“Banshee” actually turned out to be a pretty amazing series. My stepdad used to come in from the oilfield late as Hell from hauling rig all day and try to catch the new one every week on Sunday nights I think it was and for him to get all the way into a series like that there has to be a complicated twist linking folks together and the plot must play on a multitude of levels. Good stuff like I said.
The origin episodes were so well done, leaves you wanting more.
keep him mkk,uk
This Series deserves a spin off
Amen to that !
Would love to see one with Proctor and Burton
@@hazardmilk7259 that would be fuckin mint
@@hazardmilk7259 Almost every character is worthy of a spin-off to be honest.
Yes that would be so cool hood gets a phone call from he's daughter to let her know Carrie is in trouble again him and job come back to take the boards off sugar's bar clean the cob webs off
He makes your decisions before you do. He’s always one step ahead. he’s sheriff hood.
Favorite show.
Brilliant assessment. Lucas Hood is my : "I'm him"
Its a shame he did the whole 15 years like a man kept hes mouth shut no deals no protective custody and they still wanted to kill him when he got out
Never touch the daddy's girl !
As far as Hood knew he was/could be being questioned by one of Rabbit's insiders.
He would have died by speaking throughout the series.
Because this man is something
15 years for a failed heist. People get less time for murder. That’s insane.
RIP great Reg E. Cathey.
Great actor.. loved him in The Wire
@@grantd7545 and oz
And Outcast.
Come on, i'm sad now...
RIP
Holy fuck, that was an amazing short. All of these shorts and prequels could have been flashbacks in the show itself! The story is so multi-layered and complex, can't wait to see where this show is going
Steve if you have Cinemax you can watch it On Demand or on Amazon Prime. It’s the best series ever in my opinion!
shit dude
been seven fucking years. still very very cool series. i am right up there with you
@@willy-johndejager6810 8 years now hahaha
@@achraf1997.10 years now time flies
This was one of the most intense scenes I have seen in a long time. Perfect execution.
This is the best origins ep
Except for Hotwired
At 3:40-4:10, Lucas almost cried listening to a recorded 9-1-1 phone call ... hearing Ollek calling the cops on him. It made him realized that the TAKE was really a setup by Rabbit.
dude, how Antony his expressing his emotions with his eyes. top notch acting
The way he says no to being in the military makes it obvious that he was.
Thats the point :)
They should have asked Don Shipley to find out who he is.
"I got no game. Some cops, they got game. They come in with threats and rage. Others try to be your best friend. Personally, I don't think either one actually works" I think a cops best weapon is empathy.
Wow, that's good.
Well - and lasers.
Cops best weapon is that the suspect is already caught and going to jail. The best thing you can do in that situation is realize you can't do anything except make it worse.
Except he was running game the whole time.
Where can I watch this never seen this and is a complete series
Reg Cathey is a very underrated actor
yeah and he's dead
Luvelle Cummings, III very much so.
I watched this entire series. It was an awesome show, exciting, filled with mystery, you didn't know what was going to happen next. And when it did happen, much of the time it was pretty brutal. There were some great characters in this show and the acting was top drawer. I loved the storylines. I really missed tuning in once it was over. It was one of those shows that kept you glued to your chair. And left you thirsting for more. Great show.
I feel so old now, this show has been over for years now
Oh, tell me about it. I'm just waiting for dementia to set in. Pity anyone who has to care for me then.
I watched it recently after The Boys cuz I can’t get enough of this GOAT Antony Starr and man I rlly wish it was more than 4 seasons. The characters, the plot, the world building, everything is so perfect about this masterpiece!
Just watched it for the first time during lockdown. Was good first 3 seasons but season 4 👌
5 years now, but its better this way its still a pleasure to watch again just like other classics
that guy chain smoked for all those years and dies by a bullet. live life how you want
Rest in peace Reg E Cathey
This is my first time seeing this and being a big-time fan of Antony Starr as both a talented actor and person, I find it really cute how he's depicting his character enjoying food all while antagonizing the detectives 😆
I mean, I've seen some Banshee and Banshee Origins, but he's just an absolute stand-out as "Lucas Hood".
