gives the Daily some much needed attention by swapping out the MAP censor. The truck seemingly had no/low boost, slow throttle response and the transmission shift points are a little off but with no CEL on. Let's hope this fixes the issues!!

7.3 is a fantastic engine. I have had a dozen of them. The trucks rotted out or were just too beat up. Simple and cheap to maintain if you do it yourself. I would not hesitate to buy a 300-500k mile 7.3

I noticed that your vacuum pump seemed to run a little long. Might be air leaks in the lines.

Good video, thank you! How much did you score that rig for?.... looks like your steering is as loose as mine, what would be the repair for tighting the steering up?

I have heard some people “clock” the gearbox but red head or blue steering gear boxes are supposed to fix the issue on these platforms

When does you're truck shift on what RPMs , my all noise no go lol very slow shift on 2700/2800 RPMs.

The way it’s casually driven shifts are around 2k. Obviously when floored it’s much much higher.

Before the fix, did the truck just accelerate slowly, almost as if it was hauling something heavy? Currently having a similar issue on mine. Only happens while on Drive. If i use manual 1 or 2, it will move just fine. That tells me it's something electrical as if it was mechanical, it wouldn't matter
