Ryan, I have watched loads (LOADS) of UA-cam running videos and this one, by a country mile, was one of my absolute favourites. You have made me chuckle repeatedly for the last half an hour. I’m running my first 100k on Saturday and this honestly was the best thing I could’ve watched to relax me and inspire me. I’m also doing the Thames path this September and I really hope we get to bump into each other. Well done on this amazing achievement and big props to Andre too! Oh my, what a GREAT video 😊😊
What an amazing achievement Ryan. Was really awesome joining you on my first 100km! 🎉🎉 You were truly motivational along the way. How you recorded this and ran simultaneously was monumental! Andre
I'm so glad this popped up in my feed. Your video is fantastic. I love the format and your frank, eloquent speaking style. Your resilience during the race was equally impressive. Great effort, well done! 👍🏻🏃♂️🙂
"never again, never aigain" - after that- "I'will return next year fitter, leaner, stronger and faster to smash that 16 hour target, I will do it" That's the spirit my friend. That's it all about. Mega respect!
Well done and truly inspirational! And I’m worrying about running the Chicago Marathon in 3 weeks. When the dark times come I will try and remember this video! Thank you for sharing your experience.
Mental toughness personified! The fact that you didn’t even seem to consider pulling out given the circumstances speaks volumes. Hats off! I haven’t ever done anything quite as extreme as this, but please give yourself a chance to overcome any post-event come down, if it happens. Love your attitude, an absolute inspiration!
Massive congratulations mate on completing that! I walked the 100k, and your description throughout is exactly the same as mine to friends since then! The 30km-50km in all that heat with little shade and breeze was unbearable, and the sun really chewed me up and spat me out! Think I finished in the low 500’s but ecstatic to get over the line! I completed my first 100k last year with London to Brighton about 5 hours quicker than this, a more technically demanding course, which just shows how the heat was a killer! Massive respect for you! ❤
First of all, CONGRATULATIONS on your finish. Dont forget that 35% of the '100k continuous' participants pulled out. Fantastic achievement. I've never done London to Brighton but I know it's no walk in the park, crazy to think that the weather conditions made that much of a difference.
That's just flat out incredible, Ryan. The fortitude you need to get through that on a good day is already insane. To do it in that heat, with the set backs of the fall, the feeling queasy, the getting lost, and knowing you've missed the first target. That's something else. When you're deep in the hurt locker, those are all things you could easily use to convince yourself it's ok to quit. Seeing this through is amazing. Another brilliant video, too. With these amazing feats, and such well made content, I don't know how your channel hasn't blown up yet. It can only be a matter of time before that happens. Better get ready for the Soreen sponsorship!
Wow! Thanks Lee. I appreciate the support as always. I've been making walking then running videos since 2019, recently 'upped my game' and I'm starting to see more people (then just my kids) watching now which is humbling. The 100k was a tough run/hobble but I enjoyed every second and I'm already looking forward to next year... Having said that, running 100k in a heatwave and battling sunstroke seems easier than a podium finish in Cat D on Zwift atm. 😅 I've also got a nice little weight drop to add to my Zwift profile but knowing my luck I'll get "promoted" to Cat C now. Lol.
@@RyanCondonFunnily enough, as I was watching, I was thinking, "you must think Zwift races are for pansies now", so pretty funny you say that! You will crush the next 100k. And it's going to be excellent following your journey, mate. 👊

All the things you've gone through in this video are concerns and questions ive had.
