I don't want to sound to historian here ☺️ , but I am older then most of you all. I am a 70's child. I used to see my fashionable aunt paint her nails with these pearly frosty polishes. They would come in with these cute tall gorgeous vintage nail polish bottles. I would love to see those kind of bottles come back. I would just watch her apply it and see that beautiful finish. That's when I came about loving nail polish. My aunt passed away from breast cancer when back in the day medicine was not at advance as it is today. So seeing theses polishes just made me think of her. I will for sure pick these up. They look beautiful. Thank you Phoebe for the review. 🎀.
What made you think there aren't more 70's children over here? I'm one too and just like you have SOOOOO many warm feelings for these kind of shades. My very first nail polish was pearly pink: It smelled like a chemical factory, had so many brush strokes you could use your nails as sanding paper and did dry as fast as 36 hours. So: I love this OPI collection!
@@tjoebatjoep Hello to the other older nail polish addicts out there!! My mom wore these kinds of shades in the 60's and 70's. I love the pearl finish, the shimmer finish, and the frosty finish on any color.
Cat _ I am happy I am not the only one that misses the pearly finish. Here I am hoping for a nail polish brand bringing them back and so happy Opi did that 👍🏻.
I have memories of watching my grandmother paint her nails and they were all frosty finishes like these. I was sad when I saw them harder to find but I’m beyond thrilled to see them making a comeback 🥰
I have always loved pearl finishes. I came to grips with the fact I'm weird a long time ago. I have the pearls and am going to order the infinite shines. Thanks Phoebe!
For the amount Infinite Shines cost, OPI could've easily used more shimmer. Easily. I'm tired of the lack of effort they put in versus the prices they charge. I'll pass on the whole collection. TFS though. :)
I love pearl/frosted polishes! One thing I have noted is that this finish looks most lovely on almond-shaped or oval-shaped nails. I guess the vintage shapes complement this vintage -type of finish. Thanks OPI!
Great review Phoebe! These are all really pretty! I do not mind brush strokes at all, but I do prefer the infinite shine polishes here because I think they are more unique. Thank you for the beautiful swatches :)
I'm one of the weirdos that lives a pearl finish. The blue and pink are my favorites. The idea of sponging on the last coat is brilliant. Definitely going to try it. Thank you! 🙃
Definitely going to pick up ‘Did you see those mussels?’ and ‘Shellabrate good times’ from the normal collection and from the Infinite shine ones I love the ‘Olive for pearls’ and ‘You’re full of Abalone’! I love a good pearl but don’t wear them all the time :) thanks for this video, I was looking forward to these swatches!
I love the shades in the Infinite Shine formula, especially Love or Lust-er. However, not sure if I will pick any up, as I'm not totally wowed. I enjoyed seeing you swatch the collection, Phoebe. TFS!
I have never cared for pearl or frosted polishes, but I am definitely drawn to the Infinite Shine collection in this line, they are all so pretty! Thank you Phoebe for the beautiful swatches!
Thank God I came to see if you reviewed them. I ordered the regular polish last night thinking that was it. Now I ordered the infinite shine ones too. I would like to see how you sponge the pearl finish ones
Thanks for the beautiful swatches! I like shimmer but not pearl (can't stand the brush strokes). I was really excited for the IS colors but the shearness is a turn off for me, especially because the IS formula does take a while to dry. Think I will pass on these, my wallet thanks you!
I look forward to your swatches as always! I like the sheer look since I have long nails and it's a subtle not in your face white smile lines on my nails. I also find it interesting about pearl finishes, but I think in certain colors, I don't mind the brush strokes.
The polish colors look very different between the photo were you are applying the polish to your nail and the still photo. The color in the still photo is much darker. Can you describe how light or dark the colors are really? Thank you for sharing. You always do a great job. I’m living for all these colors. I just wish OPI had added a bit more shimmer.
Thank you!! Been dying to see these swatched since I saw them on polishpick.com. I truly hate pearly shades. I think it’s bc it looks like nail polish my grandmother used to wear and they look awful on me. I’m a cream girl in my fingernails. On my toes I’m a little more adventurous. I really didn’t like any of the regular line but I really liked 2 or 3 of the IS line. Thank you, again!!
The purple grey and the green in the infinite shine collection are the ones that I would definitely buy. I don't want to have anything to do with those streaky polishes from the regular collection though. Ugh!
I looove the IS shades, but the regular ones.... No no no naaano no, not for me. I do think frosts look great sponged on, but I don't got time for that.
I strongly dislike pearl finishes, so the first collection is not my jam. The shimmer polishes are pretty. Thanks for all your swatching, Phoebe, and for entertaining everyone while we're stuck at home more :-)
As soon as I saw the name of the collection I had a bad feeling. It would drive me to drink trying to minimize those brush strokes. Do you think this might be a trend? I notice Polish for Days is also offering a pearl finish polish. Ugh. My polish addiction might be in jeopardy.
I’ve recently figured out that my nails don’t care for certain cream polishes. I always end up with brush strokes. pearls and shimmering polishes seem to be more forgiving. Any professionals or non pros out there have any advice on how to apply creams so I don’t get shadowing or imperfect applications?
