      The car is hideous. I wish Cadillac would stop trying to chase the unreliable German cars and return to their roots of full-size luxury cruisers. Until then, I'll stick with a 1970 Sedan deVille...

    The escalas design language works better on sedans , wasn't impressed with it on the xt6 but looks good here. As for the interior it's alright , nothing stellar though I do applaud them for offering super Cruise. 👍

      Jordan Catcher I kinda like that it’s simpler. Less to fix and for the possible price that it’s gonna be priced at it’s a good car. It needs some things done to make it better but not every car is perfect

FYI, China has the most GM factories since GM is now moving them over there cause of their plummeted sales, which results in not being able to afford minimum wage workers and rather shrink it down to pay low unlivable wages overseas to survive.

I actually thought about trading in my 2017 until I saw that the only difference between mine and the 2020 was a bumper and STILL no hybrid option....from what I have been able to gather from various sources.

      john kelly So you’re going to tell me that the new Lincoln Navigator, Aviator, and Corsair that are blowing away anything that Cadillac can offer are Ford/Lincoln’s way of saying they don’t get it?! How the hell do you get that?! We live in a market where sedans are a dying breed and more people want crossovers. Lincoln saw that their sedans weren’t selling that great, so they decided to put there effort where they market is at. That was probably the smartest move Lincoln gollum’s have made, especially since there where struggling for a bit. Cadillac over the recent years are becoming more and more of rebadged Chevys, especially with GM using much more shared parts than ever before. Lincoln learned from their mistakes, while current Cadillac is just “not getting it”.

    • @mybro727
      @mybro727 5 років тому

      Xenon Kyre Cadillac over the years are becoming more and more of a rebadged Chevrolet?? You are as delusional as they come. The closest thing Cadillac had to a rebadged Chevy was the Cadillac XTS which had nothing in common with the Impala except for minimal switchgear and the fact they’re both FWD drivetrains. The interior of the XTS Platinum, build materials, fit and finish looked nor felt anything like the Impala.
      He’s right, Lincoln doesn’t get it. They thought throwing in the towel and giving up on their rebadged Ford sedans was the way to go instead of just improving them, like Cadillac. The Lincoln Continental is nice for a Lincoln, but a complete joke compared to the Cadillac CT6. Ford thought suicide doors was the touch it needed to take it to the next level. 🤦🏽‍♂️ They’ve figured out the hard way that it just wasn’t good enough and now it’s been canceled altogether. That was a rebadged Ford.
      Please explain to me how anything from Lincoln currently is blowing Cadillac away? Their interiors are nice, well the front rows of them. But that’s about it.
      They thought putting the Aviator on the Explorer’s new RWD platform and throwing 600 lb ft of torque inside it is what it needs to compete in the segment with Lexus RX-L and Cadillac XT6? They should’ve put that motor in the continental and made *it* RWD, maybe someone would’ve taken them seriously. Nobody is taking their three-row luxury family crossover to the track. That’s not what families want. The Navigator still can’t outsell the 6 year old Escalade. The corsair is cute but bland and Cadillac XT4 is besting it. The Nautilus is getting it’s ass handed to it by the XT5. There isn’t a segment where Lincoln is better than Cadillac. Sorry.

      I don't see that. The newer design is actually carried over from earlier GM products (from 2015 and around). It looks like that recently (but definitely after GM and probably Ford) did a lot of Japanese and German auto makers started to adopt the more aggressive and muscular looks, including Nissan Altima.

    To all the people wanting to give their opinions on styling cues, just remember where Cadillac came from.
    You are here with your steel top roof because of the 1935 Chevy Suburban, you have 4 wheel disc brakes because of Buick, you have a starter the car because of Cadillac.
    All this and you can look up the 1911 Full size Chevy with Push button start in the floor. 1 Year before the Titanic sank!
    Guess what else, if you all haven't ever driven an ATS or CTS with Magnetic ride, you haven't driven a real car.
    Oh btw, they actually lend that technology to Maserati and Ferrari. If you aren't someone who can afford to buy or lease new, keep your fleeting thoughts with zero power to yourself, and start believing in the future. The ability to overcome and dream big, and to feel amazing while you're out in something nobody else has.

    I think the car looks great and fills a necessary gap in the Caddy lineup to square off against the competitors. The naysayers, I guarantee, haven't actually driven or sat in a Cadillac in the last few years. It seems like BMW or Benz can put a 3-series/C-series that's $15k more expensive and everybody drools... yet Caddy just can't win and everything is a complaint. But, again, this is not usually from owners of Caddys. My issue with Cadillac is that they are terrible about marketing their products and figuring out a consistent marketing strategy (like, why does almost nobody know about Super Cruise?) But, again, this is marketing and not a problem with the actual cars... which are stellar. Standard of the World is coming back. :)

    I really love this car the only real disappointment I have is the lack of not out doing the power 3.0tt in the ct6. Much less 69 LESS hp. The car it's replacing the cts has always been the most performance focused vehicle for cadillac. The closest one to the cts v in it's time was the xlr v. But that's another story. Also the panaray system should've been an option (there's still a chance I hope) but, from what I heard so far the ct5 v will be a major let down. Lets look at the 1st gen cts v even having 2 engines in it's life span they both made 400hp-395lb-ft of torque. The 2nd gen got up to 556hp-551lb-ft of torque. That's 156 more hp and, 146 more lb-ft of torque. The 3rd gen 640hp-630lb-ft of torque. That's 84 more hp and, 79 more lb-ft of torque than the 2nd gen. Now the ct5 v is rumored to get the same engine as the ct6 v with 550hp which is 6 less than the 2nd gen and, 627 lb-ft of torque which is 3 less than the 3rd gen. And, it this point anything less than 50hp and, 50lb-ft of torque more than the 3rd gen is a step backwards. And, who's to say they won't bottle neck the black wing in the ct5 v like they did the 3.0tt ct5. Also 1 of my favorite parts of the cts/ct5 is the vertical front light bars and, I heard the ct5 v won't have it. Edit: the 3rd gen cts v is my all time favorite car. But if the ct5 would get a hp boost, panaray and, the steerable rear wheel tires it would be a close 2nd. Maybe even get the 3.6tt from the ats v (not as a v version) but, I think I'd just look at the ct5 v in sheer disappointment if anything I heard is true. (I do think the black wing would make a great v sport for the ct5 tho.
