Thank you Scotty for the great content you have produced over the year and can’t wait for more in 2022 , wishing you and your family all the best in the New Year mate .
Scotty remember boost is a product of restriction and you've had the manifolds opened up and flowed so 14psi is a lot of boost with that free flowing setup.
Scotty, you've kept plugging away with your chin up the entire year and set a bloody good example for all us. Thanks mate for continuing to bounce back, wishing you all the best in 2022.
Thanks Scotty it has been a pretty crappy year but your videos have helped to get us through it, thanks to yourself and your team.... Thanks, Happy 22 mate...👍
Thanks for a year of your fun and humorous takes on everything you do Scott Your doing so many car projects that keep us connected and not thinking of the other things
Thank you Scotty - you and everyone else involved with these shows have helped ease the pain of 2020 2021. Have a safe and nice day all. CHEERS from AUSTRALIA.
Thank you Scotty for all the work your put into all your episodes and keeping us all entertained through out this shitty year. Best wishes enjoy the break and will catch up again in 2022. Cheers !
Thanks for all the great content this year 👍👍 If you run it again before you pull all the cooler pipes off: start it up, put a ping-pong ball (or something) in the silicone dent, then mash the throttle to see how far you can launch it 🤣
Great experiment Scotty. These M90's are heat pumps but I've never seen one intercooled. I wasn't sure how much extra power adding an intercooler would make. Back in the day a mate had an M90 on his 1UZ Soarer (otherwise all stock) vs my 1UZ Soarer with full bolt-ons, such as long tube headers, exhaust, piggy backed ECU with MAF-less tune. The Naturally aspirated car went just as hard. Keep the experiments coming. Have a great break and thanks for all of the entertainment this year. Really appreciate it - you guys are doing a great job with the channel.
Thanks for the entertaining content throughout the year Scotty 🙂 It has been a rather shitty year for us here in VIC but the rest of the world too. Everyone remember to make use of the free mental health phone services available if you have been struggling during this year 👍 As for Supermang, maybe a custom water to air cooler tucked up close to the inlet manifolds inlet port to try and package things nicely and reduce boost tubing lengths. Once all done she'll be a lively barge on the road and return good times down the track.
Hope you and the whole carnage team have had a very nice cristmas and will have a happy new year. Can't wait for future episodes. I want to see supermang doing the right numbers as expected. And the Trollvo... And Dad's Ute...
scotty have loved your work for years and love the videos ever since the pf days i hope u have some better luck soon man but please keep going as u are you are my favorite Aussie you-tuber
Thanks for your time and effort throughout the year with all the bs lockdowns and other shit for battling through to bring us some great content and keeping the fans entertained with your positive attitude and great sense of humor Scotty you are gold mate
Damn awesome to watch the builds. I worked out that for street use and to get 12's you need a 3.56 diff. And probably fabricate a better intake system.... LOL
Personally, Scotty all that silicon and lots of sucking in and out sounds like a pretty good time.......memories of Thailand trips with the footy lads..... Awesome as always, best wishes for 2022.
Ohh this feels like a Richard Holdner video, we are getting different types of intercooler tests, bloody fantastic. Changing the cam won't help a great deal as you are up against the threshold of the blower. You have just found out what many others have found... Spinning the blower faster doesn't equate to much more power. As you are increasing speed trying to deliver more air, you are proportionally decreasing the blower efficiency (and adding back heat). The back flow at the blower is limiting the boost. The only way to get more boost is to reduce restriction, or put on a bigger blower, a bigger cam would help some, as would going to two barrel coolers, but ultimately the physical limitations of the blower sealing is going to prevent you getting much more boost out of it. Just a little food for thought... You are providing the barrel with colder water than it is humanly possible to in the car during normal driving conditions, and while that is great for making peak numbers on a dyno, it isn't going to be sustainable on the street. Being this is not a turbo car where you can easily adjust the boost levels, you are going to need to provide it with a cooling source that can sustain the boost level you want. I know you like the idea of the barrel cooler, but a regular air to air might be more practical to be able to safely tune it.
