I know .....I really want to know the depth of his mental state & the history behind how he got that way & how he was before he wound up in that basement because he stitched himself up without flinching or anesthesia...& I prefer proctor to be with the nurse....instead of his niece....... cause i think thats just wrong

there is no way i could betray proctor after that. that man would have my allegiance for life.

"I saved one for you", because that is what a true friend does. Burton was a good fighter but he also had total commitment, never back down. Like John Wick, a man of focus......almost suicidal focus in Burton's case. Thinking more about Burton, I realize he was a modern day samurai serving his load. Burton was the very definition of Giri. Burton was even welling to protect Proctor from the one person Proctor loved the most (after his mother passed away). Old Japanese saying; If you intend to die, you can do anything.

I think in the yers after this, he got a lot of training ECT and this is what helped CREATE the badass.
