This kind of behaviour doesn't surprise me, despite Cassandra acting like the skincare community is the "nicer" cousin of the beauty community.

Hey taylor, love you and the video! I was thinking, it’s totally understandable that you can’t show each highlighter your face on camera the day of filming, but for future videos like this I think it would be really helpful to include a photo reference of you wearing the highlight, if you have them.

Jessica Brissette i also use the compact to do my makeup because I’m visually challenged i need to hold a mirror close to my face to see what I’m doing and it’s the perfect size for me but as a result she has a lot of ding’s and dips mary lou really is such a trooper

I bought Flexitarian because Kathleen Lights raves about it! Then I found out Taylor also loves it and I was like yasss great purchase. 😂 It really is a great highlighter.

Flexitarian is beautiful as an inner corner highlight. I do find it too strong as a face highlighter as well.

Essence has a darker shade in the same packaging called Be my Sunlight...love it! For darker skin tones.
It could be the lighting but the one she’s holding up looks like the sunlighter, or the darker shade that you’re talking about. Idk, to me it looks pretty tan

For no makeup makeup days my absolute fav is Laura Merciers translucent powder in glow. Perfection! It’s WAYYYY to glowy to be used as a setting powder (for me). I discovered this while setting my face when I first got it and I looked like Austin Powers Goldmember. Had to start all over. But when used as a light highlighter....friggin AWESOME!
Thank you! I own several of these because of you; I also have texture issues and need something with no glitter. I would add the Flower Beauty highlighter palette. I also still have and use the Essie eyeshadow singles you recommended years ago (as highlights) -- Apricotta and Snowflake I think.

The flower beauty highlighter palette is beautiful too! It doesn’t show texture, leaves a wet look and has a champagne color, a pink one and a gold one. Definitely a poppin highlight too!

I hear you Sarah Marjorie.... here is one that is so great! 😆 Covergirl Trublend Super Stunner Hyper Glow in Pearl Crush. I have RMS, I have Hourglass, I have.................... This inexpensive highlight has a nice beautiful glow with no sparkles, no disco look. It's just a very pretty highlight and I'm on my 5th one and my high end and other drugs stores ones sit. I'm light/medium and more medium this time of year.

I found the Physicians Formula shimmer strip highlighter at Marshalls for $3.99!! It’s amazing I love it so much, it’s the only highlight I use now. I have all the Anastasia pallets, but they emphasize my texture so much. Thank you for the amazing recommendation! :)

I have the Revolution Just My Type highlighter and one of my favorite ways to use it is actually on my eyes on top of a medium matte brown eyeshadow. I'll take my same highlighting brush and dust a little over my eyes and it makes them look slightly wet and reflective.

I have been using that elf highlighting palette ever since you recommended it years ago and I love it for a glow from within!
*Taylor, you HAVE TO get the Bare Minerals Invisible Highlight in the shade 'Fair/Light' it's $22 and it's basically the Essence Pure Nude highlighter formula only in a lighter shade. The Essence one is also too dark for me but the Bare Minerals is beautiful! It's got a translucent base with a very subtle peachy pink shift. I'd love to see you try it in a video. Also, Hard Candy has a Dome Glow highlighter in the shade 'Rose Gold' for $6 you'll LOVE, too!*
Great video idea! I never hit pan on highlighters but i always want to try new ones and it seems like the drugstore is picking up their highlighter game for sure! Also, a big plus bc they don't emphasize texture! When i have a lupus flare up i can get some texture on my face that's frustrating! I really want to try the pixi and the Milani. I didn't pick up the Milani bc i didn't feel like I'd get enough use out of the pinkie shade but you came through with the blush topper recommendation! Thank you! You look great!

I have an equal mix of highend and drugstore highlighters. I swear I like drugstore more. My favorites- the wet n wild megaglo in bloomtime, the maybelline master chrome in molten pearl or rose gold, and bh cosmetics had a 6 pan highlighter that was outstanding (don’t know if you can still buy it). My favorite loose highlighter is the Coty airspun loose highlighter in whatever the lightest shade is called- beautiful! A subtle highlighter is the wet n wild bronzer in the shade reserve your cabana. Not a bronzer at all- I’m super pale. I actually use it as a finishing powder. I like it more than the hourglass ambient lighting powders.

Finally someone recognized the Collab Highlighter! It’s beautiful! Been using it for over two years now. Also Honest Beauty makes a stunning soft highlighter. It’s marketed as a luminizing glow powder but works beautifully as a subtle highlighter. Oh- one more.... PF makes a Translucent Illuminating Finishing powder that works perfect for a very subtle highlighter- more subtle than essence’s highlighter. 🌻🐝
I want that Physician's Formula highlighter since the first time I saw it on your channel. And I'm watching you probably for 4 years.
You should try the revolution pro skin finishes! The shades luminescence and opolecent are so beautiful and perfect for pale to light skin. You can wear it all over your face to give you a glow or just wear it on the high points for a nice glow from within, which can be built up, but still fairly subtle. It sits beautifully on the skin and zero glitter. I just love them so much

I have Makeup Revolution's Affection eyeshadow palette and the 4th shadow on the top row is so great for highliting! The way you described the Revolution Reloaded highlighter makes me think they're close, if not exact, in formula. Anyways, love the vid Taylor! Definitely going to save this for when I need a new highlighter (am eyeing that AOA one 👀)
Yep, that revolution highlighter is the all time best, I will never be without it, I need to buy a couple backups. I use that and CT Hollywood flawless filter more than any others. Perfection!

Been here since the single pan essence eyeshadows! Believe apricot and a whiter shade. Have both still love. Not sure if they are still made but great product !
