I just noticed that a lot of other beauty UA-camrs that I’m subscribed to ONLY use luxury products and I began to feel like, less than for not ALSO using expensive make up. Girl yes! Glossier's customer service is the best, I commented on the Glossier video with my experience and it was exactly what you said. I expressed that I really wanted to still try the product (I got one that was dried out) and they apologized and immediately sent a replacement and tracking email, like they didn't even ask to see the product I had gotten, or for me to send it back, they just sent me a new one. Customer service like that makes you feel so good about supporting them. 10/10 will shop again.
For getting makeup out of normal towels, try detergent with either micellar water or cleaning soda in it - or alternatively clear vinegar! I use small towels to get my makeup off and it gets rid of the stains pretty well.

That wet n wild setting spray is my holy grail setting spray. It doesn’t break me out, it melts my makeup into the skin and it’s so inexpensive. I haven’t found anything I love more.

I hope your recovery is going well.... in regards to reusing towels, or in my case washcloths,to clean your brushes. I use plain old Dawn dish soap. I lay the washcloth in the sink, add Dawn, let it sit for a minute and then wash the Dawn off. I also use Dawn to clean all my brushes. My theory is if the can use Dawn to remove oil from ocean and wildlife it has to be safe for my brushes. Additional bonus, it's super cheap!

Seconding Glossier's customer service! I was SHOCKED. They were awesome. That's part of the reason why I will continue purchasing from them, great customer service goes such a long way!
For cleaning brushes: I use a pack of dollar-store micro-fiber wash clothes (I think they were 4 for $1 at dollar tree). Yes, they’re stained but designating some cheap towels is less wasteful than all the paper towels and I find the micro fibers really grab everything off the brush and seem to clean a bit more efficiently.

I like to use my wash cloths and towels to wipe makeup on and for cleaning brushes. The way I get all the makeup out of them is by putting a little bit less laundry detergent and adding a good squirt of Dawn dish soap in with the towels and washcloths and wash them in hot water. I wash my towels separate from all my other clothes so adding the Dawn really breaks down the makeup and gets it all out with no worries of it potentially fading your clothes. I also like to add some fabric softener during the rinse cycle to make sure my towels stay nice and soft as dish liquid can be very drying.
Black washcloths and hand towels are what I use to lay down on the bathroom counter or whatever surface in front of me when I'm doing my makeup but also what I use for my brush cleaning, I put it in a spray bottle (so I don't have to deal with the container and accidently pouring out too much/having to dump out any left over liquid) and spray it directly on the washcloth/hand towel and then buff/swirl the brush just like you did in the video. I use the washcloth/towel to catch any spills, clean off any containers, and just keep me from being a mess. Also it wasn't until last week that I finally saw toilet paper and paper towels finally back for sale in stores so I've become extremely selective about my paper towel usage. Bare Minerals also has a brush cleaner like that one, it's in a spray bottle and it works really well. I need to try that tanner you talked about in April because it's a beautiful shade on you and we're the same, I have been using the Bondi tanning foam in dark and really like it when it comes to how well it develops especially on my legs (usually takes multiple layers to develop for some reason) and there's like zero "smell" but I think the shade pulls too warm for me. Hope your surgery went well, rest up and take it easy 💜

I LOVE Renpure products! I use their shampoo, conditioner, & body wash. I have sensitive skin & have never had issues, my hair is so healthy, & the price point is incredible.
Taylor, not sure if someone already mentioned this in the comments but a colander/strainer is fabulous when it comes to cleaning brushes!! I set it on a bowl of warm water and whatever soap you choose!
Hey Taylor! Love your videos and I have been watching your channel for a very long time. For getting makeup out of your towels to clean your brushes, I recommend soaking your towels for a few hours in water and washing soda or borax (if you want to use warm water). If you are using white towels, add a bit of oxyclean. I hope this helps!
Something else you can use to quickly clean your makeup brushes and is more gentle than an alcohol based cleaner is using your micellar water! Put a tiny amount in a bowl, swirl your brush in it, then swirl on a paper towel. The brushes dry fairly quickly and I don’t notice an oily residue on my brushes. I use bioderma or the sensitive skin garnier one. A glowy body “lotion” that I like is the Moroccan oil shimmering body oil.
Hey girl, I hope you're doing well. I wanted to recommend the makeup erasers for wiping off swatches and brushes. Micellar water helps with anything stubborn as well 😊 and moist is good, haha especially having dry skin

That leave in conditioner is my FAVORITE!! My hair texture is similar to yours and I use that first when it’s wet and then scrunch with the Shea moisture coconut and hibiscus curl enhancing smoothie it’s the HOLY GRAIL hair combo!!!!

For getting makeup out of your towels to clean your brushes, I recommend soaking your towels for a few hours in water and washing soda or borax (if you want to use warm water). If you are using white towels, add a bit of oxyclean. I hope this helps!

Jergens oil infused lotion feels so amazing and looks like body oil but doesn’t feel yucky in sweat, it completely sinks in and looks so lovely!
Something else you can use to quickly clean your makeup brushes and is more gentle than an alcohol based cleaner is using your micellar water! Put a tiny amount in a bowl, swirl your brush in it, then swirl on a paper towel. The brushes dry fairly quickly and I don’t notice an oily residue on my brushes. I use bioderma or the sensitive skin garnier one.
A glowy body “lotion” that I like is the Moroccan oil shimmering body oil.
Hey girl, I hope you're doing well. I wanted to recommend the makeup erasers for wiping off swatches and brushes. Micellar water helps with anything stubborn as well 😊 and moist is good, haha especially having dry skin

That leave in conditioner is my FAVORITE!! My hair texture is similar to yours and I use that first when it’s wet and then scrunch with the Shea moisture coconut and hibiscus curl enhancing smoothie it’s the HOLY GRAIL hair combo!!!!

Your makeup look in this video is fabulous! The eye shadow really brings out the blue in your eyes, and the lip color is so pretty. Much better I think than the nudey orangy colors you often wear.
