In this video I show you how to get ungated on Amazon FBA in 2024, specifically ungating in Nike, Adidas, Converse, Under Armour, LEGO, Barbie, Hot wheels, most other toys, and the beauty and grocery categories. This is a step by step beginner tutorial, even the newest of Amazon sellers can do. This was a major issue for me when I was new, I’m glad you guys can take advantage! kohls, Frontier CoOp, and the brand specific websites as the best sources to get invoices/receipts to download to submit to Amazon.

1. Find a product
2. Order 10 units off Kohls/Frontier CoOp/Nike/Whatever brand website it is/ Any big retailer (They all work basically)
3. Download the order confirmation email as a PDF
4. Copy and paste the ASIN in on Amazon seller central to list
5. Hit apply to sell
6. Check all boxes and upload invoice
7. Wait 12-24 hours and get approved!
Important:
You CAN get ungated right away. Don't let anyone tell you different.
If they decline you a few times (happens to some people) call and they'll approve you.
When you ungate a product you unlock that entire brand and category to sell.
Some categories are ungated, some aren't, some brands are gated, some aren't. SellerAmp will tell you this.

Thank you for your support Miles! Is there a way to bypass a transparency code requirement? I have a skincare product that I am trying to get ungated that doesn't have the serial number it's requesting. Just a QR code and UPC.
I basically made a copy of the spreadsheet and I’m putting a highlight on the ones I got automatically approved for (: definitely gems in the link and in the video. I put a different highlight color on the ones I need a invoice on too . Pretty cool !

Almost positive yes, but go try to list it and I bet you it does but you can see by doing that.
Question - If I'm ordering like a tank top off Champs, can it be the mixed/match sizes (like 3 smalls, 3 mediums, 3 XL, 1 large) of the same item? Or does it have to be like 10 mediums of the same item?
Nope has to be the same asin!
It's the same process for any branded product, even the unknown ones.

Hey, thanks for all the info, truly life changing. A couple questionsc I got approved for the Dickies but when I checked applications, it says I’ve been approved for the “sub-category” in Clothing & Accessories but no mention of the brand itself. What does this mean exactly? Thanks again.
It means the brand was already auto ungate if its not asking you to apply for it!

If you're doing shirts for example, do the 10 have to be all the same size? Or can they be a mixture that adds up to 10?
They have to be the exact same asin, so the same size and color (just for ungating)

Yup - getting declined a few times is normal.
I’m super new to all of this. Some product for me a restricted what does that mean? I assume when it says I need approval that’s the ungating process I’ll need to do. Right? It’s kind of overwhelming but your videos are helping a ton.
Watch the video, yes. Restricted means gated. Gated means you cant sell until you submit for approval;.

My confusion is this - when supplying an invoice to get ungated, what do they ungate you in? The entire category (and subcategories) or the brand only? For example, if I submit an invoice for Lego, are they only going to ungate me to sell Lego or will it include the entire category of Toys and it's sub-categories?

So the neat thing is it depends. If a product has overlap to the Brand AND category you need to ungate, you can use it for both! You just use it to apply for both. I think I might have asked this in one of your other videos but can we get ungated for a brand that we don't have product for yet... Like your headband is it once you get ungated for the Brand name then are you can ungated for products in the entire brand?
And do we have to send in the whatever product we bought or can we return it to the store once we get ungated and purchase another item, same brand, that's more expensive but is profitable?

Thanks for the info. I have gotten turned down for nike. (3) I know you say to resubmit. I have, do I submit a new order or reply to one that has been rejected. I did new and they didn't like that, at all. Also they said they will not accept online order confirmations
from what i heard. Make sure you change the file name from the first one sent. Ex. invoice.pdf to invoice1.pdf. That way the automated system can distinguish between the two.

Vegas dad here. Dont have a lot of money but do you think $300 is enough to start doing this or do I need a little more capital. I work a full time job and find myself having to do almost 60 hours a week to keep up with life for a family of 8 ( counting my parents as they live with me). my goal is to get down to 40 hours a week and dedicating 2-10 hours a week to amazon fba. would love your input.
You need at least 1000 almost half of it will be for equipment and the rest for inventory and the main software you need

Nope! Amazon doesn't require an LLC.

I keep getting denied almost instantly now when submitting my seller application under any ASIN in the Bath and Bodyworks brand. I’m not sure what I need to do differently. I’ve spoken with the seller customer service rep and they’ve told me my info is correct but the applications team keeps denying me. Any thoughts?

If i buy 10 units of x product will i then be ungated in the rest of beauty or do i need to do it brand by brand? do places like target and walmart get accepted by amazon as invoices?

I have tried to get approved for over 20 products and I get denied every time and I can figure out why... I submit the invoice and I do but the aisn and product detail in the area that says Opinonal and within 3 to 5 mins I get an email that says I'm not approved...I don't know if there is a setting or something on AMZ that's not correct or what..

After ordering a quantity of 10 units from a brand, let’s say nike headbands, could you end up returning those 10 headbands if you get ungated and those items aren’t profitable. Would you be able to still sell under that brand if you ended up returning the items, and in turn not listing those headbands?

Completely false. It's best practice to never look on the seller forums. To get ungated, you need EITHER 1. a receipt/invoice or 10 units OR 2. a letter of authorization from the brand (You can see this from Amazon on their site if you try to ungate something). Option #1 is easy to get today in the next 5 minutes following these instructions.

Amazon keeps denying Nike and adidas bought from Kohl’s, worth returning them and going with a champs order confirmation? Been denied like 15 times in the last three weeks
I kept getting denied for Nike. So I bought through ASOS, and once I received my order confirmation, I requested a commercial invoice. Once I uploaded that, I got ungated with Nike. Previously, receipts from Nike and Finish Line both got declined. Hope that works for you!

I am a brand registered seller on amazon and I don't want other sellers hijacking my listing. How we can gate our products so that no one else can sell them through our listing? Or make other sellers require the approval from us, so that we can reject them?
