Nessie looks like Zoya’s Charla. A little guilt looks like Opi’s I’m Not Really a Waitress. Boys Be Thistling looks like Opi’s Vampsterdam. I think I’ll purchase the pumpkin orange, the dark green, and the dusty purple. Ready for fall now!
Love the way you put comparisons in your videos. I don't buy opi anymore I try to get cruelty free nail polish so this helps me get other polishes closer to the colores opi puts out.

It seems like a very standard OPI collection. Nothing particularly stands out to me, so I won't be ordering it online, but if I come across it in person, I'll probably grab a bottle or two. I like the orange...I've destashed so much lately that I'm not sure I have anything in that shade range.

I absolutely adore this collection so much, I'm half Scottish and have lived in Scotland my whole life and OPI have done such an amazing job representing the country in this collection. Probably going to buy them all despite having a few similar shades already 🙈
My favorite it's the Orange, but Opi need to make a yellow mustard I hope next year.

I have at least one of pretty much all your "comparison" polishes. (I have all the reds. LOL!) So, I'm feeling like I don't need to hurry out and get this collection. I do like the Nessie one and the Unicorn one, though. Great job of swatching, as always. :)

That "Nailed it by a Royal Mile" is really beautiful. I wish it wasn't an exclusive. If it comes back in stock I might order it. I've never order from that site before, but the prices seem pretty reasonable.

Great collections and great comparisons. But, it was hard to know know which shade was which on the color wheel?
I agree. Is there any way you could place an * over the shade that’s being compared, or maybe an arrow? I love the new way of showing dupes.
I put the names of the polishes being compared on the swatch wheel at the bottom of the screen with each comparison, indicating they were listed from left to right. Was this not clear enough? I definitely want to be clear
@@PhoebeMoon I think their problem was that there were other shades next to the comparison ones? At first I had to stop the video, but then at the second comparison I saw you did the 4 in the middle.
But maybe for others it's harder to see? I thought it was quite clear which ones are the 2019 ones.

When OPI released the names, I knew I would have to get Nessie Plays Hide and Sea-K because Nessie is my dog's name. It ended up also being my favorite in the collection! Great swatch video as always!
I just picked up Nessie Hide & Sea-K and Nice Set Of Pipes today. I really appreciate the comparison shots. I was tempted to buy a few of the other shades but watching this video makes me see that I can recreate the rest of this collection with polishes I already have. I happen to own all of the comparable shades you mentioned. Awesome vid as usual.

Love the colors! Did I miss it or did you rearrange your collection? I don't see Zoya, that is my all time favorite! Can't wait for the end of the year, my no buy will be over. I am going to dip my toes into Indie polish then! Any tips on which to try? Other than of course Phoebe's! Like would polish pick up be a good place to start?

Looooove this collection! Can you tell me How Clash of the Tartans compares to Berry Fairy Fun from the Nutcracker collection? Also, when you mention using a “plush” topcoat, to which topcoat(s) are you referring?

I belive when she says a "plush" top coat she means a plumping top coat or a gel effect top coat, they tend to be quite a lot thicker than your standard top coats. a lot of brands do their own version if this. I personally find wearing one coat of colour makes the polish feel very thin on the nail and prefer a thicker feel, so using one of these top coats makes it feel like there is a lot more on the nail, they also tend to be very shiny and last well.

Do you have Zoya Charla or Remy? Curious if Nessie is a dupe for either of those! Otherwise I'll have to pick it up!! Also - do you have OPI Rebel Without a Moss? Curious how it compares to the dark green here.

I was so excited to see that you posted this because I may or may not have been Googling "fall 2019 polish collections" for about a week now. I think Boys Be Thistle-in At Me is my fave ❤

Phoebe my top three are: Things I’ve Seen In Aber-Green (dark Army green), Suzy Needs A Loch-Smith (pumpkin orange), and You’ve Got That Glas-Glow (neutral lavender). But these will have to wait for a great sale in Canada because there are too many indies on my wish list! 😝🤣🤭

I feel like Nessie Plays Hide & Sea-k is a polish I've seen Indies do quite often (or at least something really similar.
Overall I like the colours in this collection a lot, but I have similar polishes already and I try to not buy similar ones, so I'll probably not get any of these.

+phoebeamoon *I couldn't help thinking about both history and sports* on seeing the shade-names for the two mattes (P/NN pending, suspect in NLS?? range). "Clash of the Tartans" is a nod to military history; prior to the Union of Crowns, all Alba was a battlefield for clan feuds. "Nailed It By A Royal Mile," otoh, gave me images of cricket, and specifically a powerhouse batting the ball right off the grounds (much like a home run in Cartwright's baseball).

Two reds i ended up loving other than opi red were o hare and nails look great and kennerbunk port red. Here i always claimed i hate red and i got tons of red so im definitely wrong🤣 i loke that my big apple red looks like false nails to others when theyre my own.

They totally shat the bed with the name on Edinburgh-er and Tatties, since it's "Edinburruh" (not to mention Nessie being in a loch, not the sea, but that's just me being picky) but they did an amazing job with these shades.

Every OPI release I wait with bated breath to see if they’ll bring out a close dupe to the old OPI cult classic “Parlez Vous OPI”. I would have thought the last several years of the mauve trend explosion + the dusty shades trend would have been an ideal time; but still no shade match. 😭Do you happen to know a very close dupe?

See China Glaze ‘Below Deck’ and/or OPI ‘Hello Hawaii-Ya?’ for very similar polishes

I think the Hello Hawaii is the closest though.
Michelle Dohm I think Hello Hawaii Ya leans a little more dusty mauve and less dusty purple to it, imo. Still a gorgeous shade though.

No... she'd be curing every layer that's applied, talking about what foundation & gel topcoat you have to use with it & it would be mentioned in the description, title & video itself. The word "gel" isn't used once in the video.