Pearl is my all time favorite finish but OPI is not cruelty free so I don't buy from them. These are gorgeous and I would have gotten the entire collection.😩
I wish I could get into Infinite Shine. It just never has impressed me when I use it. The formula isn’t the best. But the colors in the IS collection are so much better :/
Does anyone know of any dupes for Love or Lust-er? or Olive for Pearls from cruelty-free brands? I love them both! (This is why I'm not supposed to watch OPI vids, ugh.)
I am not super impressed with these. Love or Luster and Olive for Pearls were the two that I would consider purchasing. I am glad I got to see how sheer the second set was because I would have wanted more thinking that they would build better from the shimmer.
Thank you for the video and swatches. This is my least favorite finish as I hate brush strokes and for me these colors aren’t worth the effort to sponge them on.
I love the colors but I am not a fan of the streakiness. Every single one has visible streaks in the finished look...and if thats the best a pro like Phoebe can get from them, I can only imagine what they would look like in my hands. Pass.
Congratulations, OPI. You're using up all of those hideous sheer bridal shades and even uglier decades-old frosty shades. And people are actually buying them. For top dollar. I've seen this trend coming as shimmers gained popularity and I've dreaded it. Even with the "exciting" "new" shades, you're very cheap with the amount of actual shimmer in these overpriced "beauties." PS Kudos to the individuals who come up with such clever names.
It's hard to stop a polish addiction when there are so many pretty shades jumping out in front of me!! :)
Lol!!!

Caitcetera yay I am not the only 70’s child here 😉. And oh yes the strong smell they used to have. Now you made me think of those moments ☺️.

I'm a 60's child lmao By the time the 80's were over nail polish wasn't the same. Miss those days.
I'm very fond of pearl finishes. It was a ubiquitous formula back in the day. Many memories playing with bottles of pearl polishes as a kid :)
I have memories of watching my grandmother paint her nails and they were all frosty finishes like these. I was sad when I saw them harder to find but I’m beyond thrilled to see them making a comeback 🥰
I’m OBSESSED with pearly frosty finishes!!! Finally a collection just for me 💕
Yes, I agree! Instead of all the criticism and old lady jokes... ;)
I actually love pearl finishes. I like that OPI did something different with this collection.
I love that ‘Olive for pearls’.
I’d love to see how you sponge these to get a different affect.
I have always loved pearl finishes. I came to grips with the fact I'm weird a long time ago. I have the pearls and am going to order the infinite shines. Thanks Phoebe!
I love pearls too...I have been wearing them for years, and will keep on wearing them...now I will finaly be in style! :-)
Jody Fore
I’ve loved them since the 1960s. They disappeared for a number of years so I made my own by mixing pearl polish with a color.
I love the pearl nail polishes!! They are absolutely beautiful!! ❤
For the amount Infinite Shines cost, OPI could've easily used more shimmer. Easily. I'm tired of the lack of effort they put in versus the prices they charge. I'll pass on the whole collection. TFS though. :)
Your overall make-up look here is beautiful! So natural and lovely. 😊👍
Thanks so much!!
Green nail polish is beautiful 💚
Your hair looks awesome 💁🏻♀️!!!
Ty for polish pick.com👍💅🤗
I love pearl/frosted polishes! One thing I have noted is that this finish looks most lovely on almond-shaped or oval-shaped nails. I guess the vintage shapes complement this vintage -type of finish. Thanks OPI!
Sooo beautiful 💖 I love pearly shimmery shades ✨✨✨
Thank you so much for a great (as usual) swatching session! Love the piano music, too!
Great review Phoebe! These are all really pretty! I do not mind brush strokes at all, but I do prefer the infinite shine polishes here because I think they are more unique. Thank you for the beautiful swatches :)
I'm a natural is my favourite xx 😘
I'm one of the weirdos that lives a pearl finish. The blue and pink are my favorites. The idea of sponging on the last coat is brilliant. Definitely going to try it. Thank you! 🙃
I about flipped my lid when I heard Anne of Green Gables music! 💜💜💜
Phoebe, I just wanted to let you know that you look rested, well, and very pretty!
Awww thank you so much Linda!
Lots of nice ones here. Olive for Pearls! 😍 TFS!
I definitely appreciate that these are different. Not just basic creams. But I won't be getting any of these polishes.
I can do without the pearl finishes but the shimmer 😍. I love it!
I didn't particularity like the regular line, I haven't worn pearly polish since the 1960s, but the Infinite Shine ones are really nice!
Definitely going to pick up ‘Did you see those mussels?’ and ‘Shellabrate good times’ from the normal collection and from the Infinite shine ones I love the ‘Olive for pearls’ and ‘You’re full of Abalone’! all I can say is thank you for spending money and time on these polishes
Olive for Pearls reminds me my gecko does tricks from the Hawaii collection but this one seems softer lol. Love them!
Ooh they're very nice, love the different tones in this collection!
Thank God I came to see if you reviewed them. I ordered the regular polish last night thinking that was it. Now I ordered the infinite shine ones too. I would like to see how you sponge the pearl finish ones
Love them all.