Banshee and Strike back a must see
Would of loved to hear hood’s real name. In my opinion, Ana should have called him by his first name in the finale when they say their goodbyes.
Why would it have mattered?
@@ontyam Closure, I guess. I never really wanted to know his name but his background - the truth.
His name is Anthony star they even showed it in the opening credits and since he's the sheriff with a star badge
@@dongxx that's the actor's name
@@ontyamI know but that's my head cannon
I wish the show had one more season. Its a shame of how he did 15 years because of Rabbit. Him missing out on the birth of his daughter, being with Ana/Carrie and him dealing with painful memories of his childhood. The PTSD he deals with. Rabbit took that away from him.
love these working actors on the show
I wish they would have made this show longer than four seasons
RIP Reg E. Cathey
Any detective that can make homelander crack has my respect
Oh, so that's what was referring Homelander when he said that nobody was calling him John anymore
Have to watch homrlander
@@utharkruna1116 Homelander is his character, "The Boys" is the name of the show
@@kirstycoo97 vougulbom named him john though even says so when homelander finds out about Becca being pregnant
Liked this even before I watched it!
Best show ever !!
good scene
I loved this part
The cop is good...plus good acting
So Racine remembered that face after 15 years. The first time he mentioned the name "Lucas Hood" in episode 1 definitely smells something different. He probably works with Rabbit
Racine hated Rabbit, and wanted to use Lucas to get to Rabbit. To be honest, I think EVERYONE see Lucas as a USEFUL object (to include ANA) because Lucas is a very loyal, sincere, and nice guy. Which makes him gullible and easy tool.
For someone without game... He's got game.
Wow. That's a violent show.
why didnt he just give out rabbit anyways ? Rabbit gave him out and he came after to kill him after he got out so whats the point of not giving him out ?
He's not a rat
I think he wants to stay a “ghost.” No one knows who he is or his backstory and he wants to keep it that way. If he rats on Rabbit, he would have to testify in court and give his name out to the world. He doesn’t want that.
that's right.👍 rabbit was a Rat.
Cem Ozen Watch it again. He said he wasn't going to do his job for him.
Snitches get stitches
They could've crammed it up and made like 12 episodes per season.
Glad Reg E. Cathey got to do some nice work on Luke Cage too, before he passed.
Sick ass show
This should of been in the show itself.
Hood decided not selling Rabbit at the beginning, he only pretended hesitating like he played that British Mafia Brandley or sth. He would never rat Mr. Rabbit for a lot: his "winning personality", he knew rat got killed, and he couldn't give out Anna and 10 million diamonds, if Rabbit went down for this, Anna would go down with him. That's not stupid, because he thought about it all and choose that way...painful to watch
The detective doesn't appear to stop recording he just folds the tripod and walks out (presumably still recording) :/
He was never recording in the first place.
Give me Rabbit give him to me I'll cut you a deal. Deals with the feds classic.. lol
Ok, that was great! They should all be like this rather than each one showing up in the same bar saying the same shit they said from the show
The crazy part is, his name actually Is John Smith. The most basic name imaginable. At the very end of the show, when he looks at his file, if you pause it at just the right moment you can make out his name. John Smith lol.
What's the name of the theme that starts playing at around 4:44? Does anyone know?
Tunefind is a great site that has all of the songs in shows and movies
The music seems to just be background music. You may be able to find it in the soundtrack but it’s not an official song as far as I could find
Some soundtracks include background music such as Requiem for a Dream
He knows...
I take it Job erased his records
where can i watch this?
Season and episode ?
Considering his criminal background, it's possible he was a member of The French Foreign Legion.
Skull Krusher407 nope, he worked for the Russian mob in New York!
@@juancopete4437 Before he worked for the Ukrainian mob.
Jon Cryer was born in New York City, NY in 1965.
Did he not give rabbit up because he knew if he did he was basically a dead man walking or was it something else
Banshee RoX !!!!
been a while since the series but why didnt he rat on rabbit for selling him out?
hes not a snitch bro its a pride thing plus rabbit probably has people whod kill hood for ratting him out
Never lie to someone smarter than you
nine years ago,, "never been to the urkraine.......... "
We never get to know his real name.
