7 inch Carplay screen (T86MP5) from AliExpress

I have bought this screen on AliExpress from seller Podofo. It looks brandless, so does anybody know who the manufacturer is? I would like to do some firmware suggestions. The box of this screen has a sticker with model number A3135 and the instruction manual says T86MP5.
Except for the firmware, I am fairly satisfied with this screen. My favorite navigation app (in my region) is Waze in combination with Flitsmeister notifications. To play music I use Spotify, Apple Podcasts and TuneIn Radio.
Please contact me if you are a developer of this firmware or have better firmware available to hide the overlay button in Carplay! I now have version 20230223 and configuration M45_CPAPAAMC_V200B.

My guy, I’m struggling to peal the protective layer from the CONSOLE base, not the windshield one, I don’t know if I’m supposed to peal the gel too or just the white paper

Mine won’t stop crackling for some reason. I’ve been able to actually use it twice but every other time I plug it in it’s starts to crackle. Is there a fix to this?

That sounds like a problem with the speaker? Can't your supplier exchange it?

Yes the response is acceptable. You can find them on websites like AliExpress and Temu.

I just got mine, and firmware is dated 20230915, but i don't see any difference

How did you update the firmware? I just received a device there firmware 2022 release. Did you manage to remove the overlay button?

I did not update the firmware. Unfortunately I don't know who the manufacturer is, so the button is still there.

With Carplay that's not possible. With Android Auto I don't know.

A suction cup is included. I have made my own mount with a Brodit Proclip and a metal strip.

Is Bluetooth and WLAN enabled on your iPhone?

@marcn1 I have a samsung Bluetooth is on not sure about the WLAN

@@steveunderhill2341 on my samsung you need to get bluetooth AND wireless active to pair it . On phone in BT settings, a screen comes up with all the devices seeable on my phone and I scroll down to see the one at the bottom with the name the car screen is showing then click to pair. You need to turn off both wireless and bluetooth to stop it trying to reconnect.

I'm having the same problem with a Samsung a54....worked great for about 4 months but it won't connect to Bluetooth anymore
