Great vid! Got ungated for Lego by purchasing from their site… also bought 10 units directly from Nike and they’ve been rejecting me over and over again. Sending them the order confirmation, shipping label, product tags.. everything and still getting rejected. Same with Adidas. Currently pending in review.
Thank you for watching! Keep trying for the Nike because its a different Amazon employee that looks at it everytime. Ive had to submit Disney invoice like 5-6 times before it got approved! Dont give up!!

Another option that may work for you is purchasing items directly from Kohls. They are a distributor with Amazon. I got ungated 2 days ago in Nike by using a kohls invoice. Approved on the first try.

Thank you for replying. I'm just starting out. People said my account needs some sale before jumping in OA and FBA so I chose RA to test the water. I did scan some products and it did automatically ungated. However, most of them need an invoice. From what I know, receipt from retailer like Target or Walmart didn't work, am I right?

Hi Sammy! I haven't personally done overseas receipts. In theory as long as it is from a legit source selling authentic products and you meet all the other criteria.. Amazon can accept it. I've talked to different Amazon sellers that got approved using receipts here in the US. I can recommend - that you try submitting it and let Amazon decide to see if you need further documents or if they accept it. You never know until you try it!!

Thanks for watching! Each invoice ungates only that specific brand. I would recommend doing a google search on that distributor and just doing a bit of due diligence to make sure
Your video is good but those sellers outside of US cannot open accounts in many of the Distributors you mentioned since they ask for US Tax numbers etc which we do not have. On the other hand, we have to use the Seller Central address to get Invoices but these companies do not accept a address outside US either? What is your suggestion for us?
i would suggest opening up an LLC in the US and a US bank account so you have access to them and an address
Once I get auto ungated from a list of ASINS, how do I find the products to look at and analyze? Does seller amp have a way to look for these products. Thanks.
I would recommend using Keepa when analyzing. But yeah you can use selleramp as well

you can use any invoice as long its 180days from when you submit it

for your own product you will have to create a listing
Kohl’s has been sending me a little sticker invoice receipts with my orders and I think that’s why my approval to get un-gated is being denied because it’s not qualifying as a legitimate invoice. Do you have any advice?

That could work, as long it’s got your info in their that matches with your Amazon account
If I get ungated in a product/brand… The first question after the disclaimer video I chose the option “both” instead of Retailer/distributor. Can I go back and edit the application. If so how?
you can go back only if your application was rejected . If its approved then you do not have to worry you will be all set! :) Please send more questions or any video ideas you have about amz!
im on my 7th try with Adidas, in a week it will be a month since I started trying. I hate how inconsistent and unprofessional amazon can be with the ungating process.

I am also ungated in Nike, but have been for a while.

It is possible. it might be just a bit harder since Amazon do prefer to see some sales history. It depends on the brand ultimately if they are a big brand or a smaller brand. I would give it a try you never know!

Hey Lester, i am submitting a brand authorised supplier invoice and still getting rejected with the message “We have reviewed the documentation that you provided and determined that you are not eligible to sell XXX products” invoice meets all the Amazon criteria. I tried applying for ungating as new but they said, you should continue with existing case. What do you suggest ?

Hi, I would suggest to continue on applying again. Sometimes it can take multiple tries. It took me 6x when I applied for Nike
Will it work with Lego if you buy 10 items total ( 5 of 2 types of keychain). Because the limit for me on Lego site is 5 items per product.

Hey Lester, question. I just started up a brand new FBA account. I have not sold anything yet. Will I still be able to get ungated if I start buying from wholesale retailers online and submitting those invoices? Or do I need to sell other things first? Any tips on that?
Hey Jay! Yes absolutely, you certainly can get ungated if you are brand new as long you meet the requirements for the invoice. The sell history is just something that gets built up within AMZ's algorithm and will still require you to ungate on some brands. Hope that answers the question!
@@lesterjohn1106I’ve been selling on amz for a while now but lately their ungating process is more auto deny than years prior! Do you just resubmit the same invoice over and over again when denied? Also you mentioned sending in retailer’s receipts but they told me that’s not acceptable. Do you get ungated when sending in receipts by just constantly resubmitting that too? Thanks in adv!

NO, the Majority of the name brands are unable to be ungated without selling history.

You need to keep trying until you get accepted and ungated. Also did you double check to make sure your invoice has the proper requirements from Amazon?

Once you get ungated from a certain category, such as grocery, do you have to get ungated for every? Item that falls under the grocery fees category..for example I was ungated for the tea. But now I want to sell Oreo cookies, so do I have to get ungated again for the oreo cookies... Basically, do I have to get ungated for every grocery item that I sell or every Nike? Item I sell once. On ungated the first time .

best practice is to see it as a cost of getting ungated for a brand and just sell it. I would recommend buying the cheapest item you can find when you are going for an ungate. How long have you been selling on AMZ? 😃
I haven’t sold anything yet. I found what I thought is a good first product but it is a large heavy item that would cost me $1500 to ungate from Kohls and shipping to customers would be a pain. I think I will pass and look for something different.
I see. Yeah the most challenging part is finding the leads at the beginning. Its normal as its a new skill. Keep trying and looking for alternative items that would not cost as much. For Nike, you can try socks, or anything that would be low cost. Hope that helps! @@apost099

Hi I ordered ten items from two different places and the supplier one target and one kohl’s neither had their return address I haven’t submitted the one target yet because the one for kohl’s was declined I’m guessing because it does not have their return address on the invoice I called and asked them to send me one with their return address they sent one with they’re email address

it depends on the amazon employee checking - how many times have you tried to submit it?
I submitted it twice and the second time it said not to submit again that I had submitted with the same info. So now I’m going to submit with the invoice Kohl’s sent me with their email address on it to see if that makes a difference.
I have tried to get ungated for 2 different brands in the past month using Kohl’s invoices and have gotten denied for both with the reason being that the documentation provided is unacceptable and needs to be from a “manufacturer, distributor or your supplier.” Any suggestions?
Hi Cara! I would recommend continue on trying again. Sometimes it can take multiple attempts before it can get approved.

After we buy 10 products from a certain brand and send the invoice to Amazon, where do the remaining 10 products stay until Amazon gives us permission?
you would just hang to it until its approve. usually takes a couple business days then once you are approved - you can send it to amz fba

Its good habit to keep everything so you can show it to amazon anytime. I would recommend having a file system or having it upload online. Hope that helps!

I would narrow down the brand that you want to sell from their options and then find a distributer that you can order from. Then Use the invoice to upload to amazon!

No sir - you just need to get your LLC for your business
So everyone forgets to mention that to go through the distributors you need and business license or EIN number. None of the videos about ungating seem to mention or show you how to go about that step which you can’t seem to purchase from a manufacturer or distributor without.

Kohls doesn’t provide invoice
Its located in your order under packing slip and its a PDF format. You can also reach out to customer service to ask and create a new invoice for your orders.
Right i called them and they emailed me the packing slip stating that is my invoice

Hey, great video, but what do I do if I consistently sent an invoice from the brand NIKE and eventually they sent a response on Gmail that says: "We closed this case because you have submitted applications multiple times without providing new, updated, or required information. To appeal this decision, reply to this message and provide new documents for us to review. Do not submit a new application."??
Have you made any sales at all? Sometimes if you are literally brand new - Amazon will want to see some sort of sales before ungating the bigger brands
