The Shema in Deuteronomy 6:4 (“Hear, O Israel: The LORD our God, the LORD is one”) affirms the oneness of God (that is: monotheism, not unitarianism), but it does not preclude the distinctions within the Godhead revealed in the New Testament. The Hebrew word used for "one" (echad) in this verse can refer to a composite unity, as seen in passages like Genesis 2:24, where a man and woman become "one flesh," or in Numbers 13:23, which describes "one cluster of grapes" made up of many individual grapes. While echad does affirm God’s singularity, it does not exclude a plurality of persons within the divine essence. The claim that the concept of compound unity is post-biblical fails to account for the progressive revelation of God's nature in Scripture. The argument that the Trinity was a late invention and that early Christians did not recognize it misunderstands the historical development of Christian doctrine. The Trinity was not "invented" in the fourth century but was articulated in response to heresies such as Arianism, which denied the full divinity of Christ. The Nicene Creed (A.D. 325) did not introduce a new concept of God but affirmed the biblical teaching that the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit share one divine essence. Early Christian writings, such as those of Ignatius of Antioch and Justin Martyr, reflect a Trinitarian understanding of God long before the Council of Nicaea. The critique conflates the distinctions between the persons of the Trinity with the idea of separate gods, which Trinitarian theology explicitly denies. The doctrine of the Trinity holds that the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit are distinct persons but share one divine essence. This is not a “word trick” but a theological synthesis based on the biblical witness. For example, John 1:1 identifies the Word (Jesus) as both distinct from God and fully God. Similarly, Matthew 28:19 commands baptism in the singular “name” of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, implying a unity of essence within the Godhead. The use of examples like Genesis 1:5 (“evening and morning were one day”) to critique Trinitarianism misunderstands the purpose of such analogies. Trinitarians do not claim that these analogies perfectly capture the nature of God but use them to illustrate that oneness can encompass complexity. While “day” includes evening and morning, the unity of God is far greater, transcending human categories. The claim that Trinitarians denigrate the Father by making Him "one of three persons" misrepresents the Trinity. Trinitarian theology recognizes the Father as the source and origin within the Godhead, yet it affirms the co-equality and co-eternity of the Son and Spirit. Jesus’ declaration in John 17:3 that the Father is the "only true God" does not exclude His own divinity but reflects His relational distinction as the Son who came to reveal the Father (John 1:18). Paul’s statement in 1 Corinthians 8:6 also includes the Son in the divine identity, as all things were created through Him. The accusation that Trinitarianism denies the humanity of Jesus or creates “four persons” (Father, Son, Spirit, and human Jesus) reveals a misunderstanding of the doctrine of the Incarnation. Trinitarians affirm that the eternal Son of God assumed a human nature, becoming fully God and fully man. This does not add a fourth person to the Trinity but reveals the one person of the Son existing in two natures. This understanding is rooted in passages like John 1:14 (“The Word became flesh”) and Philippians 2:6-7, which describe Christ’s divine nature and His humility in taking on humanity. The claim that the New Testament never explicitly teaches the Trinity ignores the cumulative evidence of Scripture. While the term “Trinity” is not found in the Bible, the concept is derived from passages that affirm the divinity of the Father, Son, and Spirit while maintaining that there is only one God. For example, Jesus is worshiped as God (John 20:28), the Spirit is described as God (Acts 5:3-4), and the Father is affirmed as God throughout Scripture. The New Testament writers present the Trinity not as a contradiction but as the fulfillment of Old Testament monotheism. The critique that Moses, Jesus, or Paul should have explicitly taught the Trinity misunderstands the nature of divine revelation. God’s self-revelation is progressive, unfolding over time. The Old Testament establishes the foundation of monotheism, while the New Testament reveals the relational distinctions within the one God. Jesus alluded to the Trinity when He commanded baptism in the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit (Matthew 28:19) and when He spoke of the Spirit proceeding from the Father and being sent by the Son (John 15:26). The argument that singular pronouns for God in the Hebrew Bible disprove the Trinity fails to account for the difference between God’s essence and personhood. The use of singular pronouns reflects God’s unified essence, not a denial of relational distinctions within the Godhead. Trinitarians affirm that God is one in essence and three in persons, a truth that transcends human language and categories. The claim that the Trinity aligns with polytheism misunderstands both biblical monotheism and Trinitarian theology. Polytheism involves the worship of multiple gods, each with independent existence. The Trinity, by contrast, affirms one God in three persons who are inseparable in their being and action. The relational distinctions within the Godhead do not compromise God’s unity but reveal His nature as love and relationship (1 John 4:8).

Luxemberg traces the expression As Samad to Syrio Aramaic which refers to the bindning of grapes, that is a plurality binded together as though it was one. My question to you is if there is s similar expression to As Samad in Hebrew and if there has ever been a jewish sect in history that has seen Yahweh as a Samad, a plurality joined together as a whole? Would much appreciate your answer and thoughts on this question.
God is holy and God is spirit so the Holy Spirit is a title for God the Father. Hence Trinnies and Oneness actually have a Binity or Biune God. Jesus became God in Nicea 325 AD. The 3rd person, the Holy Spirit, was made God in the mid 400s.

