  • @MrOrtmeier
    @MrOrtmeier Місяць тому +12

It really boils down to this:
    1. How much space do you need? Do you always have people with you in the car and do you need boot space?
    2. How far do you travel? If you're exclusively local in town electric might be cheaper and you won't run out of charge. Whereas if you're doing cross country you'll want petrol/diesel.
    3. How much comfort do you want? Your BMW was very comfortable, spacious and had a high seating position giving a good view of the road.
If you get a saloon car it will be a bit tighter in there, you will sit lower with less visibility, carrying passengers will be less comfortable. Getting in and out will be harder than an SUV.
A sports car will be even lower, with high fuel consumption, less space and no room for more than 1 passenger. Getting in and out will give you a workout.
From your intro I'd say you'll be best served with another SUV because if you're getting in and out of it every day you want comfort, interior space, ease of getting in and out and a good view of the road. Especially if you're sat in traffic. You don't want to be squeezed into a smaller car.
Ask Lexus if they do an SUV. That Maserati SUV was also sweet.
Also try a Mercedes SUV and of course the Cayenne.

Customer Service is important but..... My father was a professional Porsche Volkswagen Specialist and his advice when buying a car was "You don't buy a car, you buy a service department". A car dealer needs to have awesome customer service in all departments from reception to the sales staff, the service department, and even the person who maintains the facilities. Car dealers need to hire professionals and also people who have great customer service skills. Good Luck!

Not a single salesperson approached me, and I had to practically beg for someone to talk to me. I asked them to follow up with me about stock availability within their group, but after 8 days, I still haven't heard anything. The service was terrible. I won’t be going back!

I went from $176,000 in debt with zero savings or retirement to now, 2 years later, fully debt-free and over $1000,000 net worth. I know that doesn't SOUND like a lot, but I'm incredibly proud of it. - it has one of the best natural aspirated engine which soon will be extent technology.
    - it’s super unique excellent performance.
    - Lexus known for being the best to live for and excellent deprecation value world wide.
    - it has a good space , and it easy rider
    - Lexus known to be super comfortable as daily driver and I believe this car has air suspension hence it will be easy to drive on bad roads.

Canadian here, funny, I had similar experience with a local Audi dealership here as well.
Wrote off my BMW wanted to buy an S4, walked into a dealership after a round of golf. Wasn't dressed quite nicely, the sales people walked away, I approached one, he looked me up and down and bluntly asked me what I wanted. I said I would like to test drive an Audi S4, he said we don't have one (but clearly there is one parked right outside), he went and got me a base trim Audi A4 Avant. Drove that, I asked him again if he can give me pricing on an S4 and he said full of judgement "you can't afford one kid".. While I was waiting for that said sales person to come back with a price, I started walking out the door. At that same moment, a nice gentleman approached me and asked me how he may have helped me. I bluntly told him, had you approached me first, I would not have been walking away.
Customer service is key like Yanni said, don't be too judgmental.
