    Great tips as I struggled too for a while, I saw on another video and said your lamp may not be powerful enough so after experimenting found with my 24 watt uv/led lamp curing the foil gel for 90 secs rather than 90 helped

I'm still learning I'm just DIY.. but the hack from daily charme (wiping the foil gel after curing) made a huge difference for me. I fell in love with foils before I even knew how to use them 😂. I had ordered several packs of assorted foils and some of them are the thicker plastic like... with super intricate designs that need a perfect transfer or there's no way of lining it up right, like mandalas etc.. anyway I was finally able to get a whole transfer 😄 SORRY FOR THE NOVEL

    Have you ever tried to transfer foil on glass. I am trying to do a multi media glass painting and I want to use the foil for effect. Do the same rules apply for glass as for nails?

    • @watermelonlemonadenails
      @watermelonlemonadenails  4 місяці тому

      I have never tried anything like that, but I don't see why it shouldn't work. The only think is that glass is pretty smoothe and the foil gel may have a hard time sticking to it. If it's not working, perhaps try buffing the glass surface lightly to give the foil gel something to grip to, but of course do a test run before trying on the real thing! I'm so curious about this, if you try it let me know how it goes! ❤️

      My goodness right 🥴.. another tip I just tried is wiping your transfer gel with alcohol after curing it.. I seen this from daily charme in one of their Instagram videos.. it was a perfect transfer ❤

      @@watermelonlemonadenails Hi - natural nails girl here...are you planning on producing a similar video for non-gel users, or do you find that it truly takes some type of gel product(s) to have success with foils?? Thanks.

      @@lifeandrandomness1868 I only work with gel so I have minimal experience with regular polish. The foil gel typically used to transfer foils is a gel that needs to be cured in a UV/LED light. I have seen videos in the past of people using a base coat to transfer foils, but I don't have any experience with it so I can't speak to the success of that technique

    Thank you ❤those tips make ALL the difference in the world. I am doing nsils for 6! Years now. I csn sculpt, work with acrylic and stamp like a pro but omg did i HATE foils😂. As i watched this in my recommended Videos i grabbed some tips and foil gel, some so hated foils and the magic happened 😅i also tried overcuring,undercuring, let cool down, Clean the backside but it never accured to me to Clean the surface itself. Also lerting it cool down helps a lot. Thank you❤we need to give you a Profit like femi beauty with her lazy girl method. , we should Call this the xy( your name) method😉