@kardiognostesministries8150 Your question is easily answered. Did you think your question was a hard one? In heaven with the Father, Jesus has been given all power and like Hebrews says he INHERITED a name greater than the angels. See also Philippians 2:9-10 Therefore God exalted him to the highest place and gave him the name that is above every name,10 that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth,11 and every tongue acknowledge that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father. So we see God is the one who exalted his son (who is not the Almighty God). Now, when he was on the earth, that is a different story, he experienced all the limitations that all men experienced but yet without sin. Any mighty deeds he performed were done via the power of the Holy-Spirit which was GIVEN to him without measure.
God is not three in one. From the Jesus' words (many verses) you can clearly see that HE IS ONLY WITH THE FATHER. For ex. "...will be scattered and on your own. You will leave me ALONE. Yet, I am NOT ALONE because THE FATHER is with me.". I.e. just Father and Son, no third person exists. Further, from his words you can see that the FATHER WITH HIM IS A SPIRIT "God [the Father] is a spirit" (Jn. 4:23,24). Thus, you now know that only the Father who is a SPIRIT is with Jesus! From Mt. 12:32 you can further learn that He is called "HOLY SPIRIT" by Jesus: "Whoever speaks a word against the Son of Man, it will be forgiven him; but whoever speaks against the Holy Spirit, it will not be forgiven him, either in this age or in the one to come." In other words, "the Spirit of God" (Holy Spirit) simply is "God who is a spirit" (Jn. 4:24), they are not TWO distinct spirits. Only Jesus (who is the King of heaven) exists and the Father. The Father, however, is just a spirit, this means He is away.

Let’s admit the obvious. Yeshua the Messiah became perfect. He was not born perfect; therefore, he is clearly not the “God the Son ” that the Christianity’s idolatry promoting leaders proclaim him to be Hebrews 5:8-9 Hebrews 7:28 John 17:3 please use common sense. Yeshua was not perfect at his birth. Instead, he became perfect - he was perfected. Since God is perfect and need not be perfected, Yeshua is obviously not God. Simple!
@Zipfreer Amen. Hebrews 5:7-10 In the days of his flesh, Jesus offered up prayers and supplications, with loud cries and tears, to him who was able to save him from death, and he was heard because of his reverence. Although he was a son, *he learned obedience* through what he suffered. *And being made perfect,* he became the source of eternal salvation to all who obey him, *being designated by God* a high priest after the order of Melchizedek.
Jesus, the faithful witness, states in the scriptures -that he is a man: “but now you seek to kill me, a man who has told you the truth that I heard from God. This is not what Abraham did.” John 8:40 He could have said he was a god-man…but he testifies only that he is a man. The truth is that God says even at the judgement the resurrected Jesus is still a man. “ Although God overlooked the ignorance of earlier times, He now commands all people everywhere to repent. For He has set a day when He will judge the world with justice by the Man He has appointed. He has given proof of this to everyone by raising Him from the dead.” Acts 17:30-31
God is love (1 John 4:8,16), and he laid down his own life for us (1 John 3:16), which is the greatest demonstration of love (John 15:13). The trinitarian "Father" did not lay down his own life for us. And the biblical unitarian "Father" did not lay down _his_ own life for us. Therefore, the trinitarian "Father" and the biblical unitarian "Father" are both _false_ Gods.
The one and only _true_ God is the unipersonal Spirit who "came down from heaven" _without leaving heaven,_ and who manifested _himself_ on earth in genuine human form, as _his own_ Son, so that he could lay down _his own_ life for us, raise _himself_ from the dead, and give eternal life to all who believe on _him._
And the _name_ of this unipersonal, _self-sacrificing_ Spirit is revealed to be the name which is above _every_ name: *JESUS.*
Jesus Christ the Son of God _IS_ the invisible Father made visible in genuine human form.
*1 TIMOTHY 3:16 (KJV)* _And without controversy _*_great_*_ is the _*_mystery_*_ of godliness: _*_GOD was manifest in the flesh,_*_ justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory._
KJV is all about yet another King/Caesar making himself pope. The Greek word “He” was replaced by the word God. Poor translation with “holy intent” I’m sure. The passage is about Jesus.
@@humblejoes3263 If "God is love" (1 John 4:8,16)...and if the greatest demonstration of love is to lay down one's own life to save others (John 15:13)...and if God did _not_ lay down his own life to save others...then "God is love" is a lie, no matter what Bible "version" it's in.
And yes, the passage is about Jesus...the _real_ Jesus.
@@loveofthetruth9398 If God didn't sacrifice himself, then God is not love, because the greatest love is _self-sacrificial_ love. But God _did_ sacrifice himself, by "coming down from heaven" _without leaving heaven,_ and manifesting _himself_ on earth in genuine human form, as _his own_ Son - "the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world" - and laying down _his own_ life for us.
God and the Lamb are not two different persons, a "they/them/their". God and the Lamb are the selfsame unipersonal "he/him/his" Spirit...whose name is JESUS.
*REVELATION 22 (KJV)* [3] And there shall be no more curse: but the throne *of GOD **_and_** of THE LAMB* shall be in it; and *HIS* servants shall serve *HIM:* [4] And they shall see *HIS* face; and *HIS* name shall be in their foreheads. ... [16] *I JESUS* have sent mine angel to testify unto you these things in the churches. *I am THE ROOT **_and_** THE OFFSPRING of David,* and the bright and morning star.
-- The root of David = The invisible God ("God" is the root of David's family tree, Lk.3:23-38).. -- The offspring of David = The invisible God made visible in genuine human form - that is, the Lamb.
For *God (the ROOT of David)* so loved the world, that he gave *his only begotten Son (the OFFSPRING of David),* that whosoever believeth in *HIM (JESUS, the root AND the offspring of David)* should not perish, but have everlasting life.

