From Jerry Lee Lewis, to Leon Russell to Elton, to Bruce, the piano is overlooked in rock and roll. Hornsby has a fluid, melodic style and I love watching and listening to him play. This was his best song ever, IMO

One Sunday I was going to see my Girlfriend, I stopped at a nearest pub and one of my best buddies, Morgan, saw me and we started drinking, Hennessey, I remember well. Since I ddnt have own transport that time, he dropped me at my girlfriend's place. In his car he was playing this song. All well we parted ways, around 19:00hrs as I was going back to my apartment, there was a huge accident on the main entrance along a very busy road,Bang, Morgan was stuck, lifeless in his car. RIP MY FRIEND
I bought this cassette when it came out in 1988. Great album start to finish. I pulled it out of my 400+ cassette collection for the first time recently after almost 34 years. Completely forgetting how great it was and how beautiful this song is. I greatly appreciate it now that I’m much older. Bruce did an interview some time back with a radio host explaining what the song was about. Now every time I hear it, I get lost in the words and paint my own music video. Just a beautiful song all around.

Came looking for this after Donald Sutherland died recently. Absolutely loved Backdraft. One of my favourite films of my youth. Had the soundtrack on a cassette and used to listen to it on my Walkman!!!! Watched the movie again recently after Donald died and the music is as good as ever.

Only discovered this track through the 2023 HBO show The Bear. Epic, goosebumps music. I always sang along to 'Thats the way it is' as a kid as my dad played it in his car. 'The Show Goes on' is just a wonderfully uplifting piece of music. Feel very blessed to have found it.

10 years ago tomorrow, 20 children and 6 teachers and administrators were murdered in Sandy Hook, Connecticut. I had no connection to anyone affected by this tragedy, but like everyone after I heard the news I felt a numb sense of grief and despair at such senseless killing the rest of the day. As I sat on the train to go home at the end of that day, this song by Bruce Hornsby and the Range came on in my headphones at the exact moment the train started to pull away from the station. Only discovered this track through the 2023 HBO show The Bear. Epic, goosebumps music. I always sang along to 'Thats the way it is' as a kid as my dad played it in his car. 'The Show Goes on' is just a wonderfully uplifting piece of music. Feel very blessed to have found it.

10 years ago tomorrow, 20 children and 6 teachers and administrators were murdered in Sandy Hook, Connecticut. I had no connection to anyone affected by this tragedy, but like everyone after I heard the news I felt a numb sense of grief and despair at such senseless killing the rest of the day. As I sat on the train to go home at the end of that day, this song by Bruce Hornsby and the Range came on in my headphones at the exact moment the train started to pull away from the station. It felt like the soundtrack to the sorrow of the whole day.