@@wetsox278 this is fairly typical of this type of blower. They really aren't designed for high boost applications. About 10 PSI seems to be about their sweet spot, leaning on them just creates more heat and eventually leads to losing power as you discovered. I have seen some people experiment with putting nylon strips on the rotors like B&M did with their blower (basically a 6-71 clone) but then you have physical contact between the rotors leading to all the parts including the seals wearing. Big boost is best left to turbos and centrifugal blowers.
Great video 🙂👍 I have been into the L67 3.8SC for a long time, but I have never seen a set up like that here in the states. I really like the piece under the supercharger, that allows one to add an external intercooler. All the ones I have seen here are the ones that go below the supercharger, with the heat exchanger in the front of the vehicle
Looking forward to seeing this thing done and on the dyno again doing runs 💯🙂 You've done well great content Scotty, see you out the tracks one day soon 🍻🤙
Great content all year. Thankyou. 👍 Hot tip. For testing, carry a can of matte black paint and spray a spot where you want to use the thermal gun. Emissivity set to approximately 0.96
Hope you and fam had a great Christmas Scotty. Thanks to you and rest of SM team for all the content over the year. Look forward to more "carnage" next year mate. Take care and stay safe 🤗
Great work Scotty, glad you did this stuff. I'd really love to see a much bigger charger on it next.... could you imagine the supermang possibilities 😍
Well...... Now you know. Which is what Dyno time is about, Finding limits and testing setups which on the bright side didnt break anything. Hope you are watching this at home Scotty, with a cuppa kicking back for a few days. Maxx performance though, those blokes get a massive shout out! The OG Carnage partners in... well Carnage from Day One! Roll on 2022
Wonder if a Bov would sort that vacume out at idle. Also Can appreciate that it's always a case of 50/50 in regards to blowing something up,and always 100% send with Scotty, legend.
Scotty, back in my mang days i had a red vn with a VT V6 supercharged motor with a manual. motor was stock besides a pulley and a set of 1.98 roller rockers from MACE. It made around 210rwkw and 15psi of boost. Try the rockers out they made a fair difference
Intercooler as a rule are a restriction, the cold air coming out of it is denser air so the combined that’s why your are reading lower boost numbers. But colder dense air will make more power at lower boost numbers. Boost psi is generally just a measurement of restriction
I had a l67 years ago, 263rwkw (98) it made double stacked under blower w2a mega blizzard Intercooler from mace Is the blower ported? I ported out the blower elbow and retro fitted a ls1 throttle body , lower intake manifold was also ported along with the heads
HI SCOTTIE LOVE AND A BIG OLD MAN HUG TO YA thx for keeping us entertained while in lock-down yer lets reset the 20's 2022 reload lol ? have a fast and safe one
Thank you Scotty for the great content you have produced over the year and can’t wait for more in 2022 , wishing you and your family all the best in the New Year mate .
I'm living memories through you Scottie. You are where we started back in like 2006. I'm loving it. Keep it up mate.
What a year it has been, and you guys have managed to keep us entertained with plenty of carnage content. Thanks heaps guys and see you in 2022!
JD's sitting on intercooler ice- your a man after my own heart Scotty
10:15 you got me 🤣 .
“It’s not making any horrible noises… well, other than the fact that it’s a V6 Commodore”.
Good to see her making some power.
The restriction is between the throttle body and the back of rotors in the blower. The factory elbow wont flow any more.
We'll address that
Well done Scotty and SM team, another great year of content 🤙
Im not a commy fan but... supermang is one sweet beast
Thanks for all the entertainment this year Scotty and the team you guys definitely made life better bring on 2022 😎
Thanks Scotty it has been a pretty crappy year but your videos have helped to get us through it, thanks to yourself and your team.... Thanks, Happy 22 mate...👍
Thanks for a year of your fun and humorous takes on everything you do Scott
Your doing so many car projects that keep us connected and not thinking of the other things
Of all the end of year youtube video's this is my favourite. Thanks for just having fun with cars, the way it should be.
Carnage brought great entertainment and escape from the news etc.. You guys are great. Thanks for what you provided throughout the year.
2021 was made somewhat palatable with the entertaining Valiant ute build, among others. Thanks to the team there!
Thank you Scotty - you and everyone else involved with these shows have helped ease the pain of 2020 2021. Have a safe and nice day all. CHEERS from AUSTRALIA.
Thanks Scotty and the gang, enjoyed the videos all year.
This just reminds me of a heap of the boys rooting around in the back shed.. awesome content fellas
Seeing scotty give the thumbs up and say "mint" made my day. Thanks scorty for all your uploads and fun and I look forward to 2022
Thanks Scotty for a great year, you have made it a little brighter for so many people that watch your channel.

