Chorus
She walked into town in a long white gown
And the band played on with no one around
And the rice was gone oh hours ago
And the white wheeled limousine's standing alone
Well they met at the club where the brasses blow
Where the wine did flow oh he moved so slow
But finally one night as the wind stood still
He got up the nerve and she said "I will"

Anyone that thought that Bruce Hornsby was a pop musician just had their eyes opened wide.
This just goes to show you there are phenomenal musicians that fly under the radar. The range is incredible
I agree the range of this show is incredible. And the Range was a great group. But, this is the Noise Makers
INCREDIBLE, IT WRAPS MY HEART AND SOUL WITH SO MUCH PASSION, AND I AM 69 YRS. OLD. ❤🌹
@@martyjansing2675 not sure I can give you a like for that but you do get a really loud groan & 🤦♂️.
Bruce Hornsby is a Legend. Not exactly flying under the radar...
Nothing like real music
I had endless shivers over my body, once I would have been worried that there are not many likes under the video. then I realized that intelligent people are a minority, people who can see beautiful and unique compositions are also a minority, this makes me realize that we are unique,
A band of masters, led by a generous, passionate, positive master.
It took me 6 months to figure out there wasn't even a light show to enhance the performance and it was purely the band straight killing it
BH is the QB of a fantastic Super Bowl team. Met him at Longwood Gardens (PA.) circa 2012. Great guy! Also, took my son to a 2014 show in Ocean City, NJ. My son loved the song-- WHAT THE HELL HAPPENED TO ME? Prior to the show, I Facebooked Bruce mentioning the song and my son... 3/4 of the way through the show, BH asks my son to stand up, and then proceeds to play the song! What a great moment in our lives. Wonderful guy, who "gets it"!!
Fantastic story. ( a fellow Dad in Glasgow, Scotland)
You serious bro? So cool if you are man
@@GibsonguyLondon It is a true story!!
This my favorite band. Hands down. I've worked on the guitars of world famous folks for 30+ years. I LOVE how these folks relate to each other. I love the connected energy. THIS is what a band's energy needs to be. It uplifts folks. I'm an addict. This IS the stuff. I'll shut up for now ....
1000% agree! I love how Bruce nods his approval at a soloist who just slayed. The sax solo in this tune... holy shit. And Bruce hitting strings of 32nd note triplets like a mad man during his solo... These guys absolutely rip.
FANTASTIC! BRUCE Hornsby is an American treasure
I was at that concert. Mind-boggling musicianship coupled with flawless mix and acoustics. It really doesn't get better than this.
Bruce Hornsby: GENIUS!
There are some great musicians in this ensemble. Well done gentlemen.
Some?
I wish I could've played this for you Dad but I found it after you passed. I know you would've loved it.
This song is a fantastic song to drive to
That guitar solo.. omg!
Man, this is musical perfection. Such am amazing song, great arrangement and soo much musical talent. One of my all time favorite musical moment captured on video. 💪🏻
This performance/ensemble is pure BLISS.

The Bass Player & the Lead Guitar are Fantastic !!!!!!!!!!!!
Really heard this for the first time yesterday. It's been on a loop ever since.

love and support
Hope you are doing fine
Good lord what a great compostition of that version!
I've been a believer for a long time but hot damn! These gems just keep coming. Thank you.
Wow...Just wow...........
The ending reminded me of Dire straits telegraph road
you are so right.
spot on with that!
A truly AMAZING PERFORMANCE!!!!! CONGRATS TO ALL MUSICIANS, THEY' VE PLAYED REALLY FANTASTIC!!! PRETTY COOL AND AWESOME!!!
Genius Masters at work!
Just love the tone of that guitar. Wish I could play like that. Doug, so glad you've still got an Ax to grind.!!!!!
Simply spectacular! What great song, so full of energy!
Total class -beauty , musicianship and arrangements...maks most 'popular music seem mediocre...3 cheers Bruca and the beautiful noise band !
Man O Man!! Bruce and this should have filled up stadiums all over the world.. Hope can still see that some day soon after Colvid-19. He can easily do that.. Love that man !!!🐵🌷🎹🎹
Hey helen 🥰
God I love this
oh my God ..ohh my God.
What a fantastic performance by everyone on stage. Loved the sax and guitar (got some Gilmour/Floyd vibes) solos too!
I would actually compare the guitar solos in this particular song more to Mark Knopfler than David Gilmour. That being said, this is a great performance!
Truly epic.
What a performance
Perfect music. Are there better musicians than these. Sonny Emory is my my favourite drummer of all time. Great feel and tone. Like everyone else
Favourite song
Great moment at 9:52 when Bruce smiles at Doug, as if to say- "You are on it!"
Love sonny emery killer drummer!!
I love the Sax Player & The Drummer and The Piano
That sax solo was tasty. :D
Nice touches on the video composition too; not distracting, but accenting.
This is such a cool well together song specially the guitar solo I forget the gentleman's name but man sure is talented love it I love it!! I remember his name now JT Thomas on guitar excellent individual.
Not quite right. It's John "J.T." Thomas on organ and Doug Derryberry on guitar. But they are all excellent individuals. :^D
POWER MUSIC Música poderosa sin dudas!
maravilhoso, fantástico... êxtase musical!!!!!
RIP RS Hornsby. Great solo!
The solo is Doug Derryberry, not unlike RS to be fair
@@aaronmcmahon6537 Yeah, Doug is really killing it here!
I got to see you in Layton Utah last year, it was a TREAT. The crowd was pretty mellow but I friggin loved seeing you live. Please come back!
Thank you!
Smile smile smile. Come on! It doesn't get better.
Best directed music dvd made.
So good!
great love it
Wow!♥♥♥
just great
Fantastic
speechless...
❤🔥❤
Epico!
Wow...
❤️👍😉🎶
I like the version with Pat Metheny better. There's something about the chord progressions in this tune that remind me of PMG's Half Life of Absolution. Anyone else know that tune?
@Linda Harrison, I’m going to check it out
Yes! I hear it! 2 amazing musicians, Hornsby and Metheny. I wouldn’t be surprised if they influenced each other. Both utilize that “heartland” harmonic flavor. Listen to the composer that, I believe, truly influenced them - Aaron Copeland - harmonically and texturally
@@randifishenfeld Aaron Copland is one of my all-time favorite composers. Also, this music is rooted in Irish folk music.
🤙🤙🤙
If you wanna hear something totally Awesome check out “ Camp Meeting “. It’s Bruce with jazz players Christian McBride & Jack DeJonette . Straight ahead jazz. I’m sure you’ll enjoy it 😎
Any drummers in the crowd that can tell me what beat Sonny Emory is playing at 10:12 and 10:45 when he temporarily breaks out of the 4/4 beat?
7:37 - 7:40 - Weird jump cut or superhuman guitar switching powers?
2:30 - Well, the electric guitar is on his back, but still...
Never noticed. Good catch. Weird
I don´t conform: few views! All wrong! I don´t conform. Sounds like a disrespect to a giant artist and genius like Bruce Hornsby!
What are all the papers on his piano?
Song requests from the audience, he takes them at each show.
who knew tucker carlson played lead guitar
@richardweidner1625 That seems a slur against Doug Derryberry. There's no resemblance & it's not funny.
Its like Dave Matthews Band with Piano! kkkkk, joking
yikes whos the new sax dude?
Bobby Read!
@John Wanderlich Bobby Read wasn't new! He was part of Bruce's band from 1993-2013/14.
