    It’s amazing how you put so much in to your videos! Today’s surprise was fixing the cows hoofs,real HGP work. Wow the cheese house is moving along quickly. Cannot wait to see the barn update for the goats. Thanks again for bringing us along.❤️🙏🏼

    Hard to believe that Pumpkin is a full blown milking cow. Seems like yesterday she was in the calf barn 😂❤️

      @@ADairyonthePrairieand I hope you sell it online so other folks can get it also. I live in minnesota, USA and I would order and I'm betting a whole lot of other people would too.

    I wonder if “Pressure Treated Plywood” would stand up better in your stalls they probably get damp from the goats?

    I’m sure your goats will like the barn much better than the double wide trailer to birth their kids.

    3/4" plywood? That stuff is $80 a sheet in the US.
    OSB will work just as good and costs half.
    !

    • @ADairyonthePrairie
      @ADairyonthePrairie  17 днів тому +1

      OSB won’t hold up against goats nearly as well as a normal sheet of plywood unfortunately.

      @@ADairyonthePrairiehow much is a sheet of plywood in Canada where you folks live in Saskatchewan.

    Why wouldn't you put vinyl panels over the 3/4 plywood and insulation in the barn pens instead of just leaving plywood that cannot be cleaned properly? I would think if you're going to do it do it so it can be maintained and cleaned.

    • @ADairyonthePrairie
      @ADairyonthePrairie  17 днів тому +2

      Vinyl costs a lot more money to put up! Currently do not have the funds for that, so putting up fresh wood that hasn’t housed animals before is the best bet.

    Your dad doesn’t have a clue how to trim hooves. Once you see blood you put down the grinder and grab a knife not keep on grinding. VERRY not professional and not good herd health care

    • @ADairyonthePrairie
      @ADairyonthePrairie  17 днів тому +4

      This is how hoof trimming has always been done here. A sore was opened, which allowed for the contents to flow out and relieve pressure. Many cows on our farm have been fixed from being treated this way. I’ll show cow 1259 in a follow-up video so you can see how she’s doing. “VERRY” rude to judge other people’s methods without more context 😉.