Interresting experiment make more of that. Happy New year Scotty and have a good car year in 2022.
Damn awesome to watch the builds. I worked out that for street use and to get 12's you need a 3.56 diff. And probably fabricate a better intake system.... LOL
Thanks Scotty, fun video. All the best for the break and 2022.
Awesome work this year Scotty. Supermang and the big block barina is great wholesome content 👌 👏
happy new year scotty and the whole carnage team ,next year is gonna be awesome for everyone
Personally, Scotty all that silicon and lots of sucking in and out sounds like a pretty good time.......memories of Thailand trips with the footy lads..... Awesome as always, best wishes for 2022.

Spot on, I found this out the hard way. it reached a point where going faster didn't improve power, it did the opposite.

Always entertaining.

great work mate . HSV carnage DEVISION lives on . true blue ford dude here = loving it .
Great video 🙂👍

They're a fun motor to play with. We'll get serious about this one soon. thanks for watching
Good one Scotty, that was a fun one, and interesting to see the different intercoolers. That’s for the lockdown distractions
Thanks scotty looking forward to 2022
Thanks Scotty, have a great Christmas and New year. Love ya work!
Looking forward to seeing this thing done and on the dyno again doing runs 💯🙂
You've done well great content Scotty, see you out the tracks one day soon 🍻🤙
Great content all year. Thankyou. 👍
Hot tip. For testing, carry a can of matte black paint and spray a spot where you want to use the thermal gun. Emissivity set to approximately 0.96
Thanks for the year of awesomeness.
luv it if there's ice in something it's an eski just add grog truly Aussie great job boys looking forward to next year
Interesting project, I can’t wait to see the results 👍🏻
Cheers for the great videos through 2021 mate, really appreciate it. To you and the whole team, take care, see you in 2022 at Heathcote.
Trolvo is ready to go. We'll see you soon
I've got a small idler pulley on my l67 near the supercharger tensioner
Hope you and fam had a great Christmas Scotty. Thanks to you and rest of SM team for all the content over the year. Look forward to more "carnage" next year mate. Take care and stay safe 🤗
Thanks for all the entertainment Scotty, enjoy a well deserved break mate 🤙🤙🤙
Great video and I wanna wish you, family, and team a Merry Merry Christmas.
Great work Scotty, glad you did this stuff. I'd really love to see a much bigger charger on it next.... could you imagine the supermang possibilities 😍
I'm glad you did that a2a to w2a boost pressure different test.. I've got a big w2a and was hoping it wouldn't be anymore restrictive than the a2a
It would probably be a different result at higher boost levels but what we're doing it was no difference
Roll on 2022
Love your work Scotty, all the best for the silly season and 2022 to you and the Streetmachine family and your nearest and dearest! 🤘😎🤘
All the best for the new year Scotty & crew
Yess, last episode of the year? The best wishes for next year guys!
awesome. now I want to bolt some cheap eaton on my project too
Thank you Scotty… All the best for 2022 🍻
Hey Scotty, I've got Baz's 2.4 on mine, standard cam, no IC and E85, works out to 17 PSI.
Putting a mace intermediate w2a IC on it soon.
Wonder if a Bov would sort that vacume out at idle. Also Can appreciate that it's always a case of 50/50 in regards to blowing something up,and always 100% send with Scotty, legend.
Nice work. Looking forward to 2022 how this goes. Merry Christmas and happy new yrar to you and your team.
Great work scotty good to see the w2a vs a2a back to back with some data. Put a 460 walbro intank and send it
Can't wait to see this setup at the drags
Ahh the smile on Zane’s face when the cans went in 😂
Happy new year 👍
Great content all year. Have a happy new year and stay safe. Thanks Scotty 😁
That blower sounds awesome!
Lol... its not making any horrible noises, aside from being a V6!!! The blower whine does a great job of drowning out the mang mang 🤣
Watch out doc with the delorean here comes Scotty with the supermang. 🤣👍

"It both sucks and blows" 😉
I had a l67 years ago, 263rwkw (98) it made double stacked under blower w2a mega blizzard Intercooler from mace
Is the blower ported? I ported out the blower elbow and retro fitted a ls1 throttle body , lower intake manifold was also ported along with the heads
I think you need a couple bypass valves, 1 hot side, and 1 cold side. Might stop joiners popping with throttle off.
HI SCOTTIE
LOVE AND A BIG OLD MAN HUG TO YA thx for keeping us entertained while in lock-down yer lets reset the 20's 2022 reload lol ? have a fast and safe one
Absolutely love your show.. 200% efforts sir.
Would have loved to see a centrifugal supercharger on this.. would probably make more power 🥰
Centrifugal blowers traditionally make alot of power but never seem to run fast unless you set them up with big converters and gears
Those joiners really chubb up when you stab the throttle 😂
Great episode Scotty. 300rwhp is pretty good. Look forward to seeing your carnage show in the new year. Merry Christmas to you and your family m8.
It'll make, just needs more fuel pump
If ya get a bit of black elec tape mate and stick a lil square on the metal intake pipes u will get a better reading from theheat gun.
