@Dave For the Midgate on the Chevy Silverado & GMC equivalent: I had the Avalanche which had a Midgate as well. I used that to transport doors, mattresses, and 4x8 sheets of drywall, plywood, and insulation. All with the tailgate up (so you could even put loose stuff in there too) and when paired with the tonneau cover, protected from the weather and not needing straps. It was pretty great!

That GMC Sierra EV is just the best looking and longest range truck, that is my next EV truck.

Dave, I’m sure I am biased as a Lyriq owner, but I’ve had 5 EVs (right now we have a 2023 Model X and a 2024 Lyriq). I highly recommend you spend some time behind the wheel of an AWD Cadillac Lyriq. It is so comfortable and quick and the features inside with massaging seats, super cruise, 33 in display, great stereo, etc. make it my choice over the Model X any day.

I was really surprised but I bought a car in February and I was able to use my debit card to make the down payment. I think they prefer a card these days.
Kathy made a good point about the Equinox and the Blazer being too similar. There isn’t much difference in length and width and the Blazer is just a bit taller. I think they should have brought the Equinox in blue as it didn’t show well in the black.
I never thought about the Dynamic Island getting in the way to decline A call.

I was listening to this as I was doing something around the house and noticed the bias against *gm* within Dave’s commentary - then I checked the channel’s name and it all made sense. There’s something about Out of Spec that everyone there seems to be Tesla or Ford biased and have something against the general.

I support Kathy's admiration for GMC Hummer EV SUV. However I believe Kyle is right: both Rivian R1S and the Hummer should come in a longer wheel base version the length of their respective trucks to unleash their true potential.

NOTHING at that show should be roped off except the concept cars.
Yeah. We went to the Cleveland auto show and the only things that were roped off were the prototypes, $400,000+ cars, and the classic cars.
The Buick wildcat was seriously cool.
GM is killing it in the EV department. I love the Hummer, Silveraldo and especially the Denali EV. I'm pretty disappointed in both Toyota and Honda as they don't have much to offer at this point and are behind the 8 ball IMO.
I was there back in 2018! I remember the Toyota Fine Comfort Ride prototype was there. They had little to no electric cars back then haha.
Do they still have the Lego model of the building when you walk in?

I'm definitely saving for a 2025 Porsche Taycan 4S...in 2028, lol. Can't wait for it. So many upgrades...and they'll probably be on the Tesla charging network by then.
Tesla is the best car company ever! No gas stations, No oil changes, No smog check, No corrupt dealership, No catalytic converter and as fast as a $650,000 Lamborghini.

The Equinox EV is infinitely better than the Blazer EV in looks, size, and price. For me it will be a great Bolt replacement when I get to it.
Here's a cautionary quote from what critics were saying about a company that was about to go bankrupt regarding hybrids and "range extenders."
"critics see the car as basically another half-step in a company prone to half-steps. They point to the Volt's internal-combustion gasoline engine - dubbed by GM as a "range extender," meant to supply electricity to the motor after the vehicle has exhausted its 40-mile range on battery power alone - as an indication that the plug-in electric car is not quite what it purports to be."
Sound familiar anyone? How did that work out for them? This about the time when a little company called Tesla had already committed to all-electric.

Has VW corrected all of the dash computer problems on the ID4? And are the ones built here still eligible for the tax credit? Unfortunately all of the cars at this show are priced so high that most people can’t afford them.
It is very difficult to have a Polestar 3 vs that spicy Hyundai Ioniq 5N.
I believe the Toyota Highlander HEV even in long base doesn't deserve the attention in the video compared to scornfulness shown toward Chevrolet Blazer BEV.
I think the Lyriq is really cool- it just needs Toyota build quality.

I really wanted to like the Solterra, but it is too much a Toyota and not enough Subaru. Just cannot see getting one when it looks so much like the bZ4X. But, I am with Kathy; that electric Macan is really nice (and you can get it with massaging seats). Get the Macan! 😉 That GMC Sierra EV though; I love it! 🤩

Other than body style, what is the difference between Macan and Taycan. Why should I buy one over the other?
The Taycan is a real Porsche designed to be a performance EV. The Macan is nothing but a dressed up Audi E-Tron with a Porsche badge slapped on the front and a price hike to match
The GMC looks like Lexus designed the nose.

It's a tough market out there. Buyers market in both the Used and New. The challenge you are going to have is that Lucid is luring buyers with cheap $. Be sure to price it right and advertise everywhere online including eBay. Best of luck to you Debra

I personally would want the Equinox over a Blazer because the Blazer is just too big for a family of two. But the one at this show was very ugly. I hope Chevrolet comes out with the Equinox they showed on TV about a year ago. The color choices were awesome. Another point is the Blazer loaded would cost about the same as a Cadillac Lyric and the Lyric is a much nicer car. I was hoping Cadillac would have the Optic here.

Not sure how anyone thinks Hyundai or Kia actually makes good looking vehicles. They have been hideous to look at for that past 10 years.

The battery electric car is the most polluting vehicle on Earth at this point. Until hydrogen electric vehicles around the road The battery electric should not be used or built in the world or this country. A diesel electric is far less polluting the diesel is a generator once it gets up the temperature and stays at an RPM it's virtually non-polluting compared to a battery electric. Super efficient. Until people like you start to reveal these things that I've told you we are pretty much just doomed with the push of these battery electrics