The Shema in Deuteronomy 6:4 (“Hear, O Israel: The LORD our God, the LORD is one”) affirms the oneness of God (that is: monotheism, not unitarianism), but it does not preclude the distinctions within the Godhead revealed in the New Testament.

There is One ONlY BEGOTTEN Son of the Father, JESUS!
The Holy Spirit comes from God the Father!
The Holy Spirit is fully in Jesus Christ.
Everything that was created was OF God the Father, BY Jesus His ONLY BEGOTTEN Son.
Jesus said my Father is greater than I. God the Father refers to Jesus in Hebrews chapter 1:8 as God.
1 Corinthians chapter 15: 24-28
Verse 28 And when all things shall be subdued unto him, then shall the Son also himself be subject unto him that put all things under him, that God may be all in all.
Read all of the book of John also.
Just like biblical and historical evidence proves that jesus and his apostles were vegatarians biblical and historical evidence also proves that the trinity, atonement, original sin and hell are very late misinterpretations and are not supported by the early creed hence its not a part of Christianity I pray that Allah swt revives Christianity both inside and out preserves and protects it and makes its massage be witnessed by all people but at the right moment, place and time
The secred text of the Bible says ye shall know them by their fruits
So too that I say to my christian brothers and sisters be fruitful and multiply

Let’s admit the obvious. Yeshua the Messiah became perfect. He was not born perfect; therefore, he is clearly not the “God the Son ” that the Christianity’s idolatry promoting leaders proclaim him to be Hebrews 5:8-9 Hebrews 7:28 John 17:3 please use common sense. Yeshua was not perfect at his birth. Instead, he became perfect - he was perfected. Since God is perfect and need not be perfected, Yeshua is obviously not God. Simple!

Hebrews 5:7-10
In the days of his flesh, Jesus offered up prayers and supplications, with loud cries and tears, to him who was able to save him from death, and he was heard because of his reverence. Although he was a son, *he learned obedience* through what he suffered. *And being made perfect,* he became the source of eternal salvation to all who obey him, *being designated by God* a high priest after the order of Melchizedek.

Jesus, the faithful witness, states in the scriptures -that he is a man:
“but now you seek to kill me, a man who has told you the truth that I heard from God. This is not what Abraham did.” John 8:40
He could have said he was a god-man…but he testifies only that he is a man.

*1 TIMOTHY 3:16 (KJV)*
_And without controversy _*_great_*_ is the _*_mystery_*_ of godliness: _*_GOD was manifest in the flesh,_*_ justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory._
Jesus is not the Father (John 14:23).
KJV is all about yet another King/Caesar making himself pope. The Greek word “He” was replaced by the word God. Poor translation with “holy intent” I’m sure. The passage is about Jesus.

If "God is love" (1 John 4:8,16)...and if the greatest demonstration of love is to lay down one's own life to save others (John 15:13)...and if God did _not_ lay down his own life to save others...then "God is love" is a lie, no matter what Bible "version" it's in.
And yes, the passage is about Jesus...the _real_ Jesus.
@@euston2216 God did not sacrifice Himself to Himself. Jesus is the "Lamb" without spot, who was sacrificed to God.
@@loveofthetruth9398
If God didn't sacrifice himself, then God is not love, because the greatest love is _self-sacrificial_ love.
*REVELATION 22 (KJV)*
[3] And there shall be no more curse: but the throne *of GOD **_and_** of THE LAMB* shall be in it; and *HIS* servants shall serve *HIM:*
[4] And they shall see *HIS* face; and *HIS* name shall be in their foreheads.
For *God (the ROOT of David)*
so loved the world, that he gave
*his only begotten Son (the OFFSPRING of David),*
that whosoever believeth
in *HIM (JESUS, the root AND the offspring of David)*
should not perish, but have everlasting life.
