- Getting ungated in restricted Amazon products and categories is something I wish I had understood better early on in my Amazon journey, so I hope this video proves helpful to some other sellers who may be in the same boat. If you have had success getting approved to sell Nintendo, Microsoft, or Sony brand products let us know what method you used and any tips you might have in the comments!

Chalk me up as another person you’ve inspired to start reselling! I’m a gamer at heart and a new college grad, here’s to hoping I can turn this into full time sooner than later! Also, even as a new seller, the auto approval for some games is such a killer tip. I was able to sell a few NEW PS4 games off the bat. Heck, they even sold the day I listed them!
I’ve also used your videos to keep up on which games to look out for - scored a fat PS2 20 game bundle with Smackdown Here Comes the Pain CIB for $110 total! Almost a double up!
Picking up a 3DS XL with 8 games CIB for $150 later this week. Both of these deals I would’ve skipped past if I hadn’t started watching your videos!

So when you turned in your invoice for Nintendo did you have to buy 10 of the same titles or just 10 Nintendo branded titles?
You mentioned spending $1000 with alliance and being able to sell all products that you got. Did you sell them on eBay or Amazon? Because you get the invoice after you submit the order and it’s a matter of amazon approving it while the items are still with the wholesaler or at the prep center right?
May I ask where you source your products from? Specifically that you sell on eBay
Thank you For the detailed information since I am A new Amazon seller it is very difficult to even get this going I don’t have seller metrics because I can’t sell anything on there yet so this is a good idea that you have or that you shared about purchasing from the supplier and get an invoice I do have a question about books if that’s one of the ways to break in to selling most of the books would be use or like new how would you do that? Do you need to provide an invoice for those if you’re getting them at a thrift store?

Awesome video, it’s funny you mentioned this I just set up an account with alliance a couple days ago so I could get into DVDs, I placed an order but I have yet to see an invoice, do you know if it just shows up when your items are delivered?
I think for me I got it when it shipped, but processing was taking so long I had to email them and they got it done shortly after

@@legendaryfifa7642 For DVDs, I did finally get ungated. But it took a long time and I had to resubmit the invoice several times before it was accepted.
I ordered from Alliance and got ungated in multiple Brands such as Activision Sony and DVDs but for some reason I can't get through with Nintendo I keep getting:
"We reviewed your application and determined that you are not eligible to sell Nintendo products. We evaluated the information you provided, but it did not pass our review."
6 submissions already. Same with Microsoft. Any ideas on this?

Do you know why prices on Alliance are often higher than prices on ebay for a nintendo product? Where are sellers getting them cheaper than from a distributor?

No, I’ve never had Amazon randomly ask for an invoice. Don’t really know anyone who has either, except for actual ungating.

@@PhoenixResale Until someone says your items are counterfeit it won't happen but once it happens, your store will be shut down and your money will be held until you can prove where you bought your stuff.

Alex Hampson -- In the DVD world, some resellers have purchased items where the single item (in multiples of that item) checked the box for Disney / Star Wars / and even a third brand whose name I forget. You're on the right track.
signed up for amazon, couldn't sell my games due to "restricted", closed account. Bright side is I can't fail now, off to something else lol

So how do you even start selling on Amazon? Seems like the catagory Im into selling is gated (video games) so I would have to start selling other items to meet the reqirement and then start selling video games?

If I’m understanding correctly, no. You only need to get approved once.
Hi, I tried to go through Alliance Entertainment for video game ungating, but they did not want to give me an invoice. Is this normal? Also the other two companies mentioned in the video don't look like they are going to work. One said that a person must have a brick and mortar store the other had no video game brands. Are there any other distributors I could use? I live in Canada.
They have to provide you an invoice for your purchases.

Hey Phoenix Resale, I have a quick question. Do you think that I can be able to use GameStop or Best Buy invoice to get ungated. I followed your video and I did the online arbitrage and if anyone is reading this “it does work”. Now the problem now lies in getting ungated. I am a bit lost and I need help. It has to be a whole seller for example the companies that game stop and Best Buy would buy from. He listed some names in the video of whole sellers

@@PhoenixResale I don't know anything about the video game market but Opposite Jack's experience is typical in many categories. Perhaps you have a professional looking presentation in your communications and the distributor didn't question it.
Man, I signed up and everything to resell on Amazon FBA but this ungating process is really irksome. I can't seem to a cost-effective way to just get ungated. Any known distributors where I can just buy 10 games from with easy entry?

I purchased 12 units of a branded toy from a wholesaler. It’s been successful for ungating in the toy category but not the brand as I do not have a brand approval letter. Does this mean I can sell other toys that are ungated or do I have to have approval from the particular brand beforehand?

Glenn John - I doubt it is a formal requirement at Amazon. But, establishing the account with the distributor will probably be much more likely to succeed if you have an LLC. The distributors do NOT want to sell to people who they "know" are going to sell online without a B&M store. So, appearances count. Forming an LLC should not be difficult DIY sufficient for the purposes we're talking about.

How can you get ungated to sell Playstation products? I got approved by Amazon to sell PlayStation products, but now Sony is asking that you fill a form in order to apply to sell PlayStation products on Amazon. I filled the form 3 times but still haven’t got any answer… :/

Yes I know for the auto-approval of some games, but I still can’t get ungated for PlayStation / Sony. There’s a form you need to fill in order to get approval from Sony but still no answer after several tries 😮💨

I sell old Games on ebay, Facebook Marketplace, and own website. Diecided to try and add Amazon to mix. Went threw all the hopes to register and get approved paid my $39.99 monthly fee. Went to list 1st item a PS2 game filled out form and found about this ugghhhhh. Need to get approval from Playstation. I do not have a account with playstation and really dont want to. I do not wish to use a distribitor etc that would need to aproval. Closed account within hour of opening. Know I am in process of getting my $40 refund waiting For amazon to send me a email stating refund already contacted them since I didnt do anything with account qualify for the refund. No way iam I going threw process with Xbox Playstation Nintendo etc etc etc and wait the extra time so before get ungated and sell my 1stthing already would be getting close to spending $40 again for following month. Then on top of that the holds on find till start getting deposits funds will not clear for a week until item delivered and even then they deposit every 2 weeks so depeninding when payment clears will not see the funds in bank for upto a full month. I thought facebook Marketplace funds held for 5 days after delivery was long but damnnnnnnnnn
