    Finally...a genius idea on the coffee filters...I've been racking my brains trying to find something with no fibers coming off on my pieces.

    Loved the coffee filter tip. I have a ton left over from 2020!

    Thanks for the tip on coffee filters. Baby wipes is what I used. Too much fuzz to get stuck in crevasses and too wet.

    Bahaha I just bought your mouse ears and accessories mold on Etsy and I was just browsing on how to enhance the line work in them and came across this video. I saw your logo and I was like “hmmm that looks familiar” then I realized you’re the seller 😂

    I never thought to use coffee filters, I tried a few different things but always had to pull off fibers from my pieces afterwards

    Would this work for a more 3d piece? I have a small skull but I'm having a lot of trouble with the teeth in particular 😪
    I appreciate any help! I was having a tough time trying to find something to help so I'm grateful you made this video 😄

      Yes this should work! Take a gloved finger and do a VERY thin layer to coat it. If it isn’t being handled a lot, you might be able to not seal it.

    Can you also use Chrome powder for the molds as well? Because I have a coaster that I really want to try this out.

    Can this be done with water bases acrylic markers? And how would you multiple colors?

    I just received the Christmas tray mold, is this the same technique we should use to get the details to show on the tray? Bruce’s instructions say not to add inks or dyes before the epoxy.

    • @megansnyder-majesticbuckey7419
      @megansnyder-majesticbuckey7419 4 роки тому +3

      Hey June! You can totally use this technique for the Santa Tray. You add the paints after you demold it, so you put it right on the epoxied tray and not the silicone mold 🤗

    What if the lines in a mold are RAISED. I have a mold that has very long and thin raised lines throughout. I cannot brush the mica on them because they are too thin. Any suggestions apppreciated

    My resin doesn’t look the same after I paint it.. it’s not nearly as shiny and the alcohol makes my resin kinda sticky seeming… what can I do to fix this?

      Sorry I missed this comment, this was a custom mold with a design from Joey Perez at Warhorse Design Co. Message me on Facebook in my group and I can get a custom mold for you.

    Found the title of this video very confusing as was looking for a video where you colour the moulds themselves (as the title suggested) rather than painting the finished piece. ☹

    • @backfistcustomsglittercrea9274
      @backfistcustomsglittercrea9274  2 роки тому

      Sorry it is confusing to you. There’s multiple ways to achieve this. For this specific piece I chose to color the product not the mold itself. It’s difficult with titles sometimes. Hope you still learned something.

    Why does the paint stay on the raised part of the design but not the rest of the mold?