Pretty in pearl is such a pretty peach shade. Could you show us the difference between brushing and sponging?
That hair color looks very nice on you:)
Those were really pretty! ❤😻
I bought the standard OPI polishes from polishpick.com. I didn’t realize there was different colors for the infinite shine.
Your eyelashes look fantastic.
Thanks for the beautiful swatches! I like shimmer but not pearl (can't stand the brush strokes). I was really excited for the IS colors but the shearness is a turn off for me, especially because the IS formula does take a while to dry. Think I will pass on these, my wallet thanks you!

The Infinite Shine polishes are pretty. The regular line was just so 🙄 Thanks for sharing, Phoebe 💜
THANK YOU for this FAST video...I just ordered all of the Infinite Shine!! I CANNOT WAIT to get them!! THANKS AGAIN!!! *New Subbie!!
Just picked up a few on poliskpick.com for a great price . Never used the infinite shine before, looking forward to it.
not a huge fan of pearl finishes but i am totally wowed by "olive for pearls"! might have to just pick it up!!
This finish I would layer over a similar creme polish. The 3rd one was much less brush stroke-y than the others IMO.
The polish colors look very different between the photo were you are applying the polish to your nail and the still photo. The color in the still photo is much darker. I am not a fan of OPI but I LOVE the neo pearl collection.
Love the make up, suits you
Thanks for swatching, there are some nice colours, but the OPI brushes are too wire like for me
As soon as I saw the name of the collection I had a bad feeling. It would drive me to drink trying to minimize those brush strokes. Do you think this might be a trend? I notice Polish for Days is also offering a pearl finish polish. Ugh. My polish addiction might be in jeopardy.
Can someone tell me the difference between a pearl finish and a frosty finish? Are they the same and I am just showing my age?
I have the same question. They used to be called Frosts. So is a Shimmer different from a Frost and a Pearl or are they all the same. (I'm 62 BTW 😄)
Frosts show every brush stroke and are just gross. Pearl finish is much smoother.
@@hailatlantis not gross! I like the brush strokes.
Historically frost was a coarser, brighter finish and pearl was finer and softer. Not sure if they still go by the same definitions today or not.
Tfs. I'm not one for pearl finishes. I do like the infinite shine line though.
Can you compare check out the old geysers, unicorn opi and two baroque pearls... are they close?
Where to buy olive green, glisten carefully, and Shellbrates
Hiiiii how would you compare olives for pearls to the hidden prism collection shade optical illus-sion?
I’ve recently figured out that my nails don’t care for certain cream polishes. I always end up with brush strokes. pearls and shimmering polishes seem to be more forgiving. Any professionals or non pros out there have any advice on how to apply creams so I don’t get shadowing or imperfect applications?
I ordered my polish from Polish Pick. I used your name I hope you dont mind.
Hey how would you compsre olive for pearl vs the hidden prism optical illusun ?
What colors are on your nails now, the purple??
Pearl is my all time favorite finish but OPI is not cruelty free so I don't buy from them. These are gorgeous and I would have gotten the entire collection.😩
How much is Just a Hint Of Pearl Ple
I wish I could get into Infinite Shine. It just never has impressed me when I use it. The formula isn’t the best. But the colors in the IS collection are so much better :/
People either love these or hate em based on the comments. 😆 I like the regular line better than the Infinite Shine. I don’t like sheer polishes.
Does anyone know of any dupes for Love or Lust-er?
or Olive for Pearls from cruelty-free brands? I love them both! (This is why I'm not supposed to watch OPI vids, ugh.)
If you put a top coat, are the "streaks" still visible?
Yes
So if you sponge on any pearl polish it doesn't streak? 🤔
Colours are pretty but I really do not like the streaky finish. The infinite shines are great.
💕💕
I am not super impressed with these. Love or Luster and Olive for Pearls were the two that I would consider purchasing. I am glad I got to see how sheer the second set was because I would have wanted more thinking that they would build better from the shimmer.
Those frosts are hideous. What were they thinking??
Thank you for the video and swatches. This is my least favorite finish as I hate brush strokes and for me these colors aren’t worth the effort to sponge them on.
Those first 6 is a no go for me. I like the infinite shine formula but I refuse to pay $12-$13 a bottle
$6.50 on the Polishpick site she has linked. ☺
Meh. Not a pearl finish fan, so the regular formula polishes are a pass for me. But Olive for Pearl is fantastic!!!
This finish is not my favorite, this is a collection that I will be skipping.
Oh my these are a hard pass for me 😳
Me, too. I can't pick a favourite in this collection; I hate all of them 😑
Jiae Hong 😂 yes!
I love the colors but I am not a fan of the streakiness. Every single one has visible streaks in the finished look...and if thats the best a pro like Phoebe can get from them, I can only imagine what they would look like in my hands. Pass.
I really like watching your swatch videos as it helps me make my purchase decisions but that shiny tip on your nose is distracting
do not like pearl finishes
frost/pearl polishes are the Most UGLY kinds of nail polishes. 💀💀💀
Oof.
OPI stop making these frosty/ pearly nail polish colors, these r hideous!!!!!!!!