Antony Starr!
OZ special. Querns and Devlin
So, where were they hiding those weapons? In their pockets?
scalio!
fucking hell, he played that detective like damn fiddle!
Like a cop could recognize advanced training lol
Almost anyone can recognise it.
What does the cop mean by there isn't a file on him did he get erased or something???
Job made him a ghost
First he tells me how special I am and later says he does this all the time. Must be a lot of mercenary spooks getting around. It's also possible that Mr. Smith is right where he needs to be so he can complete his mission. This detective lacks imagination.
Bro chain smoking like the guy from the xfiles
People without verified identity can get trial and a sentence. I'm asking myself, is that less or more paperwork for the authorities.
Homelander jus trying to be a normal guy
Homelander is a pussy compared to Hood.
C.I.D. would most likely attempt and or secure his original Recruiter Application, MEPS and Reception Station "paper work" and extract any D.N.A./fingerprints in the Real World.
I would be crying and pissed all over
very good show but 6:57 is pretty good!
Good job Homelander
Guys I'm just now getting in this show but was bunker all ready in this lineup or did he show up later in this series?
He comes in during Season 3, IMO he was one of the best supporting in the series.
@@jtconley7647 yes most definitely, thanks for the respond.
2:07 homelander have the same real name ؛)
Lucas hood was either CIA or Delta for the army.
John smith is also what popular culture names it's CIA agents.
+Starkiller Job also gives you a new identity
He was nothing in the Army. He never graduated from Basic Training because he beat up the instructors. So, they discharged him before even giving hima beret. LOL
whatever but Dalton recruited him to his special unit
He was special ops.
Wait, was this in the show? I don’t remember this being in the show.
Reg E.!!!
I just noticed that this guy's homelander
2:05 for John Smith
*****SPOILER***** it's his real name *****SPOILER*****
+M. Merouane His real name is Gary
+bobzepie How do you know that ?
+M. Merouane It's what Carrie says to Hood in the finale when they say their farewells, it's not very audible but Trieste Kelly Dunn (Siobhan) Tweeted Antony Star after the finale saying "So Hoods real name is Gary right?!" And he confirmed it in a reply.
Hm I will check that !
R.I.P. Reg E. Cathey
Lester Freeman...
THE HOMELANDER
If I were the cop I'd be pissed at Racine for fucking up the interrogation. It was the smell of the Fed's cigarette smoke that gave him away!!
Lucas still wouldn't believe him, because like he said: "you're a detective.. you're sitting here & making offers way above your pay grade"
@@mr.jx5n324exactly. Racine should have just interrogated hood himself
Reg Cathey was in The Corner and The Wire 😢

I just completed the series. I know I'm hella late but I'm confused. I don't think i ever saw this scene during the episodes. So is it another part or what? Can someone tell me plis?
It's one of the short "Origins" episodes.
Outrageous fortune. Dope smoker with his Maori mate munter
What about bob!
Hes supposed to be in his mid 20s? Lol...
He’s 45 this month 😂🤣😂 he still looks good tho
Yea that kinda bugged me too lol.. I always assumed he was mid to late 30's earlier in the show.
@@grantd7545
This is 15 years before the show takes place.
You don't fuck with Kerns.
can anybody tell me why the FBI agent when he saw him in the first season didn't say anything?
Darkestral Kwt watch it.
Assuming you mean Agent Racine. Pretty sure he appeared in the first episode of season 2. (Agent Xavier was in season 1 but he has no clue who Hood really is)
Racine was using them as bait because his only priority at that point was putting Rabbit away whether legally or "shoot him till he's dead" as he later says. He definitely recognized him in that first episode of season 2 but presumably wasn't 100% sure it was the same guy all those years ago until later when he followed his & Annas movements.
😂....He said your going to look 40....Nope...You come home with that penitentiary preservation....Looking younger....In better shape....And on top of your game if you do the time and don't let the time do you...I know I did...
Thats an actor
Especially since he's absolutely different in real life
